    Chicago Gas Lines
Our church received a donated Wolf stove. When we set it in place for installation we discovered ti required 2 gas line connections. We called several places but it was CGL that was the most responsive and new immediately what we would need. Zac set up an appointment right away which we needed to do before Sunday. Ryan, the tech that was assigned to us was prompt, a pleasure to work with and totally professional and expert. We will happily refer them to others and have replaced our prior contact with CGL for any gas line issues going forward.

I called Eric late in the afternoon and he came out the next day to add a gas shut off valve for me after it was recommended in my home inspection.  I will definitely use Eric in the future for any gas related repair issues.

I called several places to get estimates.  Theirs was the best.  It was $95 to hook up the dryer and we ended up paying for one additional repair b/c the current setup wasn't to code.

    Hannah's Plumbing & Maintenance
I needed to shut off the gas by my clothes dryer in the basement, but the valve was like 30 years old and petrified. Rather than tinker with this, I called Hannah plumbing. They were able to come out the same day, and in short order Curt Zeiger was at the door. He was friendly and professional, got in there and got the job done quickly. While re-lighting the water heater pilot, he noticed a gas leak at a pipe joint that hadn't been properly tightened by a previous workman. He fixed it for free and checked to ensure the other pipes were sound. Nice guy!

Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning
I had called several HVAC's for estimates on removing our old furnace and replacing with a new SOA furnace & A/C. The salesman from Four Seasons, was prompt, answered all of my questions, and his bid was overall the best. After reviewing the others I decided to go with them and called for an installation date. They set up an appointment for the following week, and arrived within their estimated time frame. They started dismantling our old furnace (a big job), and removed all of the pieces. then started remodeling the plenums to match the new system. The sheet metal worker (Ernesto) was a true artist, I watched in awe as he manipulated large coils of Galvanized sheet and fashioned the new plenums and housings for the A/C unit. They worked two 10-hour and one 5-hour days to complete the job. As I am retired, I pulled up a chair to watch them throughout the process. They were courteous at all times, worked diligently and professionally, and did a neat and complete job. The New furnace was installed and operational by the end of the second day of work. The A/C unit was installed a week later, as they had other furnace requests to attend to. Everything was done according to plan, and the Building Inspector gave it a 100% thumbs-up when he inspected their work. The new furnace has been operational for a month now, and we are very satisfied.

They came the next day after I called them. They did a fine work. I thought that it was going to cost me more. However, when the person from this company came to see it, he was able to replace a part immediately. He was able to tell me what the problem was as soon as he looked at the oven. He told me that there was something wrong with the board, and he was not even going to charge me for it. He did not take a long time, and he tested the oven before he left to make sure everything was fine. He was very professional.

They did not end up moving the gas line. I have been contacting them trying to get a refund for the work that was not done. I have not been able to find out how much I should be refunded or when I would get it.The price was good. they have to call to get all of the gas and power lines marked. they did not get it done and so they had to reschedule the work. They scheduled to come on a certain day. They came the day before and I didn't expect them to be coming, They came digging the line in the wrong place. They had to stop and start digging somewhere else to move it into the right place. It was kind of a disaster. Had I not been home it would have been an even bigger disaster. They told me I should put the meter outside from he person who looks at the job. It also took me 4 weeks to call em back. When they came to install they told me I couldn't put the meter outside because it would freeze up. Overall it was a horrible experience with them.

Eric, the owner, was easy to schedule with, he came out, took a look at the range location and then took a look at the gas lines in the basement. He had an estimate for us on the spot, and did the work right then, too. He was quick, thorough and very professional, and as other's have noted, a genuinely nice guy! Fortunately, we haven't had any gas leaks or the need to call him out again, but we wouldn't hesitate to use him in the future.

Eric is a great communicator. He swung by after hours to check our issue. He came in and checked our stove. He was very thorough in his assessment. He did a great job explaining the cause of the smell. He didn't talk down to us at all. He's a very polite and prompt.

    Handyman Matters Chicago
Dealing with the front office to arrange work was efficient and easy. This is the second time I've called HM but the first time I decided to have work done. However both times their availability to schedule work was excellent. The work was mostly done neatly but they did leave a layer of sawdust over everything near the door where the new lockset was installed. Even with the travel time to get parts for the piping, the job was done in 4 hours. The other slight hangup I had is that I was supposed to talk with the service person the night before the job but they never called. I left a message with the front office and the service person did end up calling me the next morning before he arrived at the house. So it worked out fine (especially since the lock set was a late addition to the task list).
