I met with the doctor and he reviewed the issues I was having from what he saw in the Xrays and MRI. He referred me to physical therapy to help strengthen the muscles around my knee. It was very effective at dealing with the worst pain I was having. But as I got more serious about exercising regularly, it was not enough. So, I went back and he recommended supartz injections into my knee cap every 6 months. It worked like a dream! I can't run a marathon, but I can take various fitness classes and not modify 90% of the moves. It was a great result. Oh, and Adam, Dr. Koh's PA is awesome, too.

I set up an appointment with Dr. Flood quite quickly and easily after I searched for podiatrists on Angies list. After X-ray pictures were taken at the office, Dr. Flood diagnosed my foot problem caused by Haglund's deformity. He gave me a few printed sheets which described in detail about my problem and procedures of the treatments. I felt these instructions are very helpful for me to fully understand the problem and the causes. The only thing I have complain was the overpriced shoe support the office sold to me, and the static ankle foot orthoses which Medicare has denied the payment.

I started to get fairly severe pain in my shoulder after doing physical work - especially work over my head. This is what I did for a living until this stopped me. I was referred to Dr. Levin. He said I had arthritis in my AC joint that could be fixed with surgery, but that he would have to try physical therapy and cortisone injections first. I did the 12 weeks of physical therapy, which helped, but did not - cannot alleviate the underlying arthritis in the joint. The pain soon returned. When I asked him about surgery, or mentioned that I had read about the procedure on the internet, he made insulting remarks about patients who think they know something because they read it on the internet. He was reluctant to answer any of my questions about future treatments. His "bedside manner" was deplorable. I always came away feeling frustrated and insulted. I believe that his specialty is sports medicine for young people. He may be OK for that, but for arthritis in an older patient, he wasted months of my time when I could have had the problem fixed and been back to work. I have since gone to a orthopedic surgeon who treats shoulders and older people, and I had the surgery which has fixed the problem.
