  • Unfortunately after being a long-time customer of Athena limousine, I have to give a very negative review. The drive to the airport was OK however the return ride was a disaster. The driver, named Peter, drove exceedingly slow to the point of being annoying. The driver was quite elderly and I believe he could not see well. When we got home, the driver did not fully engage the car in park and when he got out to unload the luggage the car rolled forward into a landscaped island where he destroyed two 30+ year old mature yews. It was after midnight we have been traveling for 12+ hours and were exhausted. I should've called the police and filed a police report. However Peter, the driver assured me that the limo company would make good and pay me for the damage. Unfortunately the limo company has a $1000 deductible on their insurance policy. The cost to replace the two large bushes was $794. The limo company wanted the driver to pay because it was his error. The driver said he had no money. Of course, you guessed it, I was stiffed! After reading reviews on Yelp I think what happened to Athena limousine is the company is growing too fast. An investor bought limousines and I believe they have over 100 cars now. They are probably having a hard time finding good drivers. The driver we had should not be driving! Thank God that only my landscaping was damaged. That driver could have had an accident where our lives could have been at risk. So I do not recommend Athena limousine service. The company is unprofessional and will not pay you for any damage their drivers cause. And Peter, their elderly driver, is a hazard on the road!

  • The manager. Eric. was quite helpful in explaining  the use of tie downs etc.  The Budget rental did not have these, so the movers brought special rope  and secured everything perfectly.  Without their ingenuity, we would have had to purchase these on our own at an additional cost. Eric budgeted the double move at 5 hours to allow enough time, but the actual move was 4 hours and we were only charged for the time used.  We are doing the final move in three weeks, and Blankenship and the same crew will do the move then.   We estimate we will have saved 3500 by doing the move this way.

  • I called West Suburban Limo to provide transportation to and from my home in Romeoville, Il to O'Hare International Airport as well as transportation for our return home a week later.  We were 5 passengers along with luggage.
    The driver for the trip to the airport arrived a few minutes early which is always a plus.  He was very professional, loaded our luggage and got us to the airport in a timely fashion.
    We missed a connecting flight on our return but I was able to call the dispatch and the driver met our new flight  without problem.  Again, a very professional driver who took care of loading our luggage and got some very weary travelers home in a timely manner.
    I was able to pay for both rides before hand including gratuity which made arriving at the airport and again at home go more smoothly.
    I found the price of approximately $100.00 each way to be fair and competitive.

  • The cars were very clean and comfortable, not your standard taxi cab. The driver who picked us up was a few minutes late, but had called to confirm with us earlier in the morning. They were friendly and reasonably priced. I did try to contact them a few days before the trip and went straight to voicemail a few times, but was eventually able to get ahold of them. They tracked our return flight and were ready to pick us up once we had our luggage. I would use them again.

