    George Krinninger & Sons Inc
Michael Krinninger and helper AJ came at the prescribed time. Mike and AJ were very friendly and knowledgeable. They removed the old door and installed the new door in less than an hour. The fit and adjustments were excellent. Michael explained how the old storm door was improperly installed because of my front door being sized wrong.

    Budget Right Handyman
Andrew S. was phenomenal. We'll be requesting him for each project going forward. He was on time, picked up a kid-proof replacement outlet without us asking and was the nicest guy answering all of our questions and really went above and beyond.

    RF Improvements Inc
RF Improvements does quality work! Estimates are accurate both on pricing and time required. This job was squeezed in between Thanksgiving and Christmas and was completed a day earlier than expected. Work included moving a wall to expand the bathroom into an existing closet, closing off an existing door into the bathroom, replacing existing tub with a larger one, replacing vanity, replacing medicine cabinet, retiling floor and walls, replacing the closet system, and rearranging laundry room with added countertop and shelves. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail exceed expectations and they are a pleasure to work with. This is the second project I have done with them and I recommend them highly.

The entire house looks like it was in Better Homes and Garden magazine. The price was very reasonable. The crew was on time every day and even worked a few Saturday's to meet deadline. Plumbing, electrical, tiling (difficult patterned glass tile in 3 baths), all new vanities, lighting, toilets, kitchen backsplash and new build of electric fireplace surround, painting and kitchen cabinet installation was all done professionally, on time, on budget with quality cabinets with soft close doors/drawers solid wood with roll-out shelving and hand scraped laminate throughout the home. The work was A+. The crew was courteous, worked to solve any issues including moving vents and building the fireplace and cabinets custom. They were always on time and work tirelessly and always cleaned up. Work was excellent and Jesse was very flexible and met and exceeded expectations. The home is a showplace. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Gorski construction. Jesse Gorski is a full service contractor and provides all plumbing, floor installation, window installation, fence installation, electrical and general construction (including removing walls). He accommodated all our requests and some were very difficult. The cost included all kitchen cabinets, paint, construction materials, quartz countertops and flooring,. We provided the vanities, bath and lighting fixtures, tub and tile. You will be delighted with this contractor. See our pictures, they don't really do it justice.

    Chicago Window Guy
The job was really well done. He's pretty flexible and has reasonable pricing. Great quality work and the door functions exactly as it's supposed to in order to keep out rain, the doors he installed are as waterproof as you can get for a basement door that is in a well.

    Sahara Window and Doors
Steve was very nice and seemed excited to help us with our front entry door project. He left brochures with a promise to have a quotation the next week. Its been 3 weeks today and we finally chose another company. If anyone asks, why not call. I am not a fan of begging a company to take my money.

    HoMedic Remodeling
The garage windows were not replaced on the day I scheduled HoMedic to come. I was told the replacement windows I had bought were the wrong size and would require extensive cutting into and repair of the garage vinyl siding, plus construction of completely new cases. I was told I needed to order custom windows and that the replacement could not happen that day. HoMedic then quoted me a much more expensive, separate estimate to do the window project that obviously would not be part of the Angie's List deal. Also, HoMedic (two employees) arrived late for the appointment, and since they wouldn't do what I brought them in for, I didn't have enough other work to fill the time. They performed the other items on my list, but I ended up getting roughly 5 hours of labor instead of the 8 that were in the deal. I asked them afterward if they would return to make up for the missing time, and they refused, saying that all the services had to be performed in one visit. (I checked, and this requirement is not stated in the deal fine print.) A couple of days after their visit, I had another contractor look at the garage windows. He told me that the ones I bought were a near-perfect fit and that he could pop the old ones out and the new ones in with no problem. He was able to do this in THREE HOURS, BY HIMSELF, and no cutting into the siding or rebuilding of the window cases was necessary. All he had to do was install one piece of 1" x 3" under each window to form a sill because there was a 1" gap. I feel that I was misled by HoMedic and that they tried to convince me that my plan for replacing the windows wouldn't work because they were trying sell me a much more expensive solution at their full, non-discounted rate. A caveat to everyone who considers an Angie's List online deal for "x" hours of labor: Be VERY CAREFUL of what you ask the vendor to do, and make sure you have more than enough simple, straightforward jobs to fill the time. Otherwise you will not get a "deal" at all.

    Handyman Solutions Inc
He was very polite, professional, and neat.  He inquired as to what was to be done and then proceeded to complete them in the most efficient manner possible (spackle ceiling and install disposal while spackle dried). He then painted the ceiling  and installed the garage door opener while the paint dried to see if another coat would be necessary.  He was very careful to be as neat as possible and cleaned up after himself with each task.
Once done with a task, he would simply ask what else I needed done. I would definitely have them back to work on my house again.

    Zigman Construction & Remodeling
Contacted various builders on Angie's list to see if they could install in-wall automatic dog door (Laundry room). Majority of responses received read, "we do not do that type of work, sorry."    One builder was willing to do the work, but he wanted pictures and all communication was via text. Zigman construction replied immediately via a phone call and then came out on a Sunday to view the area we wanted the door installed and answered all questions and also gave suggestions.   Once we ordered the door, we contacted Mr. Zigman and scheduled install date.  They arrived promptly on scheduled date and time.  Mr. Zigman suggested the mini roof on the outside of the dog door which they built on site. They also built the dog ramp on site.  We were lucky to find Zigman Construction.  We will be using Zigman in the future for other home projects.
