    I thought that was too high and out of order. I felt like it was a way for them to get their foot in the door. I didn't feel comfortable and the professionalism wasn't there. it was almost a $1000 for a furnace tune-up that was $39. If I took out a contract I would get a better price, It would have been about 20 percent cheaper. I don't know if there was a fee to join the Life Club. I think it was coming in at a special price and then take advantage of the opportunity to do their service. It was a turn off as a customer. They would more than make up the cost for the bonus offer that they put out there. By making estimates on repairs that are needed, they took away from their professionalism that would be there. I was trusting somebody to do work for me, come into my home, and then take advantage. They told me that I needed this, needed that, and the other. They made a big deal of getting their foot in the door with the bonus offer.

    Angie's List said that it wasn't part of the deal, but I confirmed with Lifeline that it was part of the Big Deal. He did call the office to confirm that it was part of the deal. There was a little miscommunication between the office and the tech that came out. It was a little bit up setting. He ultimately checked the water heater. He found some additional work that needed to be done which, it wasn't included and I didn't do it. It was on the expensive side. He did point out somethings to me. The cost from Angie's List was very reasonable for the work that was being done. He wanted to do some additional work for quite a bite of money, I thought it was a little bit out order, so I didn't do the additional work. He did give me an estimate on the additional work. He said that the lines needed work, and it was quite expensive to do. The tech wasn't the most sociable guy, most techs explains what is going on. He was OK, it wasn't the most comfortable experience with the tech. They need to give the techs a little bit of coaching on how to talk to the customers. He knew his work. The techs need to be more hospitable when in the home. When the time comes, if there are other companies available, I don't know if I would use this particular company again.

    Jiminy Chimney was more than accommodating.  After buying a house without full chimney inspections, and then finding out both the gas chimney and fireplace chimney were a mess, these guys helped me sort out all the different chimney sweep opinions and estimates I got.  Too many of these chimney sweep companies try to take you for a ride, and they know you won't get up in the chimney to see what's really going on, nor would I even know the difference.  This was an honest company that didn't try to oversell me and understood I could only do what needed to be done.  I really felt I could trust them, and true to form, their estimates were honest - and didn't include all the extra stuff that wasn't necessary that two other companies gave me.  Hence, we went with Jiminy.  The owner even came out himself to inspect out gas chimney to make absolutely sure a new liner was needed, and then he beat the price of a competitive quote.  
    The guys that did the work were on time, courteous, and professional.  Although there's really no way for me to check the work, as I'm not a professional chimney sweep, I assume the work was done well as my furnace and hot water heater have been running and venting, and there have been no carbon monoxide detectors going off.  
    Overall, a great experience.  I would use them again.

    It went very well.  I had some work/child care issues preventing me from getting home within their usual four-hour window.  The Ravinia team was very flexible with my schedule and narrowed the window down to two hours.
    The technician explained the costs and work to be completed.

    Joe came on time for the preparation including the draining of the old A.O. Smith water heater.  He was joined by the owner, Walter.  Walter brought a new  Bradford White 50 gal gas water heater.  The replacement took about two hours or less.  They were able to answer some questions about the quality and reliability of the newly installed water heater and its installation.  I received a one year written warranty on the labor and a six year warranty on the water heater itself.  My prior water heater lasted over 15 years so I asked how water heaters had changed over the years.   The installation was uneventful.  After they left, there was some leakage in one of the pipes that had apparently been jostled by the water heater installation.  Joe came quickly and fully resolved the leakage.  
    I called on a Wednesday and scheduled the installation for Friday.  Walter was professional and precise in the purchase and installation.  I would use Cascade not only for water heaters but for any plumbing need in the future.

    I purchased and A.L. deal for an inspection of our water heater and plumbing. Eric arrived at my new home between the time window that was promised. The deal was prepaid, however, he still took the time to be very professional and thorough with his explanations of what he was doing as well as answered all my questions and concerns. I was very pleased that he didn't rush through the job. He wore covers over his shoes make sure to keep my floors clean. He also provided estimates for all the concerns he had as well as a replacement cartridge for my bathtub faucet set. I will be hiring him for other repairs my husband and I had in mind.

    Excellent.  The installation went smooth.  They also removed the old broken heater from the basement without dripping any water on the basement carpet.
    A few days later there was a small issue with the heater and they came back out to take care of it within a few hours at no charge.

    I called for what I thought was a service call on July 5.  The plumber came out and gave us an estimate.  It did not seem like he was ready to do the work.  He then told us that there was a $98 fee for him to come out.  He was not sure if that would be credited towards work done but said he thought it  would be.  The estimate was 1100-1300 with it taking 6-9 hours.  We called to schedule the work on July 7 and they came out on the the 8th to do the work.  They were great with communication, got here when they said they would and called to let me know when they would be there.  There were two of them and they got right to work. They said it was a faster job than they thought it would be and it should not take them that long.  When they were almost done my husband asked if they could add some PVC so that the drain from the AC would not be going through the middle of the room.  They did have the PVC so they did that. We had no idea that they would charge $175 for this, but we didn't ask how much that would be.  They finished the entire job in less than 4 hours.  I was thinking great, it should be at the low end of the estimate.  He wrote up the bill and it was $1300.  When I asked why it was at the high end he just said because there were two of them.  I then asked about crediting the $98 we already paid.  He said they offer free estimates and that the first plumber should not have charged us.  He did take it off the bill though.  
    The work seemed fine.  They made it so we can easily get to the water to turn it off and the same with the gas.  For some reason they turned down the temperature on the water heater and left it down without telling us.  That was just annoying when the shower would not get hot the next day.

    The plumber showed up at 9AM Friday, 5/30 to replace pipes off of my hot-water heater and to replace an outdoor faucet.  After arriving, he quickly discovered that some the pipe to be replaced was attached improperly to the house pipe.  This would require him to cut out the pipe to be replaced and thread the house pipe.  As he was not informed of this by the original plumber who reviewed the project in early May, he did not have the correct tools and hardware to complete this task.  He explained what the issue was to me and explained that they would need to come back and that someone would call to set up an other appointment.  Also, no trip fee would be charged for the future work.  He did install the outdoor faucet and replaced some out-of-date piping inside where the faucet connected.  Price: $280
    I did not hear from the company, so I called on Wednesday, 6/3 to set up the appointment. 
    Two plumbers came to replace the pipes a little after 10AM on Tuesday, 6/10.  They worked very quickly, explained what they did, and showed me what they took out.  Also, I mentioned that the aforementioned outdoor faucet was dripping a bit when in use.  They were more than happy to take care of it and fixed the issue under 90 seconds.  Price: $449
