    The Appliance Repair Guy
Enrique was quickly responsive to my initial call, then showed up right on time for the appointment. He is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable if you decide to hang around asking questions and listening while he is working so you can learn more about making your appliances work efficiently (I never even knew there was a filter in the dishwasher that is easily removed and should be cleaned out occasionally). When he left for parts, he had to drive to a second supplier, so this job ended up taking up most of his morning -- for just over $200, a more-than-fair price.

    Great Services & Repair Appliances
Fabulous! I contacted the company and within two hours he arrived at our house and within 30 mins the problem was fixed with a new part. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I was very impressed with his communication of when hed be arriving and then once he got there, he went straight to work but took the time to explain what was wrong, what could have caused it and then fixed it. He vacuumed the vents of the fridge and behind it. He was very nice and I would recommend GRS!

    Advantage Appliance Service
Long story, but my washer was not spinning out the water and clothes were still sopping wet at the end of the cycle. The problem was this happened inconsistently. One load would be fine and the next two not. After repeated service calls to try to diagnose this crazy, sporadic problem I eventually worked with Tom the owner. He wouldnt let it go until he figured it out. And, so he did. Washer is now working fine. This company is great! They have the old fashioned work ethic and morals that are usually impossible to find. Top notch - incredibly impressed with them

    Unique Repair Services
Overpriced. I have address as: 95 Bradrock Dr., Des Plaines, IL 60018. But same name and Phone #. Recommended by Samsung. Called Unique. Had to pay $109 trip charge before they would come out. Said they'd deduct it from labor charge if we use. Would not give hourly rate charge for labor. Repairman came out, advised we'd get senior discount and have $109 deducted from labor. Ha! He was polite and did fix the oven. Bill was $375.00 for part ($165 with tax) and half hour of work. $210 for labor, AFTER deducting $109 trip chg?! Going rate in Chicago area is $50- $100 per hour. Called office for price reduction. No way, no how! Call around. And check Angie's list first!

    Advantage Appliance Service
Fantastic! From Terry who answered the phone to Danny who came to facilitate the actual repair, the service was wonderful. Issue was fortunately very minor, but Danny was very thorough and made absolutely sure everything was working properly before he left. Highly recommend this company! Service provided is the way it should always be but, in this day and age, often is not.

    West Suburban Appliance Repair
Another repair company said it was not repairable -- too old (10 yrs) and that Kitchenaid is not good dishwasher. Called this company. Eddie had it up and running within two visits. Good as new. Eddie was on time, respectful, and highly professional.

    Town and Country Appliance Service
The only reason I didn't give a perfect score was this, I phoned for service and left a message, since I had to run out for a minute, I called back to leave my cell number. Chuck answered this time but had not received my first message, however, he was quick to set up an appointment time for the same day.  He was prompt to arrive and assess the problem.  He had material to place under the fridge so it wouldn't scratch my hardwood floors when moved (YAY) and had the parts needed in his truck for the repair. Within a short visit he had the refrigerator repaired. Just waiting now for the fridge to  recover and get cold!  He was professional and friendly.   I would definitely call again!

    AAA Appliance Service Center

FIRST: We are talking about a nearly 60 year old vintage Chambers built-in gas stove top and oven.  It took us months to find someone who would even look at it much less fix the problems that had occurred.  I called and explained that the work we needed done was out of the ordinary but the list of possible providers emailed to us by Angie's List didn't even mention these highly rated people.  However after many phone calls ,thank goodness, we found them right  there on the list.

NEXT: If there was a double A I would give them that rating.  They are totally professional.  Colleen in the office was on top of everything.  All of my questions were answered and the schedule was perfect.  We were notified in advance what was happening, when to expect it and who to expect.  There was even a picture of Jim the technician in the email before he came.  When Jim  came he knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it.  He even knew the exact kind of English made aluminum screw that had to be tracked down to re-attach the loose handle.  And he knew where to locate one.  WOW!  He also knew what was causing the oven to malfunction and how to fix it.   It took a couple of weeks to track down the parts needed but then he was back and in a couple of hours we were back in business.  Last night we baked a cake to cake to celebrate and it came out perfect.

To be honest it was pricey but it was mostly the parts that made it so. I have no complaint.  I will recommend them to everyone. I will also be sending their name to the Chambers Lovers website.

Thank you AAA and thank you Angie

Chicago Appliance Service Co - Chicago Suburban
I called when the office was closed. The answering service said I would get a call back within 15 minutes, and I did.  Will was our repairman. He was professional, punctual, and personable. He called back right away, made an appointment for 2 days in the future, showed up when he said he would, and got right to work.  He was very careful to put down rags on the floor while he was working. I appreciated that he showed that respect for my home. He explained exactly what the problem was and fixed it. If I ever need appliance repair again, I will ask for him.
