    Bazan Painting Projects
All the projects went very well. The Ray and his team were very professional, responsive, and friendly. The painting work was beautifully done. The carpentry and drywall work was excellent. The pricing was extremely reasonable. I would hire Ray and his crew again in half a second and I would recommend these guys to anyone who needs professional quality work done on their home.

    Strahan Construction LLC
Strahan Construction redid our entire basement. They provided top notch consulting, electrical work, new lighting, and drywall work, as well as sourced and installed excellent cabinetry. Part of the rework was the design, build, and finish of a custom bar which turned out exactly how we wanted. Strahan also put us in contact with a flooring provider (epoxy covering for concrete) which turned out beautifully. We would definitely hire them for additional work.

    DOM79 inc
At the start it went well. His team framed quickly. All of his workers were polite and trustworthy. The project started in August and we were able to move back in (albeit with covered floors, no granite or plumbing yet in kitchen and painting unfinished.) As soon as we moved in things slow down quickly. We were told it was because of the holiday and that made sense. By December 1 We had the kitchen in working order and while they were still things to be finished including painting and final details we were happy with the work. The problems really started after the holiday when we couldnt get them back to finish the projects that remained. While punctuality had been a problem in the past, it didnt bother us too badly as eventually they showed up and got the work done. However after the holiday we could not get them back. By this time the epoxy they had put in the garage had completely peeled and they had never finished putting the flooring on top of this tiered system we Had created in the garage. To date the top tier isnt still plywood versus the flooring it was supposed to be and the garage floor has never been fixed. These items seemed small along with a few other things that we had wanted to get finished on the inside so we were patient for a long time. Every few months I would call or email Martin and he would promise that he would get out here asking me to understand how busy he was on some other job but he would never come. Once or twice he came by himself to see what needed to happen but never brought anybody to fix anything. To date all of these items remain undone. Things got more serious however when the tile they had laid in the new master bath started getting really loose. This tile was difficult for them from the gate and they had had to redo it once before we moved in the prior Thanksgiving. They of course blame the type of tile and never took ownership for the fact that they could never get it to line up properly. Martin Came once To fix one of the loose or tiles promising to return for the others but we have not seen him since. I have contacted him several times not so much for the work in the garage that was never finished or the trouble with the tiles in the master bath but rather for the front walkway and the stone patio in the back as the mortar they placed cracks all the time loosening the slates. At this moment in time I have pots on my front step so that people will not step where the slate has no mortar at all . I have had one stone guy out here before to fix it and another one coming this summer. Both have said the best they can do is patch it but what really needs to happen according to both of them is to rip it up and do it again as it was done so poorly. Despite all these issues eventually we just gave up trying to get Martin to stand behind his work and we chalked it up to lesson learned and resolved to be smarter in any future remodel. That all changed this summer. Starting tomorrow I need to replace the frames of every single new window and transom Martin and his team put in because they used interior wood and all of them have rotted. I will also have to do this on the three sliding glass doors as those frames as well have rotted. In addition the soffits were not vented properly and there is much rotting and a hole of about a foot on one side. In addition to fixing the frames around the windows we will also have to fix the vents in the soffits as well as the hole and tonight we will find out how much damage it would have caused to the new roof. Based on the lifting of some of the shingles there is at least some damage. Im sure hoping I dont need to replace the roof. What has me so upset is not just the fact that the work was not done properly but rather but he refuses to communicate and fix what shouldve been properly been done originally. This was an extensive remodel. It was not cheap. We were never late with payments. And even at the end when things were slowing down when asked for final payment because he needed the money to pay his guys we gave it to him. In hindsight this was absolutely a foolish decision on our part but we really liked Martin as a person and we trusted him as a contractor. Its a unfortunate that the latter also turned out to be a mistake. I would not recommend using Martin for his team for any project. While I think they are capable of good work if any mistakes are made they will never stand behind it and you will be responsible financially for fixing any errors they may have made.

    EISSNER ENTERPRISE
I had work done in 2011. I was promised a matched, finished paint job which was left as primer which I disputed. Also had to hire another electrician to fix outlets left not working by Eissner. The electrician opened open area not working to find a LIVE wire. Eissner sent my account to collections because i refused to pay the balance of $100. After collections contact me and I disputed, they dropped charges. I still had to pay for incomplete work with paint.

