    Gorski Construction & Remodeling
Gorski contruction did an entire house remodel in 5 weeks including creating a new bath from a closet, remodel 2 existing baths, replace whole home flooring and moldings in entire 1600 square foot home, new trim, window replacements, installation of new French door patio door and front door, painting entire home and complete kitchen remodel with white shaker solid wood soft close cabinets with roll out shelves and all the bells and whistles and quartz countertop with custom breakfast bar. The entire house looks like it was in Better Homes and Garden magazine. The price was very reasonable. The crew was on time every day and even worked a few Saturday's to meet deadline. Plumbing, electrical, tiling (difficult patterned glass tile in 3 baths), all new vanities, lighting, toilets, kitchen backsplash and new build of electric fireplace surround, painting and kitchen cabinet installation was all done professionally, on time, on budget with quality cabinets with soft close doors/drawers solid wood with roll-out shelving and hand scraped laminate throughout the home. The work was A+. The crew was courteous, worked to solve any issues including moving vents and building the fireplace and cabinets custom. They were always on time and work tirelessly and always cleaned up. Work was excellent and Jesse was very flexible and met and exceeded expectations. The home is a showplace. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Gorski construction. Jesse Gorski is a full service contractor and provides all plumbing, floor installation, window installation, fence installation, electrical and general construction (including removing walls). He accommodated all our requests and some were very difficult. The cost included all kitchen cabinets, paint, construction materials, quartz countertops and flooring,. We provided the vanities, bath and lighting fixtures, tub and tile. You will be delighted with this contractor. See our pictures, they don't really do it justice.

    Aronson Fence Co Inc
My initial contact with the company was very good. Paul was the salesman that came to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and professional and was very good about following up with me after his initial estimate. Paul was also very helpful providing me different quotes for different styles of fence and options to tailor the job to our needs. After putting a deposit down on the job, I was told install was about 2 to 3 weeks out, which was fine. I never heard from anyone from the company after that. After over 4 weeks with no updates or being scheduled, I called them and asked for the status. The office staff was friendly and polite and checked into things for me. They advised me that the village had not gotten back to them about my work permit and that they would follow up with them. This didn't make me super happy because I would have thought they would have kept an eye on my file since I put a deposit down on the work, instead of just letting it collect dust and not checking with the village for a status on my permit until I asked where my fence was. They called me back about an hour later and told me the permit was ready and wanted to schedule the job for the following week. As the time approached, they ended up needing to call to push the job back a day due to weather, which was understandable. The crew came the following day, arrived on time, met with me to discuss the project, and began working right away. However, they ended up leaving at the end of the day, with no fence up, only posts. They did not talk to my wife prior to leaving to let her know what was happening and just packed up and left on the Friday afternoon. We didn't get a phone call until about 11am the following day from the company advising us that they would be back after the weekend to finish the project due to it raining that Saturday. I wish we had known that it was going to be more than a 1 day project, which was never mentioned to us. I would have been fine with it, because I don't want to rush the crew or have unrealistic expectations, but it would have been nice just to have known instead of figuring it out as it happened. Overall, the crew was polite and respectful of my property. They seemed to have done a good job installing the fence and cleaned up after themselves. I would give this company a chance to bid on future jobs, because their price and work was good. However, just know that you may have to stay on top of them to get your job on the schedule or you may fall to the back burner. The job that I was told would be done in 2 to 3 weeks ended up not being completed until almost 6 weeks.

Very quick response to request for estimate. I had to delay work because I needed time to clear away bushes and other growth in work area. They were very accommodating in re-scheduling work. During the actual installation, both employees worked very hard to get the job done in a timely fashion. I'm very satisfied with the quality and appearance of the fence.

    Action Fence Contractors Inc
Sent an email to Action on their website on Sept. 22nd. and they contacted me shortly afterward. wrote up an estimate and took $1000 downpayment for installation of the new fence in early Spring, 2018. Action called me a week before and let me know that would be starting the fence work the following week. The process was explained as the project moved forward. It took them 2 1/2 days to complete the entire project.

    Woodmaster Fence
Rick Manderscheid came to my home a week ago to see what repairs were needed. He was very thorough and professional, and his final cost estimate was less than I expected.  He could have  inflated the cost and I wouldn't have known, but he was
honest and ethical, qualities I value highly.
The work was done yesterday and it looks great.  The posts he replaced were set in concrete, far superior to repair work I had done last year by someone else. All of the old damaged materials were taken down and hauled away.

I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again whenever the need arises.

