Irrigation System reviews in Oak Park

Workers arrived promptly as scheduled, worked efficiently and explained the operation of the new system controller, which works very well. Cost was within range estimated, though on the high side. The bill did not arrive until months after the job was completed.

It was like magic! We have a beautiful garden, and they managed to install everything without disturbing our sidewalk, brick patio, or the garden. They cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell anything had been done. Lauren, the owner, has been fabulous to work with! There were a few small tweeks, and they came back without charging and corrected everything. The employees were wonderful to work with.

The guys arrived on a day that was snowing, but got to work right away.  The job was tricky because they had to work around a gate and fence post, and had to cut a number of pavers in our patio to fit in the channel drain.  The large team hand dug the trench and two pits, installed all the equipment, and returned everything back to normal by the end of the day.  All in a freak spring snowstorm!  By evening, you would never have know they were there.  The area was put back to normal and left spotless.  Best of all, no more water in our outdoor living space!  Couldn't be happier.

A great experience! Darrell was very knowledgable and personable. He came over to inspect an old sprinkler system that came with our house and was quickly able to identify why it wasn't working properly (which was an easy fix, but he didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing how to operate it). He also replaced a couple of sprinkler heads and suggested raising one higher so it wouldn't get buried under our plants.
He is also a really nice guy and his prices are reasonable, which is a rarity in the home repair world. We will definitely be using him as our go-to guy.

    Magic Irrigation LLC
On or about July 24th Magic Irrigation was supposed to adjust
a valve so that there would be no leak at the sprinkler head, they didn?t fix
it. On or about July 29th, Adam, the technician, came out for a
second time to try to fix the problem. He left, saying ?it should be OK just
let it dry?. Well I let it dry but it was still leaking at the sprinkler head
the next day. I emailed Barb (Wilk) again on or about July 30th at
and explained to her that the problem was not fixed, she basically said "the
system is old and everybody at Magic Irrigation can't figure out why it is
still leaking". Basically they said Magic Irrigation is "giving
up". So I went back to Angie's List and contacted Moonshower Sprinkler
Service, they came out, repaired the valve, I paid them $135.00 and they were
on their way. But the main point of this complaint is that when I went down to
the basement to shut off the water, I couldn't, because the nut on the handwheel
shutoff valve was stripped; I then noticed that the shaft of the shutoff
valve was shiny as if Adam was using it to shut off the water. On or about
August 6h I sent Barb (Wilk) another email complaining about the
    stripped valve.  Magic Irrigation technicians
were the only ones that touched the sprinkler system up to the end of July,
2014; at the beginning of the season they turned on the system and replaced a
couple of sprinkler heads. Also, there was a major repair on another valve,
costing over $500.00 that was done in early July. I always have paid them on
time and have never complained about the cost because I trusted them explicitly
with my house sprinkler system.  So they had
control over my sprinkler system all the way to about the beginning of early
August. I did not find out about the stripped handwheel till I hired Moonshower
Sprinkler Service on or about August 6th.  So in the email to Barb (Wilk) I said ?I now
have to hire a plumber to come in and replace the stripped valve. I did hire a
plumber on November 19th, also from Angie?s List, Chicagoland Plumbing, he added
another shutoff valve above the previous one  and charged $185.00. I have been trying to contact Magic Irrigation since their
November of 2014 to get compensated for the shutoff valve which clearly his
technicians stripped the shutoff valve but they won?t respond to my emails and they refuse to
accept certified mail;  I sent the certified
mail on or about February 25th and the last email on March 27th.
Well in January of this year Magic Irrigation sent an email wanting to open up my
system for the present year. How can I trust them? If they damage my system
this year will they own up to it? They never told me about stripping my shutoff
valve last year. Aren?t companies insured for their miscues?

It’s a small operation.  They’ve been really great about fixing our sprinkler system as well as doing the routine things like winterization and turning it on for the spring.  Their prices are very reasonable compared to a larger company we had formerly hired.

Because I have had good experiences with this company in the past I called and made an appointment. They came out, did good, fast work and charged a reasonable amount for it. Now, I am waiting for the village to reimburse me. If they don't come through I will will a bad report about my village.

Darrel reconfigured an existing system after we had some construction done. He rerouted the main supply and added new heads, yet did so with the minimum amount of work by figuring out how to reuse what we already had in the ground. He's now my go-to guy for lawn sprinkler service.

Their lawn service is very cheap. They are good. They are quick. It is a small lawn. They cut our edges and bushes. They do that twice in the season. They do not charge extra for that. They weed the garden, and help put it to rest for the winter. They pulled something that was annual. They do a nice job with the cleaning. This year they will be doing extra. They are doing fertilization starting this day. They charged $40 for fertilization; but I feel it is expensive for the size of my lawn. The results are fine for the work they have done. They spread the seeds, and cover it up so birds cannot see. The grass looks fine. They replaced the part of the lawn once, which was dead. They rejuvenated it. I am happy with them. I don't look for anyone outside the Angie's list.

I think they are really great. I am a gardener, so I cut through my system quite frequently and they always come right out to fix it for me. They did just great blowing the system out and I have no complaints. The charge always varies depending on the parts and labor of the job. They are reasonable I think. Like I said, it really depends on the complication of the job. I am happy with them and feel they are worth a good recommendation.