  • On April 12, 2013 I contacted American Coach Limousine to provide limousine service for my brother and sister-in-laws wedding for Saturday June 8, 2013 in Joliet, Illinois. I spoke with Pat who was very accommodating, answered all my questions, and quoted me a firm price for a 3hr wedding package.
    I had reviewed several companies online and through wedding planning services and the main reason I chose this company was because of the positive reviews that were posted regarding your service and because of the assistance that Pat gave to me.
    I received an email response from Pat that stated and I quote and quot;Our Wedding Packages include unlimited stops, color coordinated decorations to match your wedding party, a and quot;Just Marriedand quot; sign, and a stock bar with soda and water.and quot; Pat's response also mentioned that your fleet was meticulously maintained and that if I wanted 5-star limousine service at a fair price that American Coach Limousine is your answer!
    I spoke with Pat and mentioned that the main color was purple and that I would get back to your company with the secondary choice. Later I received an itemized trip receipt on on 4/16 which clearly shows in the and quot;instructionsand quot;: 2 colors for decorations purple and other tba .
    Last week I called to confirm my reservation and spoke with someone named Stacy or Tracy. I'm sorry that I don't remember her name exactly. I called to confirm our times, pickup and drop off locations and the DECORATIONS package. I told her the secondary color would be silver. Another person from the company called the next day and asked if I wanted a and quot;Just Marriedand quot; sign. I was confused by this as Pat's email from the beginning states this is included as part of the Wedding package.
    That same night my sister-in-law to be called me to ask if we needed to decorate the limousine. I told her and quot;noand quot; because this was all arranged with your company.
    The day of the wedding arrives and Imagine my SURPRISE when I walk out of the church and find a black stretch limousine with NO DECORATIONS AT ALL! I immediately spoke to the driver, Arthur, who told me he knew nothing about any decorations. Now I am not only surprised but also ANGRY and EMBARRASED.
    I had arranged the limousine as part of my wedding gift to my brother and his wife. I was looking forward, after a beautiful church service, to see her smiling face when she would see the limousine decorated in her favorite colors of purple and silver. That moment was stolen from me by American Coach Limousine.
    Instead I had to pull my brother to the side and explain that the limo company messed things up and there were no decorations at all. I was sick and heart broken to have to tell my sister in law that your company had made a mistake and there were no decorations. I was literally sick to my stomach when I had to tell her this. She walked out of the church with her husband, wedding party, and family to a plain black limousine, one you would see for a funeral service and NOT for a wedding. There was nothing celebratory about the limo in any way. On top of this, as the driver put some of our beverages into the ice buckets in the limousine I noticed that the carpet was not clean and there were large tears in the seat cushions that you easily notice upon entering the vehicle. This is what you consider meticulously maintained?
    This company failed to deliver on the items listed on the contract. According to the driver Arthur, they failed to relay any of the information that I had provided regarding the decorations and confirmed the week before (thinking that this would mean that there would be NO mistakes, errors, or problems on the day of the wedding).
    I don't know how it happened and it is certainly not my job to figure out how things went so wrong. I fulfilled my part of the contract by paying in full and providing all the details I was asked to provide to meet the request of the bride and groom. This company FAILED MISERABLY and did not fulfill their part of the contract.

    * Company offered a refund of $75.00 but no more. I accepted their offer as I felt I wasn't going to get anything more from them and it was better to get at least something rather than nothing.

  • I felt that they had very poor attention to details for our mildly complicated travel plans (which is why we used a travel agent in the first place).
    Examples:
    For the flight, they had a typo on the first name. TSA won't allow you on unless there's a perfect match.
    We required two rooms and one person staying over in FL, flying home days later. They just couldn't comprehend this and kept getting it wrong.
    Each time we required a correction, it involved multiple calls and visits.
    They added trip protection for two travelers, with added cost, even though it was not requested.
    They generally had poor communication requiring multiple trips in and phone calls.
    It would have been easier to do it ourselves.

  • "Sue" quoted me a rate of $75.00 plus a 10.00 tip for a ride to the airport from my home. When the driver took me to the airport I told him about the price quote and the $10.00 tip. He said I would receive a bill via email. The receipt via email was for $158.00. They over charged me, charged service fees and a 20% gratuity. Sue lied and when I spoke to her afterward she said the prices were prorated and accounting would call me. No one called me and the next day when I called back I was placed on hold and no one ever spoke to me. This place is a total rip off and scams people.

  • Very poor service provider - would never use again.  Was 20 minutes late picking me up - I had to call them twice for an update. They never called me. Had to share a ride with another passenger because they were running late - sharing the ride was not such a big deal - being late and not telling me I was going to share a ride because of their poor service was a big deal. On my return - I had to wait over 25 minutes for a pick-up at the airport because they had sent the driver to pick up auto parts near the airport! Just to make it better - the driver didn't want to back into my driveway so I had to roll my suitcase down my snowy driveway.  Just for the record - I back a boat down this driveway on a regular basis - its not that hard.

  • Have been using Sundling regularly for the last two years. They are always in my driveway 10 minutes early - which I appreciate as there are other companys who have been late. On my return - they track my flight and are always ready for my call when I get off the airplane. Have never waited more than 5 minutes for them at the airport. All of their drivers are very professional.
