    Aspen Dental
Made appointment online with PC at home. Was offered times/days for my convienence. So far so good. Had a coupon from the paper that said your initial exam is usually $160.00 but with the coupon you can have it for $19.00. Before I could cut out the coupon, Aspen Dental sent me another coupon on line that stated my exam would be free. Made a copy and took it with me. The office mang. (a little rude) informed us the free exam coupon was no good in Illinois. I argued that the Aspen Clinic and I are both located in Illinois, and this where I received the coupon. He refused it. If you explore this site online you will find an example page of the different dentures they offer and the prices also. Beaware the prices that you see on this page are not for a set of dentures, they are for one denture ( meaning an upper or lower ) multiply it be two for you your total. This part can be deceiving if not watched . My wife wanted to go ahead and use them regardless of this so we did. The doctor ( the one for the dentures) has a complete lack of bedside manners and I think she believes she's doing you a favor by just being there. However her work was good. The dental techs who you deal with most of the time you are there were great, very informing and personal. My wife has had to go back for one adjustment already and everything went great. One good thing to be noted is that midway through the process of getting the dentures (which took about four to five weeks) was that the office mang. was let go and a new one hired. The new mang. is great.

    Aspen Dental
I contacted Aspen Dental for tooth pain. They were able to give me an appointment that same morning. The nurse took about 20 x-rays of all my mouth, and 2 didn't turn out, plus she was trying to get a good x-ray of the potentially offending tooth.
After a very short exam the dentist at Aspen Dental told me that I needed my wisdom tooth extracting and three fillings. I was booked in for a cleaning to be done before any other work was to be done.... not sure how a cleaning would help my tooth pain, but what do I know??
I had to specifically ask for another appointment to actually tackle the two fillings - which might have been causing the pain. Yet I had gone there in the first place because of tooth pain and that was my priority to get fixed.
I was not shown my x-rays at any point during the hour and a half appointment and no discussion was made about the wisdom tooth, except that it needed removing and I needed a filling in another tooth on that row and two others elsewhere in my mouth.
The next day (Saturday) I went to Associates in Dentistry on Allen Road - to try to sort out the tooth ache that I still had.
Here they took 1 x-ray and guess what ? - my wisdom tooth (which Aspen Dental said I needed removing) is fine - does not need removing.
The only problem is that the tooth had moved because there was a space in front of it (where I'd had a tooth removed a few months ago) and my bite had changed, the bone had moved and nerves had become sensitive.
The dentist at Associates in Dentristy smoothed/filed (gently) the wisdom tooth, and checked my bite; smoothed and checked my bite,..about 4 times - until the pain was gone. The appointment took 35 minutes and my pain was gone. I was still sore, as they said I would be for maybe a week, until my bone and nerves settled down again, but the actual pain had gone.
I did not need my wisdom tooth removing and all the complications that can come with that. I cannot believe what Aspen Dental had said and will not return there again.
