    Exterior Renovations By Kyle Gross
Kyle was great! Very nice, professional. He told me that he was booked 3-4 weeks out, but when I explained my situation and need to have it done quickly, he worked my project into his already busy schedule. Ive already discussed a couple other projects that I will hire him for in the near future.

    Bilmar Construction
Well... I would absolutely use Bilmar, Inc. again. Without a doubt. They came into a bad situation I was having and I really needed help. They took care of me! Besides the disaster with our home in 2017, they had finish the basement of our current home and the prior home.

    Bilmar Construction
The entire process was easy. Bilmar took over from a bad contractor and my home was in disarray. Nothing was completely done including the demo portion. They had to come in pick up the pieces figure out was still needed to be done and make repairs from the previous contract's work. Bilmar is professional, straight forward, no sales pressure, very easy to work with, trustworthy, keeps you informed every step of the way and will make suggestions for improvement. The workmanship is outstanding. It is currently mid-May and we are nearing completion. It's obvious to see that the owner and associates are passionate about their work and will use Bilmar for all future work in their scope. I will be posting pictures.

    LDR Cleaning & Restoration
Our home was damaged from a gas explosion of a neighbor's home on June 11th, 2017. I found LDR in Rockford on State Farms website. On June 23, 2017 we entered into an agreement and were clear that our siding company was to be used, we had replacement coverage therefore the same material must be used unless discussed with me and that I receive a schedule for repairs. LDR and State Farm discussed the job and they agreed upon a completion date of November 30th, 2017. State Farm sent an email confirming this on August 1, 2017 to LDR and me. I requested a schedule numerous times but LDR would not issue one. Their workers and/or sub-contractors failed to show when expected, used the incorrect replacement material from what was currently in place, did not use material stated in their own quote that was mandatory city code, missed repairing a cracked 2x4 in the wall that was called out in the Architectural drawing, did not finish the demo leaving the screws and nails in the 2x4s, and nails, staples and tack strip on the sub-flooring. Our Banks inspector deemed the house at 16% complete in January 2018, seven months after the explosion and they had received a total of 45,884.18 the beginning of August 2017. Once the agreement was dissolved, LDR sent me a final invoice for 58,998.87. The bill included work/services that were not done, were not completely done, were not done to code (as indicated by the City when they received the permit), billed for materials based on the estimate than what was actually used, and billed for a cancelled purchase order from Home Depot. We had missing items and items damaged by LDR. Out of the 45,884.18 they have only done 28,897.60 (our current contractor still thinks that its too high) leaving 16,986.58 to be credited. The insurance company will not cover any rental expense passed March 30th, 2018 and we will still be out of our home April and possible May of 2018. Based on this experience, LDR seems to be doing a bait and switch with agreed up work/material, trying to get money for work not done. They made decisions to make changes that was not theirs to make, cut corners with less skilled people (their failed attempt to put in windows), billing for work that was not performed or finished. It is bad enough that people go through a terrible and frightening tragedy that turns their life upside down only to fall prey to a construction company that is conducting what seems like fraudulent business practices creating another level of stress and anguish.

    RFB A Complete Drywall Co
Beginning with the initial quote, every part of the job was done right.
We are very pleased with how Rob and his crew did the work.
I had a chance to put finish paint on walls in 2 rooms now.  The ultimate challenge of a proper drywall and mud job is how the inside corners are.  These are crisp and perfect.  Field imperfections, when found and there are not many, are very small.
These are pro's who take pride in their work and that shows.
We recommend Rob and his crew highly.  When presented in the future with any drywall needs we will not hesitate to call them up and ask for some help!

    The Painters
I was quoted 2 days to finish the job, but it was finished the first day. As far as price, I didn't really shop around. The owner of the company struck me as very reputable and honest so I hired him right away. Everything was cleaned up before they left.

    House Smart Remodeling
We were very happy from the start of the project to the end.  Chris went above and beyond what we expected!  The project was reviewed with us in detail prior to starting and there were not any surprises.  The project stayed on task, they were very professional and worked around our sometimes crazy household!  I never worried about the language or actions of the crew around our children which from past experiences have been an issue.  Also, not only did Chris spend alot of  time with us on this current project, but he also walked around the entire house (since we recently moved in) and pointed out things that might be an issue at some point or things we needed to address for safety.  This was a huge bonus for us.  We will use his crew in the future for other projects!
