    Marissa Macias
Marissa is amazing!  In just one session she was able to get both of my legs to straighten and get rotation back in my shoulder.  Her work is completely painless.  It is called neurokinetic therapy (NKT).  It works with places in the body where the communication process has gotten confused because of injuries, surgeries, etc.  Her prices are very reasonable.  I was able to get function back in places that doing physical therapy 3 times per week for a full year hadn't been able to achieve.  Highly recommend to anyone who has body pain that exercise, physical therapy, or other therapies haven't been able to help.  Her office is in a down stairs office that doesn't have an elevator, so you much be able to walk down a flight of stairs.

    PEPPERMINT PRESCHOOL
I enrolled my toddler in Peppermint for socialization.  The teachers are great and the facility is clean and safe.  I find my toddler is getting exposed to more positive learning activities than I have time to do with her as a working mom.  She dances, she paints, she sings, and her vocabulary is ever expanding.  She cried the first few weeks when I left, and now when I drop her off she runs to play with friends.  I'm very happy with Peppermint.

    Sebastian, Laura J.
This body work is done fully clothed. She makes very gentle movements of your body to re-educate it for proper movement. I had a displaced ulna which I had been treated for the pain by 2 other doctors. These others doctors only treated the pain. Laura found that the ulna was displaced and was able to gently and painlessly move it back into place. I have severe low back pain and she has been able to significantly reduce that pain in just a few weeks of treatment. She also gives you very simple exercises to do at home. I have had a ton of body work, chiropractic, rolfing, acupunture, core energetics, etc. I love how painless, gentle and easy Feldenkrais body work is.

    Athletico
Since I needed an occupational therapist, I had to make a drive to Grayslake - which was not the closest Athletico to my home. It was well worth the drive, as the Grayslake location has a top-notch occupational therapist! I got 9 sessions with the therapist, and my pain level went from an 8 out of 10, to a 2 out of 10 in both hands.
Each session consisted of treatment with a parafin bath, ultrasound, massage, and exercises - lasting an hour. On the first visit, I got neoprene splints for both hands (for use when I needed more manual dexterity), plus a hard plastic splint fitted to my right hand. This splint is expensive, so I got only one to see if it worked. I found the hard plastic splint to be very effective (I even wore it to bed!), so I got one for my left hand on the 2nd visit. The therapist worked with me each session to be sure the hard splints fit properly.
I got lots of advice on how to minimize my pain, at-home treatments and exercises, plus suggestions of what activities would be okay to do and which ones should be avoided.
All in all, it was well worth the time, effort and money....

    DeHaan, Dr. Paul H
I like him because we can joke back and forth. He is a trap shooter, and we get along just great. He is extremely knowledgeable, he is an extremely good craftsman or surgeon, and I think he is just great. We laugh half the time that we are together.

    Cox, John W
I felt a little rushed because he moved from subject to subject so quickly, but everyone in his office is very friendly, patient, and helpful.

    Reiser, Dr. Kenneth
He is very friendly and obviously cares about his clients.  He offers many different kinds of treatments in addition to adjustments to assist in healing different issues.

    Reiser, Dr. Kenneth
I've gone to Dr. Reiser many times over the last 2 years.  He has other treatments (like tens and massage) if the chiropractic isn't enough.
