    He had my medical records for past 20 some odd years. I walk in and I don't even have to say my name. He is good. He understands whatever the situation, like whatever my concerns are. Availability, usually it is a week or two out at the maximum. Office environment, they just remodel so it is actually excellent. They remodeled and painted and had rooms redone. Staff are great. I like them. One of the them retired recently so there is a new one there. The kids . or whatever. His bedside manner is the same as his general conversation. When I had blood tests done he will call and tell me what needs to be done or he will leave them. I have had no problems under his supervision. His billing procedure is very fine.

    My first visit to this office, and I was very pleased with the entire experience.  Very punctual, organized, and great staff.  I would definitely recommend and will use this group again if needed.

    This is one of our all time worst experiences in an emergency room. We arrived around 7 pm and basically my husband sat in a bed and spit his saliva into a plastic pan. The emergency room doctor was consulting by phone with a specialist. They gave my husband a muscle relaxer which didn't work. Then they gave him vallium, which didn't work. Then they gave him the first muscle relaxer which hadn't worked again. And again it didn't work. About 1 am they put him a room and said the procedure to remove the food would be done around 6 am. At 8:30 am they finally removed what was left of the food. For this they charged us, after insurance, our responsibility, $4700. Today we got another bill in the mail for $598 for the doctor that actually removed the piece of food. So we have to pay Silver Cross $4700 for giving my husband a bed and plastic pan to spit into for 15 hours. My 13 year old could have done the same thing for free. We will never go to this emergency room again!!!!!!!!!!

    I had waited two months for the initial appointment with Dr. Stankiewicz. The initial visit included an extensive history taken by a resident, review of the history by Dr. Stankiewicz himself, an initial endoscopy of the sinuses to evaluate my current condition, and a review of a CT that I had brought with me to the appointment. He did advise surgery and ordered additional labs and a second CT since the one I had brought in was 2 months old. The surgery was scheduled and went without a hitch. At this point, I had been suffering from severe sinus congestion and infection for 10 months. Post-op, I had taken several courses of antibiotics and steroids. The infection was still present. Two stents were then placed in the frontal sinus. The first was a plain stent which did little. The second was a Kenalog eluting stent which was the first Dr. Stantiewicz had ever placed. At this point,with one more course of antibiotics and steriods the sinus remained open. I guess you can say, after 5 months of surgery and treatment, I am a satisified patient. With the stellar reputation Dr.Stankiewicz has, he remains a "common man." He has no "attitiude" and you can tell his staff feels very comfortable in working with him. He is able to keep very much to schedule and if he does run a couple of minutes late always apoligizes. I was reluctant to go to a university setting thinking I would be a "little fish in a big pond." That was not the case at all. In fact, I feel the care at Loyola, both office and outpatient surgery, was better and more personal than what I would have received at my local suburban hospital. Loyola's billing department is another case. I am a nurse and was told by one of my patients that they loved the Loyola system but left because of the billing. I can very well see that he was right. My account was sent to a collection agency when I had a $753 credit! It was quickly remedied when I stopped at patient accounts but it was a trip that should have been necessary. Overall, I am very happy with Dr. Stankiewicz and Loyola Outpatient Surgery. Not very happy with the Loyola Billing Dept. They did, though, once I stopped by patient accounts get everything straightend out very quickly.

    He is very knowledgeable. He explains all procedures very well and shows concerns for his patients. When you visit him for an appointment he spends time with his patients to really listen to their concerns. He is not condescending and the kind of person you would want as a cardiologist. The staff is great as well, they do what it takes to get the answers you need. They are all very patient oriented.
