We were in a special situation and Angelo was with us from the moment I placed a call to the company, until we were ready to move forward. His approach was no nonsense, no pressure, and that is because they want to do place you within the right product categories and at the right budget. We started with just new James Hardie siding but decided to add a new front door and a new rear patio french door. Could not be happier with the design and color choices. ADAL BuildersWe are very happy with the work that DAL Builders did on our project. Tim is so easy to work with. He is very communicative which was super helpful (especially during a pandemic!). We have worked with contractors in the past who I have struggled to get to return calls but Tim was always on top of our project. Even with all the delays due to COVID - he would periodically reach out to us unprompted and let us know the status of our items. He is also extremely budget conscious. Tim let us know up front the areas of the project that were "unknown" budget wise (for example he did not know how bad the rot was going to be around our door frame) but was able to give us a realistic estimate of what it might cost best and worst case scenario. In projects past with other contractors - in the end we were anywhere from 15-20% over budget. With Tim I believe we were less than 5% over budget and that overage was really just due to the "unknowns". We have never had a renovation come this close to budget (and we gutted our house so we have lots of experience with contractors and budgets). We are happy with the way the work looks and Tim was quick to resolve any issues we had. His crew is courteous, thorough, and always show up when they are supposed to. I don't think there was one time where I had to call Tim and tell him no one was here when they were supposed to be. Overall - we are really happy with the work that was done and the management of the whole project. We would definitely use DAL Builders again!- M S.

ABudget Right HandymanJesse was a true professional. Right from the get-go I could tell he truly knew to approach the project. I had hired another handy man outfit the week before and they totally messed it up. Jesse worked like an experienced tradesman and fixed all the exterior door and frame issues leaving to look as good as brand new construction! It can't be understated that when you get someone who really knows what they are doing, it's will make all the difference. I'd trust Jesse and Budget Right Handyman with any carpentry project around the house. Top notch service!- mike w.

ANext Door & WindowThe entire process was great and pretty seamless. Next Door and Window completed the job as promised, the work was great and the products they sold us were of high quality. The price for the entire job was higher than we anticipated but we are happy with the end result. The entire installation process was done in one day and the entire area was cleaned up. Next Door & Window kept me apprised of the progress of my order for the 2 ProVia doors and with the installation date. Customer Service is top notch and very upbeat and friendly. Every employee would go above and beyond, to make a customer happy and satisfied with their purchase. AThermalcraft and their team of installers did an excellent job on a big project on our house. We had Vinyl Siding Installed, Aluminum Soffit/Facia Installed, New Gutters and Storm Doors installed. Their workmanship was excellent and everything looks great. The job took about 2 and half weeks to complete and we would definitely hire again.

FContacted Brighton for a quote as they seem to be one of the few places in Chicago that does custom awning / canopy work for residential buildings. They were quick to get back to us and one of their estimators came out a couple of days later while he was in the area for a different customer. Their estimator was on time and very courteous, but didn't ask a lot of questions. In talking with him, he indicated they typically worked with wood and brick, and I responded that we specifically wanted something made from metal and glass. Estimator left after about 15 mins. And that's basically the last I heard from them. I didn't hear anything from them for 10 days, so dropped an email asking for an update, was told the estimator was working on something and would get back to me. Didn't hear anything for another 10 days, so sent another follow up email. To help with the estimating, I took the time to sketch up a possible solution and sent it along with the follow up email. Did get a reply back from the estimator stating there was a delay in the estimate because their carpentry lead had contracted Covid. I expressed my sympathies over the situation, but reminded them we wanted to use metal and glass only. It's been another 20 days and still haven't heard anything back, so giving up on them. TL/DR: Quick to come out for the estimate, zero follow up, they aren't comfortable working with metal and glass

DI just had an $8,000 dollar bay window and two $1,000 dollar storm doors installed and I have been very unhappy with my installation. The salesman while great to work with is where my good experience with these folks ends. In fairness the gentleman who installed my storm doors did a pretty good job, but my issue is with the Bay window. Sloppy finish work on something that expensive is not acceptable. I wish now I had just went to Home Depot. I did have a gentleman stop by my place the day of the install to collect the rest of the payment and discuss my issues with the install and he did agree it wasn't the best work they could have done. He advised us that they would have a service tech come out generally within a week and address our concerns. He advised us that he was going to collect the rest of the payment minus 600 dollars until the work was fixed/finished. We did notice that they charged us the entire amount, not the amount they agreed to charge us until our concerns had been addressed and despite the photos being passed along and following up with an additional picture being sent to their service email address (that they requested) we have not seen or heard from them since the day after the windows had been put in. Based on the installation alone I would not recommend this company. Its a shame as they are a local family owned business. We do not intend to ask them to fix their work any further, we can see now that they have collected their money, went back on their word, and essentially quit giving a ****. We will just pay a second company to come out and clean up their sloppy install and move on. 8k on a single window not well spent.

AYou're reading this review because, just like me, you want to secure the best bang for your buck with your home improvement need. In my case, it entailed replacing all of our windows (23) with OKNA 800dx throughout. Allen Meister, owner, and his son Shane just wrapped up the project and honestly exceeded all expectations...BOOM!! Back story: Our journey for the best price/value window offering went into high gear after getting ridiculously high quotes on Pella, Andersen and Marvin windows. It was actually a Marvin dealer that turned our attention to high end vinyl windows through the Sunrise Restorations line they also sold. Impressed with the superior efficiency and warranties of vinyl windows vs. wood windows, we explored the "high end" vinyl market further. This lead to finding the OKNA line and the associated high praise by industry pro's and consumers for their product line. Through OKNA we found Meister Windows and so glad we did. We got an exceptional product in OKNA and outstanding craftsmanship by Meister Windows. They've earned every referral I hope to impart on them. So if you're looking for a high pressured sales pitch, overpriced and heavily marketed national brand windows or sub contractor installers who are driven by speed installation metrics these guys are not for you.
