Tile Installation reviews in Orland Park

  • Everyone has heard of Contractor nightmares. If you want to avoid one, avoid Adam and Precision flooring at all costs. He took on our flooring job providing false promises and high expectations to the final product. What we got instead was being $1150 in the hole and nothing to show for it, literally nothing. If you check out his website and are impressed by the ‘Project Gallery…’ don’t be! Those aren’t his workers in the photographs and those definitely are not his projects. Just reverse google image search the pictures and you’ll see that the photos he uses pops up all over the internet. On 07/28/18 we signed a contract to begin work on the basement floor. The contract states “put on sealer, level as needed, install tile in herringbone pattern, grout install, 7 1/4” white base.” August 6th 2018 was the agreed Time of Completion. They began work on August 1st and by August 4th nothing was completed. They worked a total of 3 days around 6 hours per day or less. As for the “work” that was “started,” they started sealing cracks which is incomplete (as there are cracks that were not sealed) and attempted to tile… I repeat ‘attempted’ to tile. By August 3rd a total of 9 tiles were laid down, which were subsequently removed because it was done incorrectly by Adam’s admission. 8 out of 9 tiles were uneven and not level. It was on august 4th that we had a phone conversation and agreed to stop work and that he would sign and notarize a typed agreement stating he would pay back the $2650 that was given to him for the job within 2 weeks time (August 20th). He admitted that he was incapable of doing the job and that he was in over his head. He stated verbally via phone call and in text message that "unfortunately I made a mistake when I said I could do the job.” As for the $1500 that was paid back to us, 2 separate Chase Quickpay(s) of $500 a transaction were sent to my account via his wife’s bank account. The last $500 came from his ‘friend’s’ bank account via Chase Quickpay. If this doesn’t seem ‘fishy’ to you, then I don’t know what is. He even had the nerve and asked me if i believed in God and to pray for him to have the money by August 20th. It has since been 3 weeks past the agreed pay back date. I gave him an additional 2 weeks for good faith. This past week we’ve been going through the legal system to recover our money due to Breach of Contract. Since day 1 he spewed false promises and never saw them through. If this is how you want your hard earned money spent, then forego my advice and hire Adam. If you feel this is a false review, I have all the text messages and notarized agreement to prove it.

  • The gentlemen were on time clean and neat. They had to work with us because of having a dog and family who needed to get in and out of the house. So they tiled half the floor at a time so I was very happy

  • The problem was not with the servicemen, it was with the woman who did the quote. She did not have done what she said was supposed to then came back with an additional quote for $900 if I wanted the grout sealed. Keep in mind that my shower is newer, there was very little mold or dirt present. I felt totally duped, she told me one thing and then tried to charge me again. I have to get another company to seal the grout now after paying Sir Grout. Would definitely not recommend.

  • Very well - I used them again for additional work (floor tile repair). I highly recommend this franchisee. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and did the work on time and cleaned up. Their prices were very reasonable for both jobs.

  • After a fair and reasonable price quote which I accepted, they performed terribly inferior work. They also are negligent and disrespectful in their routine ignoring messages left - and receiving no replies back often for many days. If you need someone reliable while providing competent work you would not hire them - and simply look for another service. I have a long string of evidence in the dates and content of text messages to demonstrate these facts, should I choose to post the history in detail. I also tried many times to work directly with Scott to resolve the poor quality work - for which he came back to review, agreed, and then disappeared. I left numerous additional messages trying to amicably resolve this directly with him - to only be ignored repeatedly. I now understand that they have no intentions on making good on the $200 I spent on terrible, incompetent work in laying floor tile which 3 months after is still oozing glue up between the seams and being tracked across the floors! I'm also posting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. As Scott mentioned that he had larger paying work, I realized I was of no interest to him for menial labor. I should find someone who respects all clients in whatever size job is done.

  • Most of the work for our bathrooms and kitchen remodeling project was completed in about six weeks. HomeWerks pricing for the project was less than some quotes we obtained but more than others. We chose HomeWerks because we felt they would provide the professional quality we wanted for our project. We also wanted assistance from a designer and HomeWerks' contract included the services of a designer. We are thoroughly enjoying our remodeled spaces and are very satisfied with the work done by HomeWerks. I can't say enough good things about our project manager Greg and his team. They arrived promptly at 8 a.m. each day and worked well past 5 p.m. on most days. They patiently and thoroughly answered all our questions and addressed our concerns in a timely manner. They were always professional and made sure our floors and furniture were protected during this extensive project. Greg stopped by before noon every day to provide a project update and to answer our questions. Design consultant, Kathy, is very talented and has a sparkling personality. We really enjoyed working with her. This was our first remodeling project and the information she provided regarding what to expect was very helpful. Her patience was unwavering as we viewed numerous tile samples and made several trips to granite yards. We really appreciated her tips, design ideas and recommendations. As with any major project, we did encounter some minor problems (material on back order, out of stock tile and hollow core doors). Only one issue (hollow core doors) was not resolved to our satisfaction. Communication with Gregg throughout the project was excellent. Whenever we called or texted Greg with an issue or concern, he quickly returned our call and promptly addressed the problem. We would definitely use HomeWerks again and would recommend them to others.

  • Chris was very prompt in setting up an appointment, was on time, very professional and courteous, quickly provided us with an estimate that was very competitive.  Though we did not choose Your Chicagoland Remodeling for this job we will consider them for future work.

  • Linda at the office was great in providing all the information and scheduling. Core showed right on time. First spot checked all the jobs to be done. He made a list for any supplies needed and before leaving Corre evaluated the bathroom caulk job as well as the tile. The extent of the job to remedy a slow water leak was discussed with me. After hearing my needs it was determined that it needed so much work it wasn't worth it. So total remodel was discussed. Core moved on to the other jobs and did a beautiful job. Before he left Corre sketched a drawing and took measurements to submit to the office for an estimate. He also evaluated a roof venting for a stove vent for a later job. I definitely would like him to return to do the job if a remodel is decided. Corre was friendly, polite, and very professional.

  • Mike showed up on time and ready to work.  He was very efficient and offered suggestions regarding the color seal in each bathroom.  Both bathrooms came out great and Mike left each bathroom very clean.  I would definitely use the Grout Medic's services in the future, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
