  • Overall I like Dr. Goldberg but I think she is more involved in the cosmetic aspects of dermatology. I picked her because she was affiliated with my hospital and had training at Harvard.  My original appointment was 4:40 pm but the receptionist call me and asked me if I wanted to come at 4:20 since they had this earlier opening.  I was glad to accept the offer to try to avoid some of the rush hour traffic. I arrived on time but the receptionist handed me papers to fill out even though I had filled out extensive paperwork prior and had given them to her.  This paperwork was all about what kind of makeup I wore and my facial cleansing routine.  I told her I wasn't in for that and she told me is is a requirement for all patients.  I didn't think this was appropriate since I was seeing the doctor to check if I had a cancerous growth.  I also wasn't called into the examining room till 4:50 for my 4:20 appointment!  I didn't have to put on a gown.  She just looked at the mole and then my back quickly and said everything was ok and asked if I had any questions.  There was also a nurse in training who was in the room all the time and she seemed a little weird, totally dressed in black, not saying anything, just standing and staring at me.  Everyone till now seemed very friendly, but when I left the exam room no one told me where to go or what to do.  I asked a nurse where I needed to pay and she pointed me to another woman.  This person was very abrupt and I even had to tell her how much I needed to pay for my copay.  It seemed as if they were in a hurry.

  • The office is very nice and the staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Singh-Behl was very kind and immediately knew it was Granuloma Annulare. She sent me home with a script to use, telling her to call them if it didn't work. GA can be tough to treat so it might take something else to treat it and if that didn't work she suggested kenalog injections, something I was trying to avoid because I didn't have insurance at the time. The first tube of cream didn't work but the second one she recommended did work.
I have no idea why the popular practice in Buffalo Grove couldn't figure out what I had but since they were so inept with something as benign as GA, I wouldn't trust them with something that could be more serious, so while I live in Buffalo Grove, I will gladly drive to Deerfield to be treated by Dr. Singh-Behl. I highly recommend her!

  • not so great. I had a bump over my eye that had been growing slightly over 6 months. I was referred to the doctor by a friend. During my appt, the doctor spent about 60 seconds with me and referred me to another specialist to surgically remove the bump ("cyst") since it was so close to my eye. (she did remind me to come back for an annual skin check-up). Another friend of mine who is a nurse squeezed the bump -- as did I -- when inspecting the bump that same day. On a budget, I took my time and didn't make the second appt to see the surgeon. About 5 weeks after the initial appt, I noticed the bump had reduced in size and seemed like it was going away. I was able to squeeze the "cyst", dried skin was eliminated (kind of like a pimple) and the whole thing was gone within another 48 hours. I'd heard great things about this practice and one of the doctors in particular. I'm not sure if she could have / should have done what my nurse-friend did but it seemed while it was a very efficient appt (60 seconds - maybe too efficient?), I would have spent a lot more money to see the specialist she referred me to when it doesn't seem like that was necessary.

  • Dr. Lewitt was very thorough and looked at everything under the microscope and the medication he prescribed worked perfectly. Have recommended him to others since then.

  • I have been seeing them for about a year or two. I think they are very good but they are pretty high priced. They are very thorough.

  • They seem to be very professional and know what they are doing. They are good all the way around. I would definitely use them again in the future if needed.
