From my initial call to Brian I knew that he was genuinely concerned about helping with my mom's furnace since the temperature was dropping quickly and I was having difficulty with diagnosing the problem myself. He sent his technician over and he carefully diagnosed the problem and found a defect in the control board that I had installed a year earlier. These guys are very helpful and they treat their customers like family.

I spoke with Jim and one of his techs a couple of times to ask questions about the differentiators between the two systems. They were happy to take my call and answer my questions. I decided on the Amana system and asked them to install a new smart thermostat I had purchased. We were able to schedule installation the next week. Installation was fine; the techs were done within a few hours. The techs were professional and friendly, and they completely cleaned up once the job was done. I did notice a problem the next day and called. I received a return call within a few minutes, and within a couple hours later the tech was at my door and the issue was resolved. His office team submitted all of the warranty paper work and provided the needed information to claim energy rebates offered by my local natural gas and electricity utilities. Overall, I was pleased with the entire process and the people who performed the work.

It was $179.  I would use them again. It’s just that I found someone who’s a little more better priced. I don’t want to say, “no”, because they were very good. They came out when it was late in the afternoon and my furnace wasn’t working. He was here within an hour. It was a very last minute kind of thing and he had it up and running within a couple of hours. I was very pleased.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Locating someone who is honest and competent is difficult to find in HVAC - if I took the word of every tech that said "you have a cracked heat exchange", who scared tenants into believing that they were dying from poisonous gases, I would be out $35k in under 2 yrs. (One of those claims was not a cracked exchange but a wasp's nest.) I found Mike's name on Angie's List after I took over managing our family's residential and commercial properties, and after being lied to or being mislead by incompetent techs. Other than familiarity with HVAC as a homeowner, my experience was limited. Mike helped me navigate through my "on the job" exposure, beginning with identifying for me the unique/odd/old units in some of our apartment buildings that some techs had never seen before. Mike was the 4th company in a row that I called who didn't work on that type of unit. But he was the first that didn't charge me a service call, and the only one who could identify the type of unit it was and who could work on them. Since that time, Mike has been my most prized contact! He arrives on time, is respectful to our tenants and their homes, and he has never walked away from a job because he could make more money on another service call - we had another valued HVAC contact who went MIA, stringing me along, while a post-op tenant was enduring week long heat wave. When I called Mike, he was out the next day, and had it fixed in three hours. It was a tedious job, but he did it. As long as I am responsible for our buildings, he will be first on our call list!! I believe in honor and loyalty, and this company deserves mine!!!!!

Highly recommended!  Did not recommend anything I did not need and the price was reasonable.  Offered to show me how to maintain the unit to keep future repair costs down.  Recommended a maintenance schedule that was reasonable to keep my furnace in good working order for years to come.

On 9/1/15 our A/C unit was not cooling our house. We called Axberg, which is now called Black Diamond, late in the afternoon and they were able to come out that evening.  The technician came out and replaced the capacitor and cleaned the unit. Charged us $298.  We were very pleased with the service until on 9/6/15 when we had the same problem occur again and our house was once again not being cooled properly. I called Axberg and spoke with the lady who answered the phone and explained that we had just had our unit serviced and were having the same problem. She said she would send someone out.

About 1.5 hours later a technician arrived and after checking the unit showed us some wires that appeared to be burnt and said the capacitor was bad again. He blamed it on the unit not being big enough for the square footage of our house. He replaced the wires and the capacitor and recommended replacing the unit with a bigger one. We have had this unit for 10 years and it's never had a problem cooling our home and the square footage has not changed.

He went back to his truck to call his supervisor to see what the charges would be for this service call.  He came back with a bill for $328 which included a $75 after hours fee which I was not informed of when I made the initial call to the office. He also charged an additional service call charge.  The website is deceiving because it shows 24 hour service and does not mention anything about after hours fees.  So what constitutes "after hours" if they advertise 24 hr. service?

We scheduled an appt. with him to send someone out the next day to give us a an estimate on a new unit.  When the sales representative came out the next day he gave us a quote for the same size unit. I asked him why he was trying to sell us the same size unit when the technician had told us it wasn't big enough to cool our home . He said he had no idea why the tech had told us that because the size of our A/C was adequate for the size of our home.  Unfortunately I feel like the purchase of Axberg by Black Diamond has affected the quality of service. I will be looking elsewhere for any future heating & A/C services.

Went perfect ! This was the first time I called Carlson Heating and also it was on a Sunday !  He was professional on the phone and said that he had some things to rap up but will give me a call when he would start heading to my house. With in the hour he called me back and was heading to my house. When he Arrived he introduced himself shook my hand. Mike started to work on my air conditioning found the problem and replaced the Contact Switch. He put a a better switch on that was fully covered so those pesky earwigs would not enter into the switch contacts. He replaced the switch and explaned to me about some matinance on my Air Conditioner shook my hand and was on his way.Mike is a nice guy! I am So Glad that I called Carlson Heating and Cooing.I am very Happy and Impressed!

My central air conditioner stopped working on a Friday. I called Wilburn Heating. They agreed to come out 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning the next day to inspect and repair it. John arrived promptly on time with an excellent friendly attitude. After inspection, he said it needed an electrical part. He had one in his van and replaced the defective part. The whole process took 1 hour. The price was very reasonable. It was a hot day and the repair was done before it got too hot outside. The very best: friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. I will definitely call Wilburn Heating for any future furnace or air conditioning work. I highly recommend them.

Amazing customer service by this business.  The woman on the phone was so responsive that one day I called and the phone was switched to fax.  She saw my number and called me back to see what I needed.
The came out to diagnose the problem or rather what was broken on the electronic ignition for the pilot light on my gas fireplace.  The service rep was able to manually light it so I could at least use my fireplace in the interim.  They were able to track down the part, order and install it in a very timely manner.  I strongly recommend this company.

Heater kept turning off, during Christmas when it was in the negative temperatures. Service was called in and performed next morning promptly and without an additional fee for a holiday. Simple fix of cleaning a dirty sensor, no additional costs or extras added on. Great service!
