    At the start it went well. His team framed quickly. All of his workers were polite and trustworthy. The project started in August and we were able to move back in (albeit with covered floors, no granite or plumbing yet in kitchen and painting unfinished.) As soon as we moved in things slow down quickly. We were told it was because of the holiday and that made sense. By December 1 We had the kitchen in working order and while they were still things to be finished including painting and final details we were happy with the work. The problems really started after the holiday when we couldn���t get them back to finish the projects that remained. While punctuality had been a problem in the past, it didn���t bother us too badly as eventually they showed up and got the work done. However after the holiday we could not get them back. By this time the epoxy they had put in the garage had completely peeled and they had never finished putting the flooring on top of this tiered system we Had created in the garage. To date the top tier isn���t still plywood versus the flooring it was supposed to be and the garage floor has never been fixed. These items seemed small along with a few other things that we had wanted to get finished on the inside so we were patient for a long time. Every few months I would call or email Martin and he would promise that he would get out here asking me to understand how busy he was on some other job but he would never come. Once or twice he came by himself to see what needed to happen but never brought anybody to fix anything. To date all of these items remain undone. Things got more serious however when the tile they had laid in the new master bath started getting really loose. This tile was difficult for them from the gate and they had had to redo it once before we moved in the prior Thanksgiving. They of course blame the type of tile and never took ownership for the fact that they could never get it to line up properly. Martin Came once To fix one of the loose or tiles promising to return for the others but we have not seen him since. I have contacted him several times not so much for the work in the garage that was never finished or the trouble with the tiles in the master bath but rather for the front walkway and the stone patio in the back as the mortar they placed cracks all the time loosening the slates. At this moment in time I have pots on my front step so that people will not step where the slate has no mortar at all . I have had one stone guy out here before to fix it and another one coming this summer. Both have said the best they can do is patch it but what really needs to happen according to both of them is to rip it up and do it again as it was done so poorly. Despite all these issues eventually we just gave up trying to get Martin to stand behind his work and we chalked it up to lesson learned and resolved to be smarter in any future remodel. That all changed this summer. Starting tomorrow I need to replace the frames of every single new window and transom Martin and his team put in because they used interior wood and all of them have rotted. I will also have to do this on the three sliding glass doors as those frames as well have rotted. In addition the soffits were not vented properly and there is much rotting and a hole of about a foot on one side. In addition to fixing the frames around the windows we will also have to fix the vents in the soffits as well as the hole and tonight we will find out how much damage it would have caused to the new roof. Based on the lifting of some of the shingles there is at least some damage. I���m sure hoping I don���t need to replace the roof. What has me so upset is not just the fact that the work was not done properly but rather but he refuses to communicate and fix what should���ve been properly been done originally. This was an extensive remodel. It was not cheap. We were never late with payments. And even at the end when things were slowing down when asked for final payment because he needed the money to pay his guys we gave it to him. In hindsight this was absolutely a foolish decision on our part but we really liked Martin as a person and we trusted him as a contractor. It���s a unfortunate that the latter also turned out to be a mistake. I would not recommend using Martin for his team for any project. While I think they are capable of good work if any mistakes are made they will never stand behind it and you will be responsible financially for fixing any errors they may have made.

    We met with over 10 different contractors when we began planning for a sunroom addition. The job entailed blowing out the family room wall and building the room within the space of what was at the time extra garage space. Every contractor came in at least 10-15k OVER our budget, and some even said it wasn't possible, don't even consider it. Nick from Biango Construction wrote up a very fair proposal and stuck with the budget. My husband, to be honest, was not as eager as I was to pursue the project, so he asked Nick a lot of hard questions about the specifics of the addition -- how much higher the ceilings could be made, how much duct work, if any, would need to be moved around, and how we would seamlessly build a transition from our family room into the addition. Nick patiently addressed every single one of his concerns, and we were able to confidently proceed with the project. We pulled permits and Nick did not voice any objection to this (unlike MANY MANY MANY other contractors we've come across). I would say he was personally on site for 80-90% of the job, and the other times one or both of his two main assistants were there (Danny and Joel). I don't know how to put this without sounding impolite, but he and his crew speak perfect English. It was easy to communicate what we wanted and didn't want, which led to a positive outcome for all parties. The crew worked through the winter to complete the job. They set up barriers to minimize the amount of dust and debris in our garage and house. They were responsive to our on-the-fly changes/requests, such as figuring out a way to move the electrical and cable wires to a different wall -- the day AFTER drywall was put up! The project had unepexcted obstacles, but Nick has a real knack for problem solving that helped us solve each problem. Nick is a carpenter by trade, so he was able to cut some costs for us by custom building things, such as a custom built in bookshelf, which friends and family compliment us for everytime they see it. He also came up with an inexpensive way to install a beautiful paneled ceiling with beadboard, that really gives the room a unique look. His painter Ozzy and his crew are awesome, respectful, and clean. We didn't have any problems with any of the subs used for our project (HVAC, electrical, and drywall). We look forward to working with Nick and Biango Construction for our future projects!

