    Came home from a few days away and there was no heat in the house. Called Beery, and Kaleb called back. Said he'd be here in 60-90 minutes. He showed up in about 50. He worked quickly to diagnose the problem. Could have sold me on a new fan, but got it to work with just replacing the capacitor. I have a curious 7-yr old, and Kaleb let him hold the meter and read off numbers to him. Not cheap, but after hours, what do you expect? I appreciate the fast, competent work. Will definitely hire again.

    Timely, efficient, and a very fair price for the work compared to everyone else. We did run into one issue where our thermostat was reconnected incorrectly (something we didn't notice until a couple hours later), but the tech came right back out to correct it as soon as we called. Not thrilled about the snafu, but considering the quick and professional response I'm willing to forgive it, especially when considering the cost savings compared to the bigger name companies. Definitely plan on using Jake's again.

    At the start it went well. His team framed quickly. All of his workers were polite and trustworthy. The project started in August and we were able to move back in (albeit with covered floors, no granite or plumbing yet in kitchen and painting unfinished.) As soon as we moved in things slow down quickly. We were told it was because of the holiday and that made sense. By December 1 We had the kitchen in working order and while they were still things to be finished including painting and final details we were happy with the work. The problems really started after the holiday when we couldn���t get them back to finish the projects that remained. While punctuality had been a problem in the past, it didn���t bother us too badly as eventually they showed up and got the work done. However after the holiday we could not get them back. By this time the epoxy they had put in the garage had completely peeled and they had never finished putting the flooring on top of this tiered system we Had created in the garage. To date the top tier isn���t still plywood versus the flooring it was supposed to be and the garage floor has never been fixed. These items seemed small along with a few other things that we had wanted to get finished on the inside so we were patient for a long time. Every few months I would call or email Martin and he would promise that he would get out here asking me to understand how busy he was on some other job but he would never come. Once or twice he came by himself to see what needed to happen but never brought anybody to fix anything. To date all of these items remain undone. Things got more serious however when the tile they had laid in the new master bath started getting really loose. This tile was difficult for them from the gate and they had had to redo it once before we moved in the prior Thanksgiving. They of course blame the type of tile and never took ownership for the fact that they could never get it to line up properly. Martin Came once To fix one of the loose or tiles promising to return for the others but we have not seen him since. I have contacted him several times not so much for the work in the garage that was never finished or the trouble with the tiles in the master bath but rather for the front walkway and the stone patio in the back as the mortar they placed cracks all the time loosening the slates. At this moment in time I have pots on my front step so that people will not step where the slate has no mortar at all . I have had one stone guy out here before to fix it and another one coming this summer. Both have said the best they can do is patch it but what really needs to happen according to both of them is to rip it up and do it again as it was done so poorly. Despite all these issues eventually we just gave up trying to get Martin to stand behind his work and we chalked it up to lesson learned and resolved to be smarter in any future remodel. That all changed this summer. Starting tomorrow I need to replace the frames of every single new window and transom Martin and his team put in because they used interior wood and all of them have rotted. I will also have to do this on the three sliding glass doors as those frames as well have rotted. In addition the soffits were not vented properly and there is much rotting and a hole of about a foot on one side. In addition to fixing the frames around the windows we will also have to fix the vents in the soffits as well as the hole and tonight we will find out how much damage it would have caused to the new roof. Based on the lifting of some of the shingles there is at least some damage. I���m sure hoping I don���t need to replace the roof. What has me so upset is not just the fact that the work was not done properly but rather but he refuses to communicate and fix what should���ve been properly been done originally. This was an extensive remodel. It was not cheap. We were never late with payments. And even at the end when things were slowing down when asked for final payment because he needed the money to pay his guys we gave it to him. In hindsight this was absolutely a foolish decision on our part but we really liked Martin as a person and we trusted him as a contractor. It���s a unfortunate that the latter also turned out to be a mistake. I would not recommend using Martin for his team for any project. While I think they are capable of good work if any mistakes are made they will never stand behind it and you will be responsible financially for fixing any errors they may have made.

They were very "Professional" in all respects. They supplied me with a very Competitive Quote after our initial consultation, where I was given multiple options, each of which was explained in detail to allow me to make a educated decision. Mike was not a high pressure salesman at all. Mike and his crew performed the work exactly, when and for the price they quoted. They even followed up with us to be sure we were Happy afterwards!... My wife and I were so happy with them, we had them replace my Mother-in-laws Furnace and Air Conditioner shortly after our experience with them...Great Work Mike and your Crew!........Bob Rogus

    **Quick Summary: Great techs, but go in with a competing quote or prepare to be massively overcharged.** The tech was friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and very professional. He came in on time and everything appears to be in working order. I couldn't be happier with the work done. However, while I was quite happy with the tech, I'm leery of ARS on the whole due to the price. ARS *massively* overcharges for A/C installation. I was quoted at just under $4500 for a 2-ton unit, and I felt strong-armed into signing a contract right then and there by their "home comfort specialist". The only good thing I have to say about their price (and the only reason I didn't give them an F in the category) is that they are willing to price match. I was fortunate enough to find a competing quote that ARS matched, knocking $1255 off the price. It's nice that they do that, but the fact that they are that overpriced is concerning.
