He is worth using. He has been fabulous. Andrew is the owner. Its extremely reasonable. He's been out here more than anyone. He's bought two or three roofers, two or three different window people. He just wants to get the best price and the best quality. He's wonderful. He is friendly. His willingness to help stands out. He's extremely accommodating and almost apologetically, he has to come over. he is very considerate and very helpful. He is prompt. He's wonderful and very professional. All the things that you want in a contractor. he's very honest.

    Greenview
Greenview built my home in Deerfield and it was a terrific experience.  They gave us a designer for cabinets and selections and were able to stay within our budget on most items.  When we upgraded, we were given alternative choices and very good prices. Overall, the value of the home was appraised some 15% higher than contract due to how they priced it, so I have instant equity.
They were able to source some of the built-ins through their carpenters and custom cabinet makers.
I had a great relationship with Alex, the project manager, and some of their trades.
The quality is EXCELLENT and the warranty work was done with a smile.  I actually enjoy calling these guys when I need something done.
They also remodeled my parents? home and they are very happy.
I would highly recommend this company to ANYONE building on the North Shore!

    Greenview
Greenview is a local builder who does whole home builds as well as remodels.  We were considering an addition as well as looking to remodel 2 full baths and a powder room.  We received a flyer advertising an open house, so we went to talk with them.  While in the showroom we saw a lovely vanity for sale with a stone top and basin.  It was an excellent price and from what we could gather was available for sale as it had not worked out in the original location, though why was unclear (there were multiple pieces for sale in the showroom).  We agreed to purchase it for our powder room and deferred delivery until after they had provided an estimate for the addition and renovations.
The estimates for the work were far higher than we were interested in, so we decided against using them for the work and arranged to have them deliver the vanity, which our handyman would install.  I was told it was being sold "as is" before I paid, so I said that I could see nothing wrong with it and asked if there was anything I should be aware of before finalizing the purchase.  I was told there was not.  I therefore agreed to take delivery and they promptly delivered it.
Our contractor arrived and before he started work, pointed out that there was a hairline crack through the middle of the stone top.  When he went to move the vanity into place the top split in two along the crack.  Since it was broken, he removed it and the basin, at which time he discovered that the bottom of the basin had been broken and cement applied to try to cover the break.  He informed us that it would not be usable as it would likely leak.  We would therefore have to purchase both a new stone top and a new basin.
I contacted Greenview to let them know, and they told me that they had no responsibility since the item was sold "as is" and they would not cover any of it.  I pointed out that I had asked and been assured that there was nothing wrong with the unit, which was clearly incorrect.  After several exchanges, they agreed to take the vanity back but only on the basis that nothing had been modified.  However, the cabinet had been completely sealed and there was no place to run pipes for water, so we had cut a hole in the back to run the water pipes, which I informed them.  I suggested as a result that I keep the cabinet and they either provide a replacement top and basin, or that they refund only half of the price.  I sent them a photo of the basin showing the break and cement that was used to try to cover it.  They refused to do either.
I tried repeatedly after that to reach agreement with them, but to no avail.  I had to purchase a new stone top and basin separately at a considerably higher expense.  Had I known of the defects initially, I could have purchased a unit elsewhere and saved money, or continued with the purchase knowing that I would need to replace the top and basin.
The fact that a builder would sell something that was clearly defective and not disclose it or stand behind it troubles me. I am very glad I did not use them for anything more extensive.  They can point to the sales ticket that says the item was "as is" and avoid responsibility, but since we explicitly discussed condition before I purchased it, and these defects were beyond cosmetic, affecting the essential purpose of  the vanity, this strikes me as a legalistic and convenient interpretation of their responsibility.
While this was a small item, I would not be able to recommend them because I could not trust that they would use an agreed-upon quality of materials, do quality work, or stand behind their work - qualities that seem critical in hiring a builder.

Preferred Home Improvement & Builders Inc
Preferred Home Improvement finished my basement. They designed the plans and worked with us to meet our specifications and particular needs. They did the drywall, plumbing, electric, painting, carpeting, lights....everything. The workers were courteous and did not leave a mess in my house. They were respectful of our budget. They followed up after the job was completed to check on the details. The basement is fantastic and my family loves it. They were terrific and I will definitely use them for my next home project. I recommend them highly.

    Turley Architects
Chris's vision and skill was instrumental in transforming our property from a tired and outdated house into a modern and highly functunal space.

I am so happy with his service that if my clients are thinking about a kitchen remodel, a rehab, or new construction I now insist that they speak to Chris before making any decisions. Chris helps clients envision new ideas and environments and helps them get these spaces built in ways other architects don't even understand. Chris is the only architect I have ever met who is passionate about buildings AND the people who will live in them.
