    Axberg Htg Co Inc
They charged me $917 for replacing the inducer motor. I had to call three times for a break down of cost of parts and labor. They said the cost for the motor was $725, and labor was $192. They also charge a $80 fee for coming out. This fee is waved if they do the work. However, the waver was probably added to the cost of the motor. I checked on line for the cost of the motor. It was less than a $100. That is the most I have paid for any kind of service like that. They are very crooked. I will never use them again. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review about a company.

The owner Mike was on time for the appointment. He and his helper were friendly and knowledgeable. The did a thorough check, cleaned, stabilized the filter assembly, and several other adjustments to improve performance. Home is several degrees cooler. Very happy.

Solution proposed was to redo the ducting because it was the wrong style for a high efficiency furnace. He also stated that the furnace was wired incorrectly... Not the most efficient settings... He seemed quite forward thinking. I just didn't want to spend the money estimated to fix this problem.

We knew that it was time to check our furnace this year, so using Angie's List we discovered a furnace check coupon through Angie's. In reading the reviews we signed up to have our furnace checked by him. Mike was on time and explained what the check would be. He replaced our April air water pad ,also. The experience with him was great and the furnace is running top notch after his visit.

Joe came quickly with one of his technicians and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor and also checked the freon gas levels at my request. Some gas was needed also. He charged a very reasonable price too!

They have a Black diamond club that you pay per month. The pay is what you would automatically have for the furnace check and A/C check. They respond faster if you have a problem. They come but there still was a charge maybe a $100. It seems like when we first used them, they were the same as others. They were here within the time they say they will. There was just one person who came out. He was professional and I was not concerned about anything.

Ive been using them for 2 year I believe. They service check on our system, they cleaned out something that had never been cleaned out before, a place that collects water. They pointed out the importance of treating that with vinegar once a month so it doesnt developed algae.

We had 5 service visits by 3 different techs to check our A/C over 5 weeks.  They replaced 2 expensive parts ($800+) and want to install even more ($$$) parts. The techs each pronounced the system fixed after a visit without really checking performance and dissed one another's expertise.  The system is still not working any better than at the beginning.  The first tech said he told us about the overall system status on his first visit, but this was definitely not the case.  We have repeatedly had to call the office to get them to call us back on ordered parts and service calls.  We are definitely going somewhere else.

    Pearson Plumbing & Heating
Pearson installed our first air conditioning system more than 10 years ago. The equipment is in the attic since we have hot water heat. The unit ran for only a week or so before the end of the cooling season. When we started it up the next summer soon after there was water dripping from the ceiling of the room below the equipment. Pearson came and discovered a leak (improperly installed hose) and the ceiling appeared to dry up with no problem. However a few months later, that plaster ceiling CAME DOWN...yes, fell down with a horrible noise and a terrible mess. And Pearson would NOT pay to fix the ceiling, although clearly the problem came from the leak resulting from their installation error. So we paid to fix the ceiling. In 2015, Pearson installed a new air conditioning system, also in the attic. (since we had been satisfied with the equipment, just not the service). AGAIN, within a few months, there was a leak..poorly installed equipment. They got it fixed before anything bad happened. But several months the ceiling of the room below developed a big crack and evidence that it was falling. Pearson came to inspect the situation and agreed that the equipment had been leaking and they found a problem with a hose not installed correctly. Even after their worked confirmed that their equipment had been poorly installed and had leaked water in our attic, Pearson would only pay 1/2 of the cost of fixing the ceiling. Now it doesn't matter that their air conditioning equipment, when properly installed, does work well. The fact that we have had repeated problems with leaks, and their reluctance to stand behind their work means that we will never use them again.

He was able to identify the problem and fix the leak. I thought he did a nice job but his price for the service seemed a little high. Especially when I asked how much it would cost to do a duct cleaning and he said $750.00. I thought it should be half of that cost from personal experience in the past so that made me wonder about the pricing. Other than that I was very pleased with the service.
