    The oil change was fine but they removed my Carmax license plate holders and replaced then with Zeigler���s without my permission. This was a problem since I work at Carmax, purchased my vehicle from Carmax, and drove to work not noticing I had Zeigler license plate holders on my vehicle. Our GM noticed this and asked me about it which was very embarrassing. They have no right to alter the appearance of my vehicle without my consent. They did nothing to resolve the situation other than making me wait 30 mins to remove the Zeigler plate holders not to mention the second trip that was required to deal with it.

    They fixed the car, everything was running. They were nice. Even though they tell you first come, first serve. You still have to wait whether you have an appointment or not. They got it done, but it took a while.

    I have been using Pro Auto Works for 13 years. Glen and his crew have always and I mean always done a great job with my Jeeps. I can trust that what they tell me is in fact what is wrong and that they are only fixing what needs to be fixed. Sometimes I can wait for the repair but sometimes it is a emergency fix and they always get me back on the road. They even drove their tow truck all the way to Indiana to pick up me and my car on a Friday during rush hour. They always go the extra mile for their customers. They will always be my go to shop for as long as I live in Illinois.

    They were able to schedule my car immediately and provide me with a very nice courtesy car. I thought the problem might be the alternator, which they checked along with the started, but it was just the battery. Prius batteries are expensive and they found the best price available and gave me a senior discount. They also checked other systems and made recommendations for other repairs that could be done later, like new tires and front brakes, which came as no surprise. They simply weren't in the budget. I had my baby back in less than 24 hours. Thank you, Gages Lake.

    My car has had an issue with overheating. After my mechanic that I had been using couldn't fix the problem, I took it to Jerry over at Ingleside on the recommendation of a neighbor who has been bringing his cars there for many years. Initially, they replaced the radiator and the fan temp sensor, after some diagnostics, but unfortunately since I don't drive far to work, it was difficult to know whether or not that fixed the issue. It didn't so I brought it back a while later and they diagnosed it to be head gasket. It took a day to repair and bingo, this was the fix! The overheating stopped. While they had my car apart, they called me and told me that I needed a new water pump and that my drive belt was frayed and was unsafe to drive with. Since my car has over 110,000 miles, and those two items never being replaced, it was about time. He told me that normally these would run $800 extra in addition to the $900 for the head gasket, but he said they would do it for $200 since they were already in there. You have to respect that kind of honesty and drive to please the customer He showed me the belt when I got in and I'm glad he caught it when he did.
    After I got my car back, I noticed about a week later that there was oil and/or coolant underneath my car. It was random, because I had been driving it for a week without seeing it. I figured it was a new problem. I took it back to them thinking it had something to do with the installation of the head gasket so they checked it out for free. They found that the oil valve switch was busted which is why there was oil leaking. They told me to bring it in and since I work close, said I could drop it off at 7am and they would drive me to work and then come get me when it was ready! You can't ask for that kind of service anywhere else. Jerry knows how to treat his customers. Plus while I was there, one of the other guys took me back and showed me the car while it was on the lift and explained to me what was going on. They told me I could use an a new oil pan, but I could wait, and I could drive the car safely without replacing it.
    They replaced the oil valve switch for $100 and got my car back. Unfortunately I still saw coolant leaking, at random intermittent times. I called them and they told me to bring it back in. They discovered that it had something to do with the seating of the new water pump so they fixed it for free. You can't beat that.
    I've gone to Jerry for my car, my wife's car, and our minivan, for a few years now, and every time I go, I always get the work done quickly and without breaking my wallet. Jerry is a straight guy who isn't going to sell you something you don't need and will work with you when you do need something. He will tell you what can wait and what can't.
    If you want a mechanic and a shop that will treat you and your car right, go to Jerry and his team at Ingleside. You cannot find better service and people elsewhere!

    The guys were very responsive, professional, and did quality work.  Dave and his assistant were so nice and funny...it was a pleasure talking with them.  They did a spectacular job.  I was thoroughly impressed and would do business again with them any time.

    I asked them questions about it, and took it out for a test drive. It was showing something about the air bags, and they said it was because it was sitting over winter time. I asked them about the warranty because it was a 2014, and it had 16,000 miles on it, so it was a brand new vehicle. They said it had a factory warranty, and they don't cover any warranties there. As it turns out, it had no factory warranty, because it had been wrecked. Almost everything in the front had been replaced with non GM parts. They bought it from a place that only sells wrecks, but they don't report it. It was owned by Enterprise, and it was wrecked when it was owned by Enterprise, and they sold it to the auction house, and never reported it, the auction house sold it to them and never reported it, and they didn't' report it. They are dirty dealers. They have two locations, one is in Burbank, and one is in Chicago. They lied, lied, lied, and even when they were caught, they lied. Before she was going to drive the vehicle back to Alabama, she took it to GM to get an oil change, and as soon as he opened the hood, he said that the car had been wrecked. The guy from the body shop came to check and said that the frame was bent. The price was reasonable, it wasn't bad.

    Gages Lake Auto identified a problem with my transmission, which was due for scheduled maintenance. They showed me the problem personally and explained it. They did not apply high-pressure sales tactics. I waited about a month and then asked them to perform the service. They were able to schedule me within a couple days. The job cost less than their initial estimate, and the loaner vehicle made them very convenient. They seem very trustworthy and focused on customers.

    For many years now, the folks at Gages Lake Auto have been our go to mechanics for all things motorized including our class A motorhome. They are more than fair in pricing. They regularly go above and beyond to make sure everything is fixed to our satisfaction. Their loaner fleet allows us to get our vehicles serviced but not spend an entire day waiting around. Their email reminders come in very handy as we all get busy and as long as the car is running fine, we tend to forget about taking care of it. The staff is awesome, very down to earth and knowledgeable. I can't imagine taking our cars/RV anywhere else.

    they were put on wrong(upside down).told owner he got very loud,rude when told they (stabilizers) were wrong. they did fix the problem,but after a lot of convincing, bad attitude. never use them again.
