    Cascade Plumbing & Sewer
    I purchased the Angie's list $99 deal with Cascade Plumbing to have them fix two leaky faucets in our bathroom.  I called them and scheduled a morning appointment for January 29, 2016.  I took off from work to stay home to let them in.  I called them at 10:00 to confirm that they were still coming and left a voicemail.  I called at 1:00 p.m. and left a voicemail.  I called at 4:00 p.m. and left a voicemail.  No response.  That evening, I got a call back from Cascade saying that one of their trucks broke down and they couldn't come out for the appointment.  I received no explanation for why they didn't call me to let me know that they weren't coming or why they did not return my voicemails until later that evening.  I did not receive any apology. 
    We scheduled a follow-up appointment for January 30, 2016.  Their plumber came by and fixed one of the faucets, but needed to purchase a part to fix the other faucet.  He left and said that he ordered the part from the Faucet Shoppe and would come by later that week to complete the install.  Well, it turns out that the Faucet Shoppe never ordered the part.  I had to call both the Faucet Shoppe and the plumber to determine the status of the order.  It took until March 4, 2016 to get the faucet replaced. 
    I will not be using Cascade Plumbing again.

    The vendor provided 2 services.  During the fall of 2014 they performed extensive porch repairs.  They reviewed each landing and noted all boards and trim which needed to be replaced.  They were on target with costs and completed the work when scheduled.
    At that time we discussed concerns regarding an overhang above the front entrance and some water damage and falling stucco.
    We scheduled this to be reevaluated in the Spring.  As soon as i contacted the vendor they scheduled a meeting and reviewed the work to be completed.  Prior to working with Exterior Remodeling we had met with at least five vendors .Recommendations were to rebuild the entire structure for an exorbitant cost.
    This is a vintage building and there was concern with matching the 2nd entrance and meeting all of the village requirements.  When we met with Exterior Remodeling they opened up the structure and showed us how it could be repaired from underneath.  They replaced the stucco underside of the structure and went to great extent to match the paint.  They arrived when scheduled and completed the work quickly.  Most work was completed the first day.  They returned to touch up the stucco and compete the painting the following day. Very friendly workmen.  Explained exactly what would be done and followed through in a very professional manner.

    Bald Eagle Construction
    Went very well. Kevin was able to provide a quote quickly, which was important as we had noticed water damage in a bedroom due to the state of the old chimney. Bald Eagle's quote was very competitive and was the only one that both the chimney rebuild and the flashing. (I received two other quotes.) The work was able to be scheduled in a couple of weeks and was completed in one day. The finished product looks excellent.

    Protech Water Damage
    I called Pro Tech after having a horrible experience with another company (I will also be writing a review for them). They couldn't have been nicer or more understanding of my situation. I originally spoke with Dan who assured me they would have someone out the same day. A short while later Jerry and Ryan came to the house and looked at the damage. Again both were very nice and very professional. Jerry quoted me a price (less than the company i originally called) and I signed the contract. I asked him when he could start. He said right now and he and Ryan brought in the equipment and started working on our carpeting. He called in more help to move the furniture and then brought in fans and dehumidifying equipment to help dry us out. Everything is still running and we are still working with Pro Tech but I wanted to write this review now because our experience with them has been so exemplary. Great company and Jerry and Ryan in particular were great. Flooding is such a disturbing event but working with this company has made it much easier to deal with the aftermath.

    Keegan and his ops manager Eric Nielsen were excellent. Eric was very confident in the solutions and very patient with all my requests. Their folks are very professional. We had to gut the floor of a bathroom and dry wall and insulation on the first floor. While I would wish this situation on no one ever Keegan and his guys are the best resource to call on. I would (and have) call them again.

    I wasn’t impressed by them. They had to come back twice. The big deal price was $129. They tried to charge me more; I think they took it through my credit. They came out, screwed it all up and then they came back. They tried to charge me again. I told them that I wasn’t go to pay them. I think they sent it to a collection agency.

    Grimefighters Carpet Cleaning, Inc.
    They didn't have any specials going on at the time.  Even on the stationary recommended by Angie's List and were still working together after seven months to clean this house, garage and everything.  They're very good to work with.   The accident was found on the fourth of July and they were out the following week.  They did drywall because my insurance company was so bad about not paying, you know to pull $20,000 out of your pocket when your not working and you have no income, that's pretty hard to do.  So they worked with payments with me so it's taking longer.  But because of that the damage got worse and that's the insurance companies fault.   At least I won't have them anymore after February.    I did like there willingness to work with me.  They were very nice.  There was never any fighting.  They kept me abreast of what was going on.   The only thing that I didn't get was at the time and most of the way through, I didn't get itemized invoices that showed which check went to what and who paid and whose check was it and what it went towards.  Finally last month they sent one out to my brother in California.  So that's done now.  Very frustrating for me because I would say here's three thousand dollars to go towards the house or to go towards the garage and then they would tell me that the other one was all done and we were square on it and they had put it towards the wrong thing but we are all square, I mean they didn't steal any money or anything like that.  I think there office needs a little bit more tending to.  Invoicing needs a little improvement but otherwise they were right there, they're very good, they've kept in touch with me at least two or three times a week.   They give me there personal cell phone and everything and are doing additional work for me as there finishing off the garage.  I have no complaints whatsoever.

    All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning
    We worked with a sales person, Jack Freedman, who suggested a couple of options for air conditioning our 100+ year old home. We have a hot water heating system with radiators, so it would not be an easy installation. Two systems were discussed Space Pak and Unoco, both systems require putting tubes in walls and vents in the ceilings. Jack brought over a technician, Tony who looked over the house and assured us that the job could be done with minimal cosmetic changes that it would take about 7-10 days work.  And he was absolutely correct on the time estimate and his suggested ways of minimizing reconstruction. The equipment was installed in the attic and tubes were sent through second floor closets to the first floor and through the ceilings of the first floor to vent the appropriate spaces. I would not normally try to describe the system installation so carefully except that of the 9 tubes going through the walls, no 100+ year old plaster was damaged. Tony and Charlie did an excellent job and Jack followed up with us on a regular basis during the install! The building inspector commented that it was a nice job.

    Servdry, Inc. Water Damage and Carpet Cleaning
    These guys were excellent to work with. We had a newborn in the house, so it was critical that we take care of a flooded basement right away to reduce any chance of mold impacting the air quality of our fragile baby. Jeff was professional and prompt, he prioritized taking care of us after a heavy storm (they had many jobs to coordinate). They did a great job and were done within a couple days.
    I was most impressed with the follow up after the work had been completed. Jeff called me a week or so after the job was done to ask how satisfied we were with their techs and the quality of the work. There actually was a small issue that I had not thought to call about - the carpet was browning in some areas. Jeff sent out their technicians who did further cleaning of the carpet and it now looks like new again. He sent out the techs at no charge to take care of it, which was much appreciated!
    Would recommend this company, hopefully we don't have to deal with a flooded basement again, but if we do, i will have ServDry on speed dial.

    Keith was great.  He gave us instructions over the phone of prep work we could do to save money.  He did not charge us an emergency fee even though he came the same day that we called. He did a great job and charged us a great price for his work and equipment.
