Tooth Extraction reviews in Oak Park

    Cameo Endodontics
Very confusing.Though I saw great reviews,it did not match our experience. Our 2 insurances were not accepted by the same dentist in both offices, which I have never seen before This meant we had to go to an office father away where the insurance was taken. The info on the phone from the dental office secretary did not match what we were told when we arrived or with the final EOB. A 3-D X-ray was to be performed(which gives more info about the root and tooth) and I had had checked out all the covered costs etc.But when we were at the appointment it was not done, and the dentist said he would do the 3D x-ray during the procedure if necessary. It would seem to me you would want all the information about the surgery BEFORE you start. He was also snarky about us having 2 insurances..saying "Lucky YOU"! Then on the EOB(the paper you receive of what you were charged and what was covered and what you owe) it listed another dentist's name as having done the consult.(??)
We are going to another person, now at our cost since the insurance only covers one consult per year.It is a lot of wasted time/money for us besides the pain factor.Very disappointed.

    Cameo Endodontics
The first dentist I saw took an x ray and saw that the root of the tooth that was hurting had broken.  She told me there was no option to save the tooth and offered that her partner could do an extraction and implant if I wanted to go that route, or my general dentist could refer me elsewhere if I preferred.  They put no pressure on me to have the work done there, which I appreciated. I asked her to call my dentist to see what he recommended, and he recommended I have the work done by Cameo.  I had the extraction done by Dr. Rick Munaretto the following week.  He was very gentle. The extraction was painless, the aftercare instructions were very clear, and it's healed up well in the last 3 weeks. I have not started the implant process, so I can't comment on that, but so far so good.  My "B" rating for effectiveness of treatment is only because I do not know yet how the implant will go.
I've had many root canals done there in the last 7 to 11 years and have been pleased with the results.

    Grace H. Esposito, DDSPC
Everyone in our family have been going to Dr Esposito since we moved to Illinois (in 1990). I'm fussy about dentists; I prefer one who does the cleaning as well as the exam. SO GLAD I found Dr Esposito who does it all, gently and skillfully. She has done fillings for us, braces, root canals, crowns, etc, and we've always been pleased with her services. Her office is tiny, very low key, relaxed, and user friendly. She really cares about her patients. We have recommended her to friends who have needed a dentist, and they have all been very happy with her work, too.

    Thomas, Dr. Chris T
I have been going for 2.5 years. This office makes it a veritable pleasure to go to the dentist. I had terrible jaw pain, I was pouring liquids into my throat because I couldn't open my mouth much less chew. Dr. Thomas put in a mouth guard and I felt so much better I almost started to cry in relief. Later I did, several times. He gave me great advice and told me what to watch out for - I had been clenching and unclenching my jaw, and gritting my teeth, a LOT in the last few months. I'd done it all my life and never thought about it. It was like the clouds parted or something. I thought I had TMJ and it was something so small and, really, self-inflicted. Anyhow I wear that sucker faithfully every night!! Since then he is the only dentist we go to. My husband got an emergency root canal last spring and everyone was ready with the sympathy, but he came out of it saying, "It wasn't really that bad." He didn't take pain medications or anything after, it was so carefully well done. I was astounded on his behalf. Really I just can't say enough. I am excited to take my kids when they are old enough for the dentist. They will develop a lifelong trust for the dentist! Chris Thomas is amazing, and he runs a fantastic office as well. Every interaction is a positive one.

    Thomas, Dr. Chris T
Fabulous. I told her to pay attention to details and she said he explained each step understandably before performing it and was very friendly.

He is competent with what he does and has a very gentle manner. The hygienist was capable and gentle. They were professional, responsive, and punctual.
