The subfloor which was wet was supposed to be replaced. It was not replaced. Now our kitchen floor has a hump and there is still mold on the ceiling in our basement. The grout is coming up between the tiles in the kitchen. It started coming up almost immediately. We pointed it out to them and they came and "fixed" it. Only to have it come up again. It is coming up in greater bits than before and another contractor we had come out to evaluate it said it was mixed incorrectly and would eventually all come out. They said the only way to prevent that would be to pull it all up and redo it. It took them 3 attempts to do the wood floor. The first time the floor squeaked with every step. You could literally see the floor move underfoot. Also, the boards slid back and forth so you could see the subfloor. We pointed this out and they again came out to "fix" it. When they fixed it the floor didn't squeak so much but there was a nail sticking straight up in the middle of the floor. We had to point out the nail. They then did it a third time. There are still boards that slide so we can see the sub floor. It still squeaks (though not as bad). They also did not replace the transition as they said they would. It's a trip hazard. The trim had to be replaced. The initially put the original trim back, but because the floor was lower the trim didn't reach the floor. WE had to point this out. Again, they came out to fix it. They did replace the trim, but they didnt prep the wood properly so it looks like it was was covered in spots and they stained it a DIFFERENT COLOR so it doesn't match the other trim. The door they replaced leaked and the lock was broken. The door actually dripped water, we could hear it. They came out to fix that also. I guess it's fixed (I have zero confidence in their caulk work) but we had to have another company come out to fix the locks. They broke one of our cabinets and the fridge icemaker. They said they would come out to fix it and they never did. We pointed out that the paint now ends above the trim, they said they would paint it, they never did. They also took four to five MONTHS to do this awful job. They told us it would take two day. Two and a half at most. That's one of the reasons we hired them, the other companies we got quotes from said a week. In retrospect that should have been a red flag, not a good sign.

Mark did a very good job.  He stayed on the original schedule and kept us in the loop during the entire process. We are pleased with the results and he also gave us good advice on care and maintenance

We had a few snafus for which I have to take some of the responsibility. We tried to have them finish floors while on a trip abroad when I was going to be out of email contact. Not wise. This slowed us down because they couldn't get questions answered when a stain became unavailable while we were away. So it took a little longer than planned overall. But VERY easy to work with and dedicated to what they do.

I went to Carpet Weaver's to work with a person recommended by my painters. I was putting in new carpet and vinyl in my condo (1250 sq ft). She did not ask any questions on what my needs were, what I was looking at, price points, etc.

She immediately took me to the cheapest carpet, commented several times she didn't know what I wanted but never stopped talking long enough to ask me what I wanted. She didn't know where anything was in the store and kept having to ask for assistance from other people. After looking on my own, I selected a few samples and asked for her to work up estimates on the products I selected. I never heard back from her again.

I went to a company in another town and they did an excellent job.

In June 2011, I went with a friend of mine to Carpet Weaver's to look at ceramic tile. The salesperson was knowledgeable and set up a time to come and measure. She asked for some additional information on installation after receiving their estimate (which was pretty high) and never received any follow up calls. She ended up at another store in town, who did a great job at half the cost of Carpet Weaver's estimate. I would never recommend Carpet Weaver's.

I contacted them for an estimate to have my hallway carpet removed and replaced with laminate. I spoke to a woman who told me their flooring guy would call me back to set-up a time to come measure. He called me back and left a voice mail. I returned his phone call less then an hour later and had to leave him a voice mail. I never heard from them again. I called a few more times but each time no one answered the phone. It's now been two weeks and I still haven't received a phone call to even set-up a time to measure. I called back to cancel my request and they didn't even seem to care that they were losing a potential customer.

Our experience with PM Restoration has been outstanding. Work is completed on time and at a fair price. If something unexpected arises, they deal with the problem and stay until the job is completed. PM Restoration is a family business run by husband-wife team Patti and Mark. For us, this has meant that communication has been excellent and there is none of the runaround we have experienced with other contractors. The services they offer go above and beyond that of a contractor--on numerous occasions PM Restoration has been able to visualize original ways of handling a situation and provided results that exceeded our original ideas. No project is too big or too small. We have referred them to at least eight friends and neighbors and all have been satisfied with the results. For the fastest response, call Patti's cell phone.

Not everything was in stock. We ordered several parts to fill out the order. The matching trim pieces were a red oak, and did not match at all to the flooring. The contractor asked for more material after the initial purchase, so Menards front desk service offered to add it on to the already expired deferred payment offer via a fax. Both of these little issues became big problems over time. 1) Long story short, no one, not even the Store Manager, seemed able to get the matching trim for my job. I never was able to get the pieces from them. 2) The bank that handles Menards Big Card deals is now in Shanghai China. Good luck dealing with there telephone people in Nevada. They regularly stonewalled me. The bank kept charging me interest on my 'deferred interest' purchase. Finally I involved the front desk at the local store and they had to try several months in a row to get it fixed. After four months of haggling, we still had problems with the invoices being incorrect. Finally the local Menards person was able to get them to fix everything on the bill and get it all right. 3) When we made the final payoff after nine months, they stuck us with a $641 finance charge based on a fine print detail that we had missed. When I complained they offered to reduce it to $320. When I asked for a supervisor, they then offered to reduce it to only $160. Essentially what happpened was they had a fine print paragraph that said the promotional date was on January 10th. But our due date was January 16th. So because we paid the total due after the 10th, but before the 16th, they charged us 20% interest for 9 months. The due date of the 16th was in clear letters at the top. The 10th due date was in small letters below in the body of the bill. Total experience with Menards: This job took about 18 phone calls with an average of 30 minutes per phone call to straighten out all the problems. And then I had to pay $160 in interest charges to close the account because of the fine print snafu. I could not recommend against these guys enough. If prices are anywhere close, go with one of their competitors.

We had ordered carpet from the mills and needed to have it installed. House Doctors was listed in the yellow pages under flooring installation and we had used them for siding repair so gave them a call. John was there the next day to provide an estimate and a detailed plan for the orderly installation. This was a challenge as we had to empty each room, dismantle closet organizers and remove the old carpet and pad. We settled on a day and time and he was there exactly when he said he would be. We encountered a few challenges in getting the carpet to the rooms and being really close on yardage. He did an excellent job and the carpet looks great. We will definitely use House Doctors for our next project.