    Biango Construction
This will be the 2nd time we are working with Nick. They completely built out our finished basement with bath room and awesome custom made bar. He is by far a true craftsman with out question. Nick and his crew do fantastic work. Very clean professional, he handles all permits design and blue prints, so we are able to focus on the things we wanted to incorporate in the basement. Nick is quick on his feet to accommodate all are requests and concerns. He was great keeping up with all the changes we made along the way sorry Nick : ) We are so pleased with everything that was done. All I can say if you are planning on doing any type of home remodeling don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. We will not use anyone else from this point forward to do anything on our home. Nick's relationships with his sub contractors is great. Funny thing we hired them 1 year ago to remodel upstairs and all the same guys came to do the work. We got his name from a friend who uses Nick and he told us who worked on his house over 8 years ago and he had the same sub contractors then as he does now. That told me so much about Nick and his crew. We never had to worry who was in our home. Outstanding craftsmanship all the way around they really take pride in workmanship. Great job Nick and team.....

    High Quality Painting LLC
I hired Salvador's company after talking with and receiving quotes from 4 companies. Salvador is very responsive. Salvador did a great job managing difficult schedules and was great at keeping in touch through this process. Although the project complete was of high quality, I'm mainly writing this review to highlight Salvador's professionalism through a particularly difficult challenge. After the drywall work was complete, his first (of two) floor crews came in to complete the hardwood floor installation. This first crew was NOT professional and installed the floor without providing the remedial work to the sub-floor that was needed for a quality installation. I wasn't made aware of this until the entire floor was completed an I noticed "soft spots" in several areas. I called Salvador to discuss the situation that day. Rather than try to argue that the installation was acceptable or give me a discount, Salvador asked if there was another day he could come by to redo the complete installation and absorb all costs to do so. This is a sign of a service provider that understands the value of a happy customer. Because of his actions, not only will I hire him again, but will also advocate for and recommend his company to others. Salvador demonstrated a high degree of integrity and clearly a positive resolve.

    Nick's Home Remodeling
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Nick Martinez on a master bathroom with a steam shower remodel project. We would most definitely use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone considering a project. Background We had been planning this project for a few years. We spoke to no less than 5 contractors over that period of time. The first three contractors were turn-key, full-service design firms. It was uncanny how close those three companies came on price quotes (more on that later) and that the price was in the range of a new sports car. While these companies offer nice showrooms and hand-holding through the process, we felt that we had a pretty clear idea on what we wanted. We decided to look more at an a la carte approach where we pick the design and materials and sperate contractor to handle the installation. We had two contractors Nick and another - offer a price that was exactly the same to the penny. (Turns out they all subscribe to a database for estimates that uses project scope, square footage, and address to estimate a price. Thats why all of the contractors were close in pricing.) We decided to go with Nick for these reasons: - Portfolio of similar projects. His showcase of projects is excellent and similar to what we wanted. - Great references. His references raved about him and one even invited us to their house to see the work. - Superior knowledge. Nick obviously had a lot of experience and good ideas about our project. (I think hes older than he looks.) He was also the only contractor that recognized that our steam shower would be 220 volts and required special wiring. - Included Painting. Every other contractor required that we handle the painting separately. - Wholesale pricing on materials. Nick was agnostic about where we bought materials. But he has relationships with local suppliers. Most contractors have you pick your materials and then pay the contractor. Nick had us work directly with the suppliers and pay the supplier at his discounted wholesale rates. Some materials were more than 40% cheaper than retail. That was a huge unexpected saving on the overall project. We also used HomeDepot for some of the other basic materials. When the contract started, working with Nick and his team was a pleasure. An unexpected surprise was how he worked around our schedules. Nick arrived after we were done preparing for work. Then he would drape all of our furniture and carpeting to keep things clean. At the end of the day, Nick was usually done before we returned from work. All of his tools were moved out of the way and draped as well. Remodeling can be a huge inconvenience. Nick realized that we needed to live here and he worked hard to minimize the impact on our lives during construction. Another major factor in our satisfaction with Nick was that he had a lot of experience and ideas. He had suggestions about details that would really add to the projects appearance and usability. Minor details like slight slopes on sills so water would not pocket there, size and location of niches, penciling around tile edges, placement of lighting and shower fixtures, etc... And, because he was agnostic about the materials, we didnt feel that he was trying to push us one way or another to more make money. We had some additional side projects that we were able to get done at the same time. We felt that his pricing was fair and reasonable for those scope changes. Nick also accepted mobile payment (Chase Zelle) which was convenient. There was one setback that had to do with one of the suppliers. They didnt provide us with all of the right materials. The impact was that it set Nick back three days because materials needed to be special ordered before the project could proceed. Nick did not charge us for that delay. I think the way that he handled it was very professional. He even got the supplier to give us the extra materials ($600) for free because it was their mistake. We honestly felt that Nick had our best interest in mind. Hes called several times to check-in with us to see how things are going. We sincerely look forward to our next project with him. (Photo is before glass was installed. Shows the shower details better.)
