Green Acres Lawncare & Landscaping Inc
I do appreciate how quickly and politely they responded to my inquiry, but was informed that they stopped offering this service a year ago. They have not updated Angie's List or their website, wasting the time of homeowners like me looking for this type of work. I can only assume they leave it up to garner landscaping leads. Was especially disappointed that they could not offer the name of an alternative service provider.

    Dry Otter Basement Waterproofing LLC
Dry Otter did an initial walk through, Followed-up with another walk through, called to verify the evening before, were on-time, left when they said they would, and came when they said they would. The jack hammering was not as loud as I thought and their new style hammer sucks up all dust and the dust that was left, was very minimal if even at all existent. They taped all of our belongings, laid down canvas to protect stairwell and driveway. All in all -- very professional. I would hire this company to do this work again. There was a piece of trim in the basement that was broken, but I am not too worried about that. Heck they even cut existing paneling in our rec-room and there was no saw dust, to get to to the actual foundation of the home.

    TNT Sewer N Drain Service
after being away for 2 months, I returned home to find my so-called house/petsitter had let my place become a pit.   among multiple other problems, the main sewer drain had backed up in the basement due to being almost completely clogged up with tree roots.    I had called Rob @ TNT for this recurring situation before & been very happy with the both the service & cost.   I called him, and he came out the very same day, after hours - when I got off work - and took care of the drain..
DO NOT EVER CALL ANYONE ELSE!
Rob cares about his customers - he went above & beyond to help me out, and did not even charge extra for same-day or after-hours service!

    JOHNSON DESIGN LANDSCAPING
We are very happy with him. We saw him on Angie's List and that is why we called him. He was very nice and very patient. In fact he called today and checked up to see if everything was fine with us and if we were happy. He asked if there were any problems. He's great. His work was fantastic. I think his price was good. He was just very nice and made me feel very comfortable. He wasn't pushy or anything but just really nice.

    Eldridge Roofing
I have a mansard roof house i.e. Flat on top with steep slope sides. The top had been  EPDM (rubber) and the mansard was composed of cedar shakes.  I spent seven months researching roofers, materials, and options.  NO LUCK! Then, I placed a free  ad in the Register Star  to sell a glass skylight I didn't need. Arvel Eldridge came, bought it at a fair price, and mentioned that he is a roofer.  I had never been aware of Eldridge Roofing! I told him about my need.  What a relief.  His bid was about $10,000 below any competitors.  And his people dealt with the complex issues I presented with a superior level of expertise.  They explained things clearly. They offered materials I hadn't been aware of,  ".060 white TPO flat roof system"  may be superior to those I had been exploring. They replaced rotted wood deck, under the membrane, joists and soffits at a reasonable price. The roof now has drains in the middle of two sections minimizing runoff. The third section slopes to the north end of garage, an unheated area with no basement to flood.  The flat portion consists of white single ply membrane that is heat bonded. No seams to come undone!  Under the heated area, the polyisocyanurate insulation is tapered toward the drains in the center, both insulating the house and preventing most (not all)  ponding of water, and  the garage portion is tapered to the north edge.  I asked for our four skylights to be replaced, and they built up the curbs to prevent leakage. They suggested we get Velux ones.  When installing, they noticed that all four skylights were scratched/scuffed during shipment, and they sent them back. After two more time consuming shipments, and following Eldridge's suggestion, we asked Velux to just give us the skylights to get us out of their hair, and they did- saving us a bundle.  For that we can live with scuffed skylights, and our feedback to Velux will help them to change how they ship skylights in the future.   Eldridge suggested a product for our mansard portion - DaVinci shakes  - another product I hadn't seen when looking for a replacement for the cedar shakes, which had deteriorated badly.  The DaVinci shakes are  beautiful.  Other alternatives to cedar had looked awful. Only Enviro-Shakes were ok, and the DaVinci are better looking and reasonably priced. The double layer
skylights are clear but wavy when you look through them.  Eldridge kept the site clean, using a massive dumpster.  I liked their attention to detail.
