  • Very professional, explained and showed me how old weathered and bare wires in our outdoor a/c unit had caused a power surge that blew the capacitors both inside and out. It’s a 25 year old a/c unit so I was sure we were in for a replacement. They got it up and running again within an hour or so. Very happy we didn’t have to replace the whole unit. Works great and would definitely recommend these guys.

  • Read my full review: On the hottest day and week of the year my air conditioning went out, I was out of town when my wife called me. I contact this company who's technician Mike came out to my home and after checking the system told me that the blower motor assembly needed to be replaced at a cost of $1500 and to think about purchasing a new unit which is close $3000. After checking the Angie list community I found that the most anyone was paying for this repair was $800. This is when I looked at the part they wanted to replace and found that it only cost around $300, I then contacted another company who came out to my home the next day and within 12 minutes determined that I had NO problems at all with my blower motor and had it up and working immediately! This other company also replaced a capacitor which I have replaced a handful over the years. Total cost of my repair $225.00. NOT the $1500 or $3000 I would of spent if I didn't have the other company come out to repair it. I have all this in writing and also having the other company tech tell me this absolutely should not of happened. I was out of town and this company took full advantage of not only my air conditioning being down but that it happened on the hottest day and week of the year and I was out of town. This company didn't want to pay me the $225.00 that it took to repair my unit but they were more than willing to take the $1500 or $3000 I would of paid them to get my system up and working when it was 100% totally unnecessary. This companies deceptive practices is something I wanted to make sure the Angies list community was aware of as I have all the paperwork to prove and confirm everything I'm writing. The company did offer to give me back the $99 they charged me to have their skilled 12 year veteran technician come to my home and tell me I needed to spend $1500 - $3000 to get my system up and running that again was totally unnecessary. All I can tell you is the truth and my experience dealing with this company. When I did receive a call from them they of course were believing their technician and the manager telling me that there must of been something else written on the bill that it could be something else and when I confirmed it with him that his 12 year veteran absolutely wrote nothing else he had no answer for that one and when I told the person who contacted me that I was going to make sure the Angie's List community was going to be aware of this incident they basically said go ahead and write it and this is why I'm making sure that everyone knows the deceptive practices of this company.

  • Please Read my entire review: I had another contractor (ABC) come out to my home and told me I needed a blower motor assembly and the cost would be $1500, and was told I should also look into purchasing a new entire unit. after checking this site and seeing that the most I should pay is around $800 and confirming that the part was under $300 I decided to contact another company AIR SOLUTIONS MECHANICAL SERVICES,INC and upon arrival it took Robert approximately 12 minutes to determine that the blower motor assembly was just fine and had no problems at all and had it up and working immediately. He also determined that I had a bad capacitor which is a part I have replaced a handful of times. I really want to thank Robert and thank this company as it truly is an honest and trustworthy company that not only will I recommend to all my friends but to the Angie list community to use for all your air conditioning and heating needs as I will most definitely will be calling them for all of mine. On a side note this happened on the hottest day and week of the year and I was out of town at the time ABC Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electric 220 West Campus Drive Suite 200 Arlington Heights, IL 60004 came out to my home telling me that I needed to spend $1500 and look into purchasing a new unit which would of been as you all know at least $3000. I wanted to make sure the Angie list community was aware of this deceptive company and their deceptive practices. I also contacted them and received a response that they wouldn't pay the $225 I paid to fix the unit but again were willing to make me spend $1500 - $3000 on a repair that was 100% not necessary and not needed. They took full advantage of the weather and me being out of town to be very deceptive. I have ALL the paper work to confirm everything.

  • Was disappointed by the experience. Two years ago had rated this provider an A. Felt very different about this appt. He came out to adjust air flow through my house. When I asked to use a meter to check the flow he stared me and said he didn't need it. The air flow issue was not resolved. It was no different from when he came. He checked my A/C and serviced but then tried to upsell me on a product that we didn't want. I don't mind the proposal but he was a little too persistent. Sad that this experience was so different from the first. Times change.

  • My forced air heating system was totally offline, and my house was getting cold quickly. I called Dave, the owner of Gotsch, around lunchtime to ask when he could diagnose my furnace. Dave was at my house in less than 40 minutes. Even though my furnace had a winter "tune up" from another company, Dave quickly diagnosed my heat exchanger had failed. Dave took the time to disassemble the furnace, removed the broken heat exchanger, had Bryant replace it (under an extended warranty he knew about!), then reassembled the furnace with the new heat exchanger. Dave could have easily pushed for me to buy a new furnace, but he presented the heat exchanger replacement as option right away. Integrity and service like that are extraordinarily rare. Bryant gave Dave a labor allowance to install the heat exchanger, but other HVAC companies typically charge the customer for labor over and above Bryant's allowance. Dave stayed until after 9pm on March 8th, to ensure the heat was back on, and the house was warm. You couldn't ask for better service than Dave offers. He's experienced, knowledgeable, has strong relationships with suppliers, and goes to extraordinary lengths to help customers with their HVAC needs. I happily signed up for Gotsch's prepaid maintenance program. As long as I live in IL, I wouldn't consider using anyone else for my HVAC needs. Dave is one in a million!

  • Great! Everyone at AnyTemp is extremely responsive and punctual, always calling if they are running even slightly behind. Both Sal and Antonio have worked on our furnace and both are extremely professional and knowledgeable as well as being a joy to work with. Every time I have called for service they have been extremely responsive. In short, there is nothing they could do differently! They are wonderful to work with.

  • We had some problems, but we worked them through--- such as miscommunication about cost and the furnace I requested not being in stock. This was the only company that did not try to sell me more than I requested, and I appreciate that. I expect to use this company again.

  • This was the third estimate I got. I just wanted an air handler, but the salesperson was determined to sell me an air handler heat pump system. He said he had installed at least 10 or 20 or 30 (The number changed during the conversation.) such systems in my subdivision and would be happy to supply references. He later emailed me one reference, but the address wasn't in my subdivision. He gave me an estimate for the system, did not want to give me an estimate for just the air handler. I realize that American Standard is a top-notch brand; but the estimate was the highest I'd received by far. I didn't consider it. If you want a top-notch brand and a whole system, this might be the company for you, but not for me. I'm up in years; I don't need something this classy, long-lasting, and expensive.

  • He canceled the first appointment because he and his wife needed to deal with something. He agreed to come later that day, but did not show up or cancel. I sent him a message via Angie's List; he did not reply. I talked with him briefly on the phone a second time; it sounded to me like he was uncertain he had the expertise to do the job well.
