    The North Fence
North Fence did a fantastic job repairing my fence. When Maglio came out to give me an estimate he looked at all the fencing to make sure there were no other areas that needed fixing while he was there. His fencing knowledge was excellent. They showed up when they said they would be here and did a great job. Definitely would call them again if I needed further fence repairs or new fence.

    Durabilt Fence Inc
Old fence removal went well. Though JULIE had marked, the new post installation caused a neighborhood cable tv/Inet outage. Posts were not uniformly placed 3 feet into ground resulting in there being a few panels where the ground to fence gap exceeds 2 inches. Several fence panels/rails needed to be removed, adjusted and renailed in mid-build to properly align to grade and allow for scalloping of board tops. Post caps very minimalist. Installation of the gate latch and a few other details completion were left undone for 9 days after the crew had "finished". In the end I do have a pretty nice looking new fence, but remain concerned as to where the costs associated with the cable damage/fix will try to land?

    Action Fence Contractors Inc
The post replacement process went well. Action is one of the few contractors that includes the removal of excess dirt and concrete. I like this option. My overall rating was downgraded because my cable line was cut and the crew did not fix it before leaving the job. It was reported to Action later in the day when my wife came home. The response was to call Comcast. I have had fence posts replaced before with cable line being cut. The workers are typically very aware when something is cut. In the past they have spliced the line together before burring the trench. I was very disappointed by this element of the job.

    ARTEAGA FENCE
This is a small father and son contractor, so we had to wait about 6 weeks to have our fence put in, but the results are worth it.  We also contacted other fence contractors and the pricing was about the same.  We are very pleased with the quality and the workmanship.  In wet areas, they used both a power auger and a hand post hole digger to make the hole wider at the bottom than at the top to help prevent heaving of the fence posts due to the freeze thaw cycle.  All holes were dug to code and the posts were sunk in concrete which they hand mixed.  The fence sections are very tightly fit to the posts and all gates have a wire and turnbuckle so that the gate can be adjusted in case the gate post sags a little.  They also provide a 5 year guarantee which no other contractor which we dealt with matched.

    FIRST FENCE INC
Estimator was on time offered some options.  I left a deposit with the estimator and was told service would be done in 10 to 14 days.  The installers performed the work 10 days after the estimate.  2 of the fence posts support my back gate.  There were special concerns with both of these posts.  One has sprinkler heads on either side of the post.  The other has a gas line connected to my grill less that a foot away.  The installers dug up the sprinkler heads to move them out of the working area and replaced them when finished.  They were also very careful not to stray too far from the other post work area in order to avoid the gas line.  I'm very happy with the approach as well as the result.

    SP Fence Company
They were outstanding. They did an excellent job. Very professional and fast. Looks great. They even completed it earlier than expected. I would recommend them to anyone. Pricing was a little high, but worth it.

    Royal Fence, Inc.
Removed old chain link and hauled it away, however they left the old posts cut and in the ground above grade.
Put in new posts and cemented in, however they left the clay and dirt spread across the yard which is a headache.
Gates need to be forced shut as they placed the posts to close together which is damaging the finish of the fence.
The owner of the company was not helpful on resolving these issues and I am left to deal with it myself.

    Aronson Fence Co Inc
Efrain the head installer was fabulous. He respected my property as if it was his own. He knows his job and cleaned up after the job was complete and it was left as if he was never there. Except my new fence posts and section? I got to say he is one of those diamonds in the rough. Thanks Efrain! I also want to say Dave the product manager is a great guy also to work with. Thank you Aronson Fence for a job well done?

    Universal Fence
A friend recommended Universal Fence, so I picked them as one of the three estimates that I had done (all companies were highly-ranked on Angie's List). The other two estimates were similar in price; but Universal Fence was lower by almost $500-- plus their lead time was only 1 week instead of 6 weeks (like the other two). I was skeptical that the service would be acceptable, because Universal was so much less expensive: But my friend's fence is very well-made, so I chose their estimate.
The day after I got my permit from the village, Universal Fence called to schedule the installation. Less than a week later, my fence had been installed! There were two workmen who did the job all in one day; and they were amongst the hardest-working, most polite guys I have ever met. They did a fabulous job building the fence onsite, and cleaned up perfectly after themselves.
When the village inspector came to do the final sign-off, he even mentioned that the fence was very nicely done! I would recommend Universal Fence to anyone for their reasonable pricing and excellent service.
