    |They were courteous, professional and did good work; they fitted me well and the dress fit GREAT!  Also, the work was done in the time they predicted.  I made the mistake of NOT trying on the dress however before I left with it... In hindsight, this was as much my fault as that of the shop... they should "want" to know it fit well? |Although, I'm sure that if I'd mentioned this at pick-up, they would have happily obliged.  |When we were dressing for the wedding -- the skirt had not been "let down"... luckily the bride had her seamstress/dress-maker at the dressing room.   She was able to appropriately "let down" the skirt again... She was great and DID confirm that the work that was done was great quality.  |So, I would DEFINITELY use the European Tailor Shop again, however, I would allow for time to pick-up the dress, and plan to try it on at pick-up and permit time should any additional alterations be needed.

    Without A Trace
I sent the slacks in for repair and asked that they contact me to discuss the extent of the damage before agreeing to having any work done. When the customer service rep contacted me, we had a lengthy discussion about what the end result would look like so that I could decide whether or not to proceed. I was told that the end result would be "barely noticeable" and unless you look very closely, you will just notice a line across the top. The price was quoted at $125 and the cost of the slacks new was $275 so I was somewhat hesitant to have the work done. I asked if they would do it for $100 and she agreed. Their website has several before and after images and based on the reps comments and the images, I agreed to have the work done. What was supposed to be "barely noticeable" was anything but. Each area had two one inch square patches weaved into the fabric. It was totally obvious and looked terrible. I called the company back to express my displeasure. The Owner took the call and before I could finish two sentences, he cut me off and just ripped into me. I was shocked by this guy's attitude. He literally scolded me. i. His employee has worked there 25 years and would never use the phrase "barely noticeable". OK, I must have made that up! ii. He told me the customer service rep tried to talk me out of having the work done. OK, so even though she's saying the workmanship would be poor, I wanted it done anyway. Right. If that's the case, why didn't they refuse to do the work? If I didn't care about the workmanship, I wouldn't have called to complain in the first place. iii. He insisted she told that there would be two square outlines where the work was done. Not true. She never said that, and the before/after images on their website do not indicate this. iv. He said I made up the phrase "barely noticeable" and said I only heard what I wanted to hear. v. He said "we even reduced the price by $25". So what? Does that justify poor workmanship? vi. He said "you didn't even come in, you sent the pants in". So what? Does that mean you won't do a good job? vii. He said he would reduce the bill by $20. I said I thought he should refund the entire amount because the slacks were no longer wearable. He refused, then closed by saying "I don't need customers like you, goodbye". This guy has a hot head. He is rude, inconsiderate and condecending. Bottom line: If you don't like the quality of the workmanship, don't complain.

I would say they're just about average. I had to take it back in twice because they didn't shorten it correctly the first time. I also had a slight issue when they allowed a preferred customer to barge in and cut all of us in line, even though we had been there for several hours. I actually found someone else to do my work in the future.
