Raul and his team were great! Raul came out and walked to job with me, provided a competitive estimate. When they started the work, his team worked efficiently. Primed and Painted the brick and aluminum siding, trim work and ledges. Very pleased with the service and the end result!

    CertaPro Painters of Des Plaines
One of the owners, Justin, came out to give the quote. He indicated power washing would be necessary before stain couldve applied as stain would not adhere well to a dirty surface. Power washing would be done one day and time would be needed for wood to dry so stain would be applied another day. However, the 1st day they came to work they immediately began staining. When the project manager Jim arrived later that afternoon, I asked him about why they didnt power wash. He said they probably did but it was so hot out that it dried fast. I said the men never had a power washer going. He then asked one of the painters if they power washed and the painter said they did not because it was not needed. I called Justin to see if he would adjust the bill to account for no power washing. He said he would. The painters finished the job in the afternoon and told my father there would be no adjustment because the men did power wash and their equipment is extremely quiet so he just didnt notice. The next day I inspected the job and noticed several areas where the men missed applying stain and needed to do touch-ups, and one of the cedar planks had been knocked loose and needed to be nailed down. Additionally, there were over 10 places where the painters had gotten the dark colored stain on the very light colored bricks. I needed these cleaned off as well. Due to their schedule we had to wait to have these issues addressed. On the afternoon they were supposed to do the work they never showed up. My father sat at the living room window all afternoon waiting for them. Jim called me to say the painters had knocked on the door but no one answered so they went home. I informed him that they never arrived at my fathers house. They did come the next day and completed the touch-ups to my satisfaction. They did not, however, clean the stains off of the bricks though they did attempt to remove some of them, as evidenced by the long streams of lighter colored stain marks going down the side of the house. I dont know whether these stains can be removed at this point. Clearly, these painters dont have the capability. Jim and Justin returned to look at the stains and marked some but not all of the stains with tape. The men returned to remove the stains that were marked. I called Jim to notify him that several of the stains remained including the new stains that were created when their cleaning fluid dripped down the side of the building. Jim indicated that the men only worked on their stains which he had marked with tape and did not address any stains that were lighter in color. I reminded him the lighter colored stains were the ones they tried unsuccessfully to remove the last time they were there. Jim never made any other attempt to resolve the situation.

Crescent Ave Plastering & Painting Inc
Marty's crew at Crescent Plaster & Paint did a fantastic job painting all the trim on my home. Also, they cut out some rotted wood in my window frames and repaired them to increase their useful life. I thought I would need to replace the windows because they were starting to rot, but he was able to salvage them. He did a good job matching the existing color, too. He uses a high quality, outdoor Benjamin Moore paint. When I showed Marty my front door which was painted dark black, he pointed out that under the paint is natural wood. He sanded a bit of the door to remove the paint and underneath was a beautiful, thick-grained oak door. Instead of painting it black, Crescent was able to sand the entire door and then use a stain to really make it pop. At night, when the outside lights are on, you can my front door from the street and it looks really luxurious. I really appreciated his creativity and ability to notice that the door was wood. If it weren't for him, I would have had the door just painted black again. Because it was such a large project and it is getting late in the season, his guys worked over the weekend in November because we had some 65 degree days.

It could not have gone better.
Tim was not satisfied with how the kitchen cabinets looked with the promised two coats of paint, so he ended up putting at least three coats on (for the same price.) They are beautiful.

They encouraged me to try paint swatches on the walls and then changed the colors patiently when I didn't like the swatches, and repainted, and then repainted again a section of soffit that I changed by mind about.

They tried to match the existing ceiling paint color, and when they couldn't, insisted on painting those areas for a very reasonable price.

In addition to being easy to deal with, very responsive, they are careful and always clean up after themselves. Frankly, I wouldn't call anyone else, but I don't want to say this because they will get too busy and not have time for me.  LOL
We have used Dynamic Colors before and have been more than satisfied with their work. They did such a nice job on the walls, cabinets and ceilings, that we are now awaiting an estimate to paint door and window frames.
    Great job ? Straight A

    Fortune Restoration
It was a great experience! The crew arrived on time early in the morning and worked until dark for three days. The owner came by several times to make sure that work was proceeding as planned. The supervisor was knowledgable and professional. The work itself is high quality - all the grout, paint, caulk and stain were perfectly matched and carefully applied. The house looks like new. The crew also cleaned up after themselves each day and made every effort to minimize the disruption. The owner, supervisor and crew made it very clear that customer satisfaction is a priority, and they clearly take great pride in their work. They put extra effort into refinishing the front door (without any prompting by me) and trim because they weren't satisfied with their first effort. What a refreshing change from so many other home service providers...

.The average homeowner may look at the price and think that it is expensive, however, I believe one gets what one pays for.  The craftsmen at Fortune Restoration are some of the best in their field and are totally worth the money.
The stairs they replaced were installed by a house painter less than 6 years ago.  The stringers were totally rotting and the cladding on the posts was rotting.
I asked that the stringers and treads be treated lumber, and the risers and cladding on the posts are cedar.
    Really happy with the job.

Great job!  The crew showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of each day.  Polite service and meticulous prep work on a very hard project--from wrought iron to over two hundred small window panes on older French doors.  The prep work was the key and it looks beautiful.  Our 120 year home looks new again!

    American Decorators
First guy was not careful, did not have clean tarps, did  not change shoes, left scrapes, some bubbles, gouges, plaster residue on fireplace , sat in truck 45 minutes, did not have shop vacuum .  After review was sent, owner sent Joe to finish repair.  He took off his street shoes, had clean tarps, shop vacuum, did a neat tidy professional job.   We are very pleased with the job.
