    CementWorks LLC
A few months ago we contacted a number of contractors to inspect our crumbling balconies for much needed repair. We decided on Cement Works, because they are very knowledgeable about balcony, brick repairs, and restoration. They took a sensible approach to repairing the balconies. Liz, Mark, Matt and Dan did a great job! We will have them back again next year.

    Strahan Construction LLC
I am lucky enough to have met Robert Strahan over 10 years ago when I moved to Naperville. If you want to know why I use Robert Strahan and Strahan Construction I can some it up in one short story. We had our sump pump go out on Labor Day 2018 during a downpour and called thought maybe Robert is around the area. He was out of town for the Holiday and said he was about 30 miles away but that he will be over in 45 minutes. He came in assessed the situation about 7:45 PM ran out to his farm to grab a replacement at 8 PM at night and completely fixed the situation by himself by 10 PM. I really can't say much more than that... Robert is "throw-back" builder/contractor. He is commitment to doing great work and helping making his customers happy no matter the issue. As his customer, I now consider myself to be his friend. We have used him for roofing, bathroom, basement, painting etc and he is 100% my go to on all things that are related to my home.

    Strahan Construction LLC
Strahan Construction redid our entire basement. They provided top notch consulting, electrical work, new lighting, and drywall work, as well as sourced and installed excellent cabinetry. Part of the rework was the design, build, and finish of a custom bar which turned out exactly how we wanted. Strahan also put us in contact with a flooring provider (epoxy covering for concrete) which turned out beautifully. We would definitely hire them for additional work.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
Thank you to Perma-Seal employees Fidel-Cristian and Jesus-Jose Munoz. A 20' section of my foundation wall was bowed in. The previous owners had paid Perma-Seal to anchor the wall so it wouldn't get worse. (They anchored it with 5 rods connecting big steel plates on the inside of the foundation to big steel plates buried in the ground ~10 feet out into the year.) I paid Perma-Seal an additional $4000 to trench the 20' along the outside of the foundation so they could tighten up the rods and straighten out some of the bowing. (It's amazing how much concrete will flex!) The crew worked hard - including digging the trench by hand so they could dig around the existing rods. Bottom line: They did not completely get rid of the bowing, but I'd say they took 75% of the bowing out of the wall (maybe 2-3 inches). it looks much better than it used to look, so I am happy.

    Biango Construction
This will be the 2nd time we are working with Nick. They completely built out our finished basement with bath room and awesome custom made bar. He is by far a true craftsman with out question. Nick and his crew do fantastic work. Very clean professional, he handles all permits design and blue prints, so we are able to focus on the things we wanted to incorporate in the basement. Nick is quick on his feet to accommodate all are requests and concerns. He was great keeping up with all the changes we made along the way sorry Nick : ) We are so pleased with everything that was done. All I can say if you are planning on doing any type of home remodeling don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. We will not use anyone else from this point forward to do anything on our home. Nick's relationships with his sub contractors is great. Funny thing we hired them 1 year ago to remodel upstairs and all the same guys came to do the work. We got his name from a friend who uses Nick and he told us who worked on his house over 8 years ago and he had the same sub contractors then as he does now. That told me so much about Nick and his crew. We never had to worry who was in our home. Outstanding craftsmanship all the way around they really take pride in workmanship. Great job Nick and team.....

    J&F Concrete Lifting
Great communication from getting the estimate all the way through the completion of the work. For every appointment, I would get a phone call in advance with a very reasonable time window. They did a very good job lifting one side of the garage floor without any cracks in the slab. Cleaned up everything at the end and the price was very good.

    Sebring Design Build
The Sebring team was great to work with on my recent home projects . We did a full remodel of the master bathroom and a partial remodel of our kitchen . The entire process from start to finish ran smoothly . Brian and Linda helped build a plan around my vision and budget and Phil managed the project flawlessly. The entire team is talented , experienced and professional. I would highly recommend working with the Sebring team. They are focused on quality and meeting their customers expectations.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
. Our sewer drain was backed up so based on the generally good reviews, we called Roto Rooter to come out. They would not give an estimate over the phone, but as soon as the tech got here, I showed him the cleanout located in the basement and he quoted $495. That sounded high, but since they were there and I had found a $55 coupon, we went ahead. The tech started with a wider blade but then switched to a narrower blade to make the rodding faster. Then a second person surprisingly arrived with a camera to scan the pipe. He showed that the pipe was corroded and after about 10 feet the picture went black. He explained the camera was covered with sludge so we could not see. He ran the camera (including locator) to the main sewer and claimed the line was full of sludge and could only be cleared by installing a clean out. To install a clean out with a sewer line 9 feet deep and to jet clean the line, they quoted $8900 and could come out the next day. We thought that seemed unusually high, but since Roto Rooter is rated highly and thought of as reputable, we figured that was a reasonable cost. In hindsight, that was a big mistake. The next day two guys came out with a small excavator and dug a 4 by 8 hole about 9 deep and installed the cleanout in 3-4 hours. It was not nearly as big a deal as they made it sound. Also, the drain pipe segment that was cut out about 20 in front of the house had corrosion but nothing like full of sludge they claimed. This leads to me believe that the clean out was not even necessary. The previous day the techs did not run water to see if the blockage was cleared, or if needed, use a wider blade, to make sure the clean out was really needed. I feel we were deceived and rushed into having the clean out installed and way overcharged for it. After I complained, the best Roto Rooter would do was to refund the $440 rodding charge. I am not close to satisfied and hope sharing my experience will bring awareness to others. I would strongly encourage getting other quotes before using Roto Rooter The work was done at the end of July. A week or so ago in late September, we noticed the sewer backed up enough for some water to come out the drain and then go back down. It was not clogged like the first time but it did show me that putting in the clean out did not totally resolve the problem and there is still some blockage from the house to the sewer pipe below the house.

    Waterproof4Less, Inc.
Dave Bean expertly repaired my foundation cracks and cove that were streaming water with every rain. He sealed the first 3 foot long crack with an amazing epoxy product and it has been bone dry since the application more than 1 year ago. I called him back this year to repair a long stretch of cove with the same product and again I am extremely happy and satisfied with the results. Before I hired Dave, I had quotes from two well-known waterproofing companies for several thousand dollars each! who wanted to tear up the whole perimeter of my basement to install drains and pipes ..like major work which, in the end was never needed. I honestly feel those companies were trying to take advantage of the situation, and me. After Dave's work, my basement has remained absolutely dry; no more damp basement smell. The repaired cracks and cove never, ever leak even after heavy rainfall. Dave really is an expert at what he does and has the expertise in using this particular wonderful product . He's efficient, prompt, and his fees are very, very reasonable, and, not the least, he is a friendly, knowledgeable gentleman.
