Concrete Repair reviews in Lombard

Concrete Crawlspaces & Basement Waterproofing Corp
Overall the concrete work was ok but my overall rating is because of the added expense they cost me by messing with something that most likely is out of their scope of expertise and knowledge which is plumbing. I had them come out to give me an estimate and it was brought to my attention that the sump pump would need to "remove connection to sewer line/discharge to exterior." It is probably on me to have made an assumption I was dealing with professionals who would not leave a job and their service by leaving the consumer with something that is not code and inevitably a much larger expense to rectify. Overall I was not impressed with the professionalism as well. My first appointment was set for 8am and he arrived at 7:30. I'm all for punctuality but let's be mindful of how early that is and not surprise your customer that early. The first appointment was fine and I was satisfied with the estimate. The day the workers came they got the job done however I did not appreciate the blasting music when I live in a bi-level and the crawl space is in the lower level which is very much a part of the house where I had to listen to the noise the whole time. I was patient and did not say anything as I appreciated the hard work. What I was not aware of is the entire sump pump was literally relocated from the back of the house to the front of the house with an eye sore of a pump drilled directly under the front window. This was NOT explained to me at all. They also attached a six foot pvc pipe which made it even more of an eye sore but I get the water needed to be directed far away from the house. Shortly after the work was done, my crawl flooded due to the pump valve. I had to call them back out and I got an attitude and a comment directed to me saying "we did not replace any parts." Was that comment necessary? There was no leakage before the work was done and I just paid 5,250 to concrete and seal my crawl and now I have a little pond in there. I did not make any accusation or even place blame. It is natural to call the company that just did work when a problem arose/ They came out and fixed and then I was told just run some fans in there. There was nothing offered for the inconvenience of a flooded crawl after the work was done. Fast forward to the next couple of months when the weather started changing. Naturally the pipe they put in the front froze which caused a backup and the motor of the pump to almost burn out. I had to call a licensed plumber to come out. Initially to get by they cut the pipe but then the pump continued to work because it caused a never ending cycle of water pumping directly at the front of house and on and on. We then had to go to just get some tubing to direct it further away from the house causing an even bigger eye sore. The licensed plumber told us there were other options so did not understand why this company put a pipe right in front of the house creating this series of issues and future work needed. They advised the village will want this pump under ground and needs to go all the way to the street. It will just keep freezing again as is too. If we pursue this work we now need to get permits, get the concrete and my lawn ripped up for something as a consumer I trusted this company new what they were doing. Had we known this job would have caused a much bigger job down the road we never would have done this. If you are just looking for concrete work I'm sure this company is ok although a week later a giant crack already formed in the work. Because of the added expense and negligence of work they did with regards to pump and plumbing and the attitude and unprofessionalism I would not use them for any job that involves any type of plumbing work nor would I recommend to friends or family.

Garage for you is a platinum company. You can rely upon them for quick attention, lightning quick email and text responses. The price we paid was very fair, and the smooth process and confidence in our outcome made it a pleasure. Ricky came on site often to clarify and expedite our project. He coordinated with his concrete subcontractor to improve the lay of the drive. He made sure everything was happening to our satisfaction. The garage structure went up in a matter of days. You get efficiency as well as quality with Ricky. Flexibility is another wonderful asset which guaranteed our project's success. For us, drainage was a tandem project, and Garage for You coordinated around that work, no problem. We also decided at the last minute to use vinyl shakes on the top portion of the garage front. No problem. We had several special requests, all met with gracious ease and excellence. All the subcontractors were considerate and very polite. The materials used are top-notch and the workmanship is outstanding. You can see for yourself in these photos. We are extremely happy with our garage. Everyone admires it, and I humbly say we have the best one in town!

    Regency Garages
The quality of the work is great. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, but we are quite happy with the results. Everyone we worked with was nice, and fair. The concrete work was excellent, and the subcontractors used were also all excellent. :)

    Wet Works Concrete
Mitch and his crew are the nicest people! I loved working with them, and they did a superior job on my front walk. They consulted with me, gave advice and listened carefully to my ideas and completed the job in a day leaving my yard in good shape and a brilliant new walk. It was indeed a pleasure!

    Bald Eagle Construction
Kevin (owner) called me back within 1/2 hr when i called. He asked if he could look at my house through satellite and see what I was talking about, and call me back. 2 minutes later he called and said that they do complete concrete work. Not concrete repair. Plus they are not ADA trained to do ramps. Suggested that I call the Building department in Lombard. (great idea) I appreciated his information. Very nice man and if I need new concrete work I will call him.

Met with BlueSky sales and was impressed with their knowledge and ow easy the whole estimate process was. An estimate was e-mailed to me EXTREMELY fast and it was reasonable and comparable to another quote received. We decided to go with the other company only due to better reviews. Top notch sales team at BlueSky!

    Affordable Residential Concrete Services
I called to get a price for a garage floor. He said he was with another customer and  I should text him my address. He said he would come over at 6pm the same day. I texted him my address and never heard from him again.

    Tmw Enterprises Paving & Maintenance
I am very happy with the decision to use TMW Enterprises.  I went with them because they do concrete and asphalt and I needed both done.  This way I could hire one company and not have to schedule two to do the job.  It was a big job but I believe the price was very reasonable. The work was reasonably planned with repairs and replacements as needed to keep the price reasonable.  Work and people were very courteous, knowledgeable  and professional,  I am very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend this company.

    Wet Works Concrete
We have a concrete porch in front of our living room (we are in a split-level home) and it was all broken up. Mitch and his helper came and broke it all out, tied into the foundation with re-bar, replaced the concrete, and re-installed the uprights that hold up the roof overhang. He came on time, kept me posted by text, and left everything nice and neat.
