    My daughter just bought a brand new car when suddenly their TV broke and they needed a new one. So, we loaded the large, old TV in the back of he new SUV. I noticed the bumper had a large paint chip probably caused by loading the old TV. We went to Crystal Shine Body Shop in Plainfield and met with the owner, John Carmona. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He also talked me through a few options of what we could do to fix the problem. I found all of the staff to be just as friendly and helpful. The work done on my daughters car was beautiful. It has been restored to how it looked when she first bought it. I also thought I was given a fair price and the work was completed in a timely manner. It is the obvious that the owner, John, takes great pride in his team's work. Finding a business like Crystal Shine that delivers a high quality product at a very reasonable price is like striking gold!

    I brought my 2008 Jetta GLI to Dom on a recommendation from a friend. Dom gave me a straight answer on the costs and dealt with the other driver's insurance for any overages. Ultimately he made the accident damage go away. He worked with a mechanical shop to fix the alignment, and got it running dead straight. There were a few minor touch ups that needed to be done after I picked up the car. Dom immediately recognized the issues and got it dealt with at a time that was convenient for me. Overall his work and professionalism showed that he's been in business for 26 years for good reason. I would use him again, especially for cosmetic damage.

    I took the car in about 3 weeks in advance, with sample photos of the custom painted rally stripes i wanted.  I was given a very detailed estimate and explanation of how they would do it.  I picked out the color for the stripes and dropped the car off a few weeks later.  Took about 8 days to complete (as expected).  The workmanship is amazing!  I'm extremely pleased with the outcome.  They are probably not the cheapest, but I truly believe the quality is worth it.

    BEWARE ** We first called them on 8/17 to ask how much it would be to replace the seat belt assembly on our car. We gave them the vin number of our vehicle. They said it would cost $256 and that we would need to prepay since they needed to order the part. We prepaid and were told they would contact us when the part arrived to schedule installation. They called us today (8/19) and said the part was in but they had the wrong price in their system and that it would now cost us $333?!? I told them we would not pay that much and that either they needed to reverse the charge on our card or we would dispute it. They said they would only refund the charges if they could return it to the manufacturer. They ended up being able to return it so there was no need to dispute the charge but I cannot believe they felt this bait and switch type tactic was acceptable. At the very least they could have called me when they placed the order with the manufacturer to ask if we still wanted to continue with the order. They did say their paperwork states that parts prices are subject to change but that doesn't help when you place the order over the phone and they don't say anything about that when they quote the price!! I would venture to guess this is stated in some fine print and they don't let you know up front in person either. I would never use them again and would recommend others be wary about the accuracy of the prices they quote.

    I recently purchased a 2013 Camaro. A few weeks ago, I realized that the side mirror was falling off.  Apparently, the side mirror had been hit, the door was also damaged.  The previous owner (or dealership, who knows?) used glue to reattach the mirror and did a pretty poor job of fixing the door.  Countryside Customs explained to me exactly how they would address the problem, did a wonderful job, and kept me informed the entire time.  I'm extremely pleased with the results, and plan to take my car back to them for rally stripes.

    They did a fantastic job.  They used some parts and they gave a lifetime warranty.  The hard part is that they are really busy so it took a while to get our car in.  But once you?re in, they do a good job and they finish up early.  They never did damage to my car.

    I was very impressed with this Bob Carter.  Initial assessment of damage was thourough and very satisfying to me.  These people impress you that they are competent an proffesional.  Indeed:  work completed was excellent and I felt like I was receiving personal attention.  The parts that were ordered from the automaker arrived damaged and this resulted in a short delay in the quoted time of repair but this was not a big deal as I want the repair done right the first time and it was.  Would highly recommend this business.  They give personal attention.  They are professional and well qualified.  No issues were encountered working with my insurance company (State Farm).  They back up their repair with lifetime warranty of their work/paint/repair.

    I had a minor accident with my car, an older Lincoln Town Car. The front fender and grill were damaged pretty bad and I was worried that the repair would involve replacing these two components plus the trim on both. That would have been  a lot of money, and might have forced me to consider getting rid of the car, which I have had for 17 years.
    I was pleasantly surprised that Bob Carter Auto Body still did body repair work separate from just replacement of fenders and other parts. They removed the fender, straightened it, painted it, to include matching the pin stripe,smoothed out  and repainted the  scrapes on the fender and put everything back together. This took five days and when it was completed it was like new.
    I later received a detailed warranty in the mail that is very inclusive of the work done.
    I would highly recommend Bob Carter Auto Body, especially when a job involves hand craftsmanship, not just replacing fenders.
