    De Re Tire and Auto
I had my son take his car to De Re Tire and Auto in New Lenox to get an oil change and to have the car inspected in anticipation of a long road trip. The inspection was to include a coolant pressure test. They told us that the radiator was leaking at the drain valve so the radiator needed to be replaced, and that the hoses were original and should be replaced also. Total estimate, $1000. I contacted a car dealer maintenance shop for his brand of vehicle to ask about the leak at the drain valve. They said if it was leaking, it was probably an O-ring on the drain valve. This part is a few dollars. It is also made so it can be easily be pulled out and checked/replaced. I asked the manager at the De Re in New Lenox why he didn't check the O-ring before saying we needed a new radiator. His reply was that if he checked it and it broke, then I would expect him to cover the replacement of the radiator. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, we took the car over to Superior Auto in New Lenox to get another opinion. The mechanic there did a pressure test and found NO leaks on the coolant system. He checked the radiator hoses and said they were fine and didn't need to be replaced. He even pulled out the drain valve on the radiator to check the O-ring and said it was also fine. What he did say was that the transmission fluid was low enough that it didn't show up on the dipstick. De Re tried to sell my son a $1000 repair he didn't need, and missed the transmission fluid level being low, which should have been caught on the inspection. My son made his 1300 mile road trip without any mechanical issues with the car.

We always take the car to the same place. We're very satisfied with that. They're kind of expensive but the work is good. We have used them for years. I have a 2002 Lincoln Continental and we've done a lot of things on that car. We're always very satisfied. The work is fantastic but they are kind of expensive. I would tell friends or family to go to them.

    5Star Window Tinting
5star is awesome!!! Kris and his guys were professional and the finished product was outstanding!!!! My car looks amazing, I def wouldn't go to anyone else. My tint has a lifetime warranty and it perfect. The guys explained the process to me in detail, explained how to care for my windows and made sure I was happy before I left the shop. They got me an appointment that was convenient for me and my car was done before I knew it. Thank you Kris, I'll be sending all of my friends and family your way!!

Their prices are usually cheaper than if you go to some other places. This is someone, this has been in the family, this is like the third generation that we have been going to the same place. They have always been helpful. We have been satisfied with the work that we get from them.

Had to have my truck towed to shop as it would not start.  They diagnosed problem quickly.  I also had them perform a 60 point inspection.  I have used this shop before and they provide quality service.  They are a little more expensive than other shops but I believe they are very thorough and meticulous.

I had been shopping for a new vehicle. It was a little intimidating as a newly single mother. I know what a want and need in a vehicle but wasn't sure I would be able to afford what I was looking for. After going to Phillips I checked other Chevy dealers and found that Phillips has lower prices and a bigger selection than any other dealer around me. Also, I can't say enough about my sales consultant...Steve Sorensen...he worked with me to get me a great price on a brand new Tahoe. Definitely will be going back!

Had them install a hitch on my 2008 Toyota Sienna. Great work on the install and they even helped mount a rack and trouble shoot it when the rack didn't fit correctly. My wife dealt with them as well and they were great with her too.

We purchased a used van that had had quite a few coffee spills to say the least and was extremely grungy from all the use it had seen throughout the years of hauling miscellaneous items (it was previously owned by a man who runs an auto parts store).  Needless to say it had a musty smell to the interior.  Since we wanted to use it to cart people around and not objects, we thought it best to find a place to have it detailed.
My first impression when I called Carsmart was phenomenal!  I spoke to Tom who went into extra detail about the process they perform and described how their policy is that they at least touch every square inch so as not to miss anything.  He also explained that they use a dry method of shampooing (can't remember the exact term) because using water can actually take longer to dry and may cause mildew afterward.  I had never had a vehicle detailed so I was grateful for the full explanations.  He gave me a quote over the phone after I explained in full to him what we had and was very flexible on appointment times.  We were asked to leave it for a full day as it would take about 5 hours to detail.  We were able to drop off the van after hours and leave the key in a key drop.
When my husband went to pick up the van, it was done on time and the man he spoke to was curtious.  We found out that it had taken them almost twice the amount of time it should have to detail!  That's how horrendous the interior was!  They had taken the extra time to get it as clean as possible instead of hurrying the job along.  And what's even better is that they stuck with their quoted price.  He said that I had warned him over the phone of how bad it was and that he was going to honor what he had told me.  When I finally saw the van after my husband brought it home, I was in shock!!!  It was not the same van!  A fresh clean scent rolled out of the van upon opening the door.  Though you could still tell that there had been stains in some areas (you simply cannot remove certain stains completely)  they had been significantly reduced to almost nothing and were barely noticeable.  Every hard surface was clean, every dial and knob had been meticulously cared for.  Even the seat belts were shiny and appeared new.  I definitely felt much better about breathing the air in that van!
I felt that they did an extremely thorough job and had great customer service.  If they went through the extra trouble to take care of such a ridiculously dirty van, then I know they will handle other vehicles with that great care.  I would recommend them to any of my friends and family and will definitely be bringing in our other vehicle which is smaller and way less beat-up.

About a year ago, I signed up for their $19.95 unlimited oil changes for a year. It cost me about $40, I want to say. I have no complaints about their actual service. They are SUPER quick, which is nice when you're on the go. The staff has always been friendly to me. The location itself can definitely get congested. I know from the direction I come from, I have to always make a U-Turn in Wal-Mart's parking lot down the road because you cant make a left hand turn into the place. but again, this is no fault of their own. The downside: Unless you are a member of this program, I find their oil change prices to be extremely high. The more I broke it down, the more I realized that this was never worth purchasing. I probably have done at most 5 oil changes with them. After the $40 initiation costs, it would have come out to about $28 an oil change. (5 oil changes at $20 each + $40 enrollment fee = $140 / 5 oil changes). This is about $8 more than two competitors by my house. If you put a lot of miles on your car and you get frequent changes, this may be a good buy. Again, service itself is good. I just think they are a little on the pricey side.

I used a coupon from the local penny saver for an oil change. The price is definitely competive - still not the cheapest oil change in town, but still a good price. The building itself is kind of old and dirty, but that is expected for a place like this. I really have no complaints other than the fact that the teenage workers were talking about drinking and ladies while I was in the waiting room. It wasn't particularly offensive to me as a mid-20's male, but I can see how someone else might have been offended.
