    My wife and I visited Bill's Power Equipment on Saturday May 02, 2015 to purchase a new Toro mower. The mower was the Toro Model 20334 which was a top-rated mower according to Consumer Reports. We were interested in this mower because it had electric start and was self-propelled. However, we wanted to be sure that my wife could handle the mower. Mike assured us that my wife would have no problem with the Toro. While the mower starts pretty easily, it is in fact not easy to operate. In my opinion, the Personal-Pace feature is meant for a very flat and level lawn. We had mentioned to Mike that we had a slight hill and several trees/shrubs. The mower is difficult to keep at an even pace even when going over minor bumps and low spots. Instead, it is very jerky. We finished cutting the lawn and decided that we would try and return the mower.
    I called Mike 3 days later (since Bill's is closed on Sunday/Monday) and asked if we could return the mower. Mike asked how my wife was trying to use the mower to see if we were operating it correctly. I explained she was having difficulty turning and that the mower is very hard to pull backward if/when you need to backup to go around a tree or shrub. I mentioned that we really preferred to return the mower and wondered if he could work something out. He said he would call his distributor and get back to me.
    Another 2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard back so I decided to call again on May 19th. I asked for Mike and was put on hold briefly. Mike picked the line and asked me for my phone number. He said he hadn't heard back from the distributor and that he would let me know.
    I called again the following week and was put on hold for a long time. I gave up waiting and hung up.
    I called once again a week later and told the person that answered the phone who I was and that I wanted to return the mower. Once again I was put on hold for a long time. Eventually I gave up waiting and hung up.
    I called again today June 2nd (a month after we purchased the mower) and asked for Mike. Mike picked up a couple minutes later and I told him who I was and wondered if he had ever heard back from his distributor. He asked if I had called the previous week and I said yes. He said he was busy that day. I asked if the mower could be returned and he said they no longer had a "buyer satisfaction program" from the distributor. I asked Mike if he (the dealer) was willing to take the mower back and he said sorry but no.
    This is the same mower that Home Depot sells. Bill's sells for exactly the same price. I know Home Depot would take this mower back in a minute. We have only used the mower once and it looks as good as the day we first brought it home. I preferred to buy from an independent dealer and that's why we chose Bill's Power Equipment. We had purchased a Toro snow thrower from Bill's a couple of years prior and had a good experience.

    I have 2-1/2 year old Toro mower that was purchased from another dealer who recently went out of business. Arlington Power Equipment is just down the street from my former dealer so I took the mower there for service in March. They did a basic service (change oil, replace spark plug, replace air filter, sharpen blade) for $100. When they called to tell me the mower was ready, I asked if they would deliver it. I had a brand new vehicle and really did not want to put a dirty mower in it. I expected to be charged for delivery but they said "no charge."
    I used the mower for the first time on 4/27/15 (a Monday) and the power propelled feature stopped working after doing about 25% of my lawn. I called APE and told them  about the problem. I also asked them to check on my warranty status as I believed my Toro warranty was for 3 years. They said they would pick up the mower the next day (Tuesday) and would try to diagnose the problem and get back to my by Wednesday. They found that a piece of wood, which probably was left over from tree trimming earlier in the year, had gotten wedged behind the drive belt and caused the belt to slip off. They checked the belt, re-installed it, and tested the mower. It was returned to me on Thursday. There was no charge for the repair or for the pickup and delivery.
    Needless to say, I am very pleased with my experience with Arlington Power Equipment. It is very difficult to find people who do a good job of repairing and servicing mowers and snow blowers. I had used my previous dealer for about 15 years and they were excellent.

    I honestly cannot express enough the lack of professionalism with this company.  I brought in my mower for a crack gas tank.  After calling and finally able to pick up the mower 6+ weeks later, I questioned the receptionist on why she did not communicate with me or call me back.  I'm assuming the reception woman is the main owner's wife because the guy in the back immediately came around and started to get in my face about me questioning her.  I have never in my life been in a shouting match with an owner for a business in front of other customers before.  Stay away from this business.  They do not treat their customers very well.

    It was better that I could have imagined. ��He took a lawn mower that didn't run, came to my house, repaired it and left me a note with what he did. ��He could have made up things that were wrong (I wouldn't have known) but he was so honest and kind that I have referred several people to him. ��I will be using him again this spring!

    Excellent service by a very nice guy! Incredibly responsive! Called Dave in the morning, he was here within three hours, and spent about three hours in our garage working on the unit.     They came to the house with their truck and did an oil change and tune-up of my trusty Toro lawnmower.  Very convenient and quick.  Also cheaper than taking it to the local lawn equipment specialist.

    If that's all you need, then he is fine and convenient. I asked him to
    change the pump bulb on the lawnmower and he wasn't able to provide that
    service. I don't remember how much was charged or when the service was performed.

    Good communication throughout.  Accommodated my schedule to get the work done when I needed it.  Both machines were tuned up in his truck at my home, and working great several months later.  Would definitely use him again.