    Attic Air was on time. They showed up with a four man crew including the owner and were complete in 2-3 hours. They blew in Pro Pink insulation into my 1200 SQF attic bringing it up from R15 to R49 rating ($1,560) They vented an existing bathroom fan out to the roof ($245). They cut out 5 holes in my gambrel roof and installed 5 soffit vents ($450). They added a 1250 CFM attic fan for $545. I paid $2,800 for the entire job. I noticed right away that the upstairs was a bit more comfortable in the winter. There used to be what felt like a 20 degree temperature differential between the first and second floors. Now it feels like more of a 10 degree difference. The attic fan keeps the attic cool in the summertime. That is the biggest improvement we have noticed in the home. All in all, this money is well spent and it will pay for itself in energy savings over time. I wouldn���t hesitate to use Attic Air again.

    We were very pleased with the work done by Newnam Restoration Services in repairing damage done by raccoons in our house. The service manager who came out to do the estimate was thorough, explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. We also appreciated that he worked well with the insurance adjustor. The crew who performed the work came on time and were very helpful in explaining procedures. They were very careful to cover things up with tarps to protect flooring and furniture. They worked steadily and finished the job even more quickly than expected. My inspection showed that the work was done to a high standard. Everything looked great. At the end, the crew cleaned up and left everything looking good. Throughout, the men were friendly and very responsive to my requests. They were also respectful of our cats, which meant a lot to us. All in all, Newnam Restoration Services delivered an excellent, professional job and got it done in good time. I am happy to recommend them highly!

The entire Top Notch crew is so easy to have around; they are polite, efficient and super CLEAN!!     The representatives arrived as scheduled, performed thorough evaluation of attic insulation/ mold issues (including thermal inspection), another evaluator checked the home for energy efficiency to see if we could qualify for rebates, technicians arrived as scheduled and did the work and clean-up. Very professional all the way through. They even took pictures of the completed work in the attic to show us so we wouldn't have to crawl up there.

    I would highly recommend 360 Improvements. We had them complete a remodel of our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. As such, we had a chance to see their workmanship in: carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, drywall, painting, electrical and plumbing. In all facets they did very well and they are very reasonably priced. Oscar and his staff work long hours to ensure timely completion and they do it with precision. We feel very fortunate to have found Oscar through Angie���s List.

    Called for a quote on a smaller job for a few downspouts that needed to be redone after some external house work. Got a hold of someone on the initial call, and was advised to send pictures to his email address prior to getting a quote. Was advised that I'd receive a quote shortly after receipt of the emailed photos. Well, that was a week ago; no further follow-up and on calling the company again, no one picks up. If you have to chase them down for a quote, what kind of service is going to happen if you actually pick them for a job. I can't imagine how they got the super service award at Angie's list. I was contacted by the company and was given a quote on the day this review was posted

Mike and his staff were very professional and extremely patient in guiding us through the process. The working crew arrived on time and performed the work even faster than promised.     We went with all their recommendations and were assured it would help are problems with humidity and temperature issues upstairs. The work took several weeks to complete due to total lack of communication between the company and the crew. The crew showed up asking what needed to be done because they had no idea. They didn't get the work done. They came back a few weeks later to complete the work once the attic fan came in that we ordered. On the second day he was supposed to install the attic fan and complete the rest of the work (which was quite a bit). The crew arrived and they told me that the attic fan I had purchased had failed 3 other times with other customers. I specifically had sent the model I was about to order from Costco to the company to make sure it was good to install and now I was being told it wasn't good. Then they attempted to install it in the attic and found there was another attic fan already there not knowing that the fan was supposed to be installed over the garage. They asked where it should be installed over the attic and somewhat questioned if that was going to be necessary and I have no way to answer that question and frankly its very upsetting to think that we are spending an exorbitant amount of money for something that is not necessary or is going to help our problem. After the fan was installed, he said okay that's it...when no other work had been attempted and he seemed to have no idea or no recollection the vast amount of work still needed to be completed even after I showed him everything. Then he suddenly remembered. I took him to our bathroom where the problem is still continuing with a hot area. He said he knows the insulation work was good, because he did it himself. I said I wasn't questioning his work and wanted to know if the attic fan was going to help this problem. He said maybe not...into which I replied then why am I spending thousands of dollars and taking a ton of time off of work and my schedule for all of this to not fix our problem. The next time they came they showed up 2 hours late. There was no apology. They said the owner couldn't make it to check the work that was to be done because he was stuck on traffic. We called the owner and he told us a different story so somebody lied to us. In the meantime the crew leader kept assuring us he knew what he was doing unlike the two crew guys he had hired. I also noted that the R-12 insulation that was done in the basement was really R-10 which was not told to us and I happened to see in the basement. He gave us a discount on the insulation but it's not what we ordered and now not as effective. The owner did a walk through with us on our house and was professional and had an explanation for all the issues. I don't think they explain how unprofessional everything was. There was no excuse for all the issues. Worst of all we still have a terrible humidity problem and upstairs temperature issues that were not solved when we were told what we were doing would improve or solve the issues.
