    Dean was knowledgeable, responsive, and most of all (for me) HONEST. He quickly performed the necessary troubleshooting to identify the problem and had the part needed to make the replacement. He went online and showed me the price of the part and added his labor--total and full disclosure. He will always stay busy and remain #1. You want to hire Dean. He was able to come the next day after I contacted him, but you should wait if he is is booked--it will be worth it!

    Great! He found the problem within minutes, grabbed the part from his truck and had the machine up and running within 10 minutes. He charges a reasonable service charge and was very professional and friendly.

    At first, he was hard to reach, he is not open on Saturday or Sunday. Sunday I can understand, but a service person that doesn't work on Saturday to me was strange. I left a text message via Angies list messaging, and he never responded. So I called Monday morning, no answer, then I called again around 5pm and no answer again...I left messages both times...he finally returned my call around 7 pm. We setup a service time of after 4pm on Tuesday. He called about 45 minutes to an hour before his arrival letting me know I was his next stop. He arrived well within that time. Very professional looking, got to work right away on the dryer, found the belt was broken and the main dryer vent was partially blocked. Cleaned inside and oiled all rollers, replaced broken belt. Went outside to main dryer exhaust vent and cleaned the vent of built up lent. His pricing was a little off, charged $54.95 as a trip charge, then on his invoice, there is also a fuel charge which he added $3.00 for gas...which I would have thought would have been included in the trip charge...not that big of a deal..like I said...a little off.

    I called Dean and the repair was scheduled for the next day. He called before he arrived and showed up as planned.  I described the problem and he told me that 90% of the time my problem could be fixed by replacing a particular part.  So we agreed he should replace it.  He told me the cost before he did it.  We talked while he worked and he was very knowledgeable and told me he takes classes to keep current.  He was a great communicator and I was very comfortable with him in my house.  He replaced the part and the oven worked.  He charged me the agreed upon price and left.  It was great and I would use him again and recommend him to others.

    Responded to my phone call within 1 hour. He was available the following day, but I wasn't, so we set a future appointment date. He showed up within a few minutes of time set. Checked out stove heating elements and circuit board that controls them. Elements were ok, but circuit board was defective. He called about a replacement board but discovered it would be two or three days before it would arrive. He called me the next day and said he had located one and could install it that day. He showed up and made repairs without any additional charge from those of the first day.

    Very cordial the entire time. Explained what he was doing as he performed his work.

    I called on Sunday. Dean was at my house at 9:00 Monday morning. His van was professional looking. He entered my house with a friendly smile. He examined my clothes washer in detail with me present during the inspection. He clearly had extensive knowledge of washing machines. He removed the cover during the spin and could see and hear the wobbling. He determined that the transmission was bad, which resulted in scrapping the machine. He only does repairs and does not sell new machines. I asked for recommendations and he provided me with a few suggested brands to buy. The charge was very reasonable. He left and I bought a new washing machine 4 hours later from Lowes. Lowes delivered the new washing machine the next day and I was operational. A big thanks to Dean's Appliances and Lowes.

    The service man gave me a quote to repair my washing machine in which I decided to forgo since it's so old and makes more sense to replace. I then asked him to look at my stove in which he was able to take apart and clean a sensor which fixed the problem. The company called me in advance to give me a time range and then the repairman called 30 minutes prior to his visit.

    Fred was able to get out the next day since we had a fridge that wasn't cooling properly. He was polite and performed the work very quickly. He did have to order parts for our stand-up freezer and come back after they arrived. Professional and friendly. He billed me, didn't require payment right then.

    It was a very positive experience. Fred came in, looked over our problem, determined that we had lint clogging up the dryer, he made the exhaust work correctly, and cleaned out the dryer. It works like new now.

    The repairman was prompt, very neat and professional, and friendly. Best of all, the job was completed perfectly and very quickly. Some repairmen seem to dawdle or make a job last a little longer than it might need to, but not the repairman from Al Grace. He clearly explained the work that he did, and left the work area and the drier very clean and in good order. I was very impressed with the service that I received, and would recommend Al Grace to someone needing an appliance repair.