    Aspen Fence Co
At first I received two quotes, 1 from Aspen Fence and 1 from Golden Fence. In hind site I should have used Golden Fence. (sorry Golden Fence)
I picked Aspen Fence because their proposal looked to be more professional, so I justified the extra $250 that they were because of that.
The problem was that I had two gates on the project and Golden Fence included 4x6 posts on BOTH gates and Aspen didn't include any  larger posts on either gate. I spoke with Jeff at Aspen and he wanted to charge me extra for adding the larger posts and I had to twist his arm to up-size the posts at ONE gate for no extra charge.
Then Jeff called me 12 hours before his guys were going to show up and asked me if I got the permit when I was under the impression he was getting the permit so I had to pay extra for that and I had to pull favor with the village to expidite it thru the system.
Then when the guys showed up the asked my wife "where do you want us to put the dirt from the holes". WHAT??? Since when does a contractor give you a price to make holes and a mess and ask you where to put the spoils? I've been in construction and construction project management for 30+ years, I've NEVER had a contractor ask me where to put the trash and spoils they generate. You make it you take it! So I called Jeff to ask him his thought on that and he said "well we never take the dirt away, we usually spread it around the property where the customer wants it". He told me he would charge me extra to take the dirt away ($7/hole) and I had something like 22 holes so he wanted to charge me another $150 to take his trash away.
I informed him he should've spelled that out on his quote and he said I was the first to have a problem with it.
Needless to say I wasn't blown away with the whole "Aspen experience" and I would caution anyone considering using them. If you're getting a bid from them NAIL THEM DOWN IN WRITING about EVERYTHING!!!! Time, duration, drawings, details, permits, spoils, layout........
The workmanship was fine and they did come back out to fix some things free of charge but I just wanted to share my experience.
Good luck and God bless to you all.

These guys were great. Mike came out to give us an estimate on the same day we called 4/18/2014 and all work was completed on 5/8/2014. We also had some issues with a neighbor yelling and screaming at them for placing this fence but they handled it very professionally. I would definitely hire them again for any future work. I wish they replaced decks!

    Universal Fence
Universal fence came out and gave me an estimate. I received three other estimates as well. I decided on another contractor at first(they had a lower bid) but then received a follow up call by universal fence. He explained to me why I should choose his company ( building materials/ built on site fencing etc.) and met the price of the lowest bid. So I decided to sign a contract with Universal Fence. They came out on the scheduled time, pulled all the permits, and had the appropriate inspectors show up later to inspect the job. After completion I couldn't be happier! As a side note about 4 months later I noticed some of the boards were warping. I notified the Universal fence and they came right out and fixed it, no problem! Once again I couldn't be happier with my fence! I highly recommend Universal fence.

    Aztec Fence Inc
Ernie came out to give me an estimate.  We talked about the problems I had with our old fence posts rotting and breaking. Because my neighborhood requires wood fences, he suggested using metal posts that would get hidden by wood slats.  The posts would get set in cement.  This added $1000 to the cost of the fence but was the solution we had been looking for.  Ernie went to the Village to check on a couple of fence related questions for us.  He called later that day with the answers.  I did get estimates from 2 other contractors.  The prices were all within a couple of hundred dollars.  Even though Aztec's price was the best, I selected Aztec because of Ernie.
Aztec took care of the Village building permit.  Not all the contractors that I talked to offered to do this.
The 2-man crew arrived when expected on a very cold and windy day.  The job took two days.  The first day they took down the old fence, dug the holes for the posts, and set the posts in the cement.  The second day they built the fence.  They were very friendly and easy to work with.  The fence looks very nice.  We have received lots of compliments from many neighbors.  Our fence is very obvious because we live on a corner.
They forgot to send one piece of equipment for one of the gates with the work crew.  This piece was installed the next week.  This took a little longer than I had hoped but everyone that I talked to at Aztec was very friendly.
They reminded me that the fence is under warranty for two years so to be sure to call with any problems.

    Durabilt Fence Inc
The Rep was extremely professional and punctual.  He was happy to meet with us on two different occasions to discuss our options and was honest about us not needing to replace the entire fence around our yard at this time since it was still in good shape.  He came up with ideas on how to tie in the new privacy fence along the back lot line so it matched the existing fence that wasn't going to be replaced.  Durabilt was the only company who was honest with us about being able to postpone replacing the entire fence.  We did want a privacy fence along the back but we ended up going with another company for that simply because they had more reviews on Angie's List.  We've had so many problems with that other company we now regret our decision to not go with Durabilt.
When the time comes to replace the rest of the fence around our yard I will not hesitate to hire Durabilt for the job.
