Midwest Landscaping Design & Tree Service Inc
Prior years Past Experience - Very Good, no drama, very professional April 2019 Experience - No Contract, now implied contract is based upon text messages. Midwest Landscaping provided a sample picture of dry creek bed followed by text messages of differences, Started and finished in one day. Completed project nothing close to picture. Complained the next day. Owner extremely confrontational and very unprofessional, This project is changing from "Disaster" to "Nightmare". They have turn this into a "He said, She Said" Situation. All emails, text messages and phone call can be confirmed through subpoenas, the verbal confrontations through witnesses, etc. if this situation continues to escalate. Facts are: He sent a sample picture with a description of the variations. Pictures of the project clearly show the quality. Their website has a "Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed" Yet, the Owner has been confrontational since April 23rd when I had contacted him regarding the quality of the work and clearly expressing my displeasure. I have tried to document the status of how the grass seeds have been growing and not growing. We have never attempted to grow grass through seeds - between the rain and the seeds not poperly covered, this has been one of the worst experiences which has been magnified by Midwest Landscaping unprofessional behavior and his inability to remember what was agreed upon including "$6,800 for everything". When I attempted to clarify my explanations, his response remain confrontational and would follow up with "Not in the contract". Unfortunately, i went into this landscaping project with Midwest Landscaping believing the workmanship, his workcrew, comunication would be the same at our previous experience. Sunday, May 12th, I sent a text message and a message through their website believing Pat Campion had blocked my cell phone stating in my text message "to let me know if we are able to come to an agreement." Since there was no contract signed and I paid both the deposit and the remaining balance before the job was complete, the only way to resolve the "implied contract" is through text messages and emails. My last text message was my message to Pat on May 12th. I have taken screen shots documenting any correspondence that was received with the date and time. I never received a response after my attemp to reach and agreement . In theory, if a message was sent and no response received, Midwest Landscaping, came to my house when I was not home. proceeded to remove a Hydreangas Tree from our back yard and replant it in the front yard, had a heated confrontation with our local landscaper who was at our house clearing weeds and planting perennials. This situation escalated and 911 was called. Midwest Landscaping should have never stepped onto our property especially if we were not home and they had absolutely no right to demand our local landscaper leave our property when she was the only one who had our permission. When the owner and his wife decided to remove the Hydreangas tree from our back yard and replant it in the front yard without our knowledge and permission - this is property damage ie. vandalism. Now we are facing an additional expense of moving and replanting a tree that should have never been moved. As I have learned today after numerous calls to tree service companies and landscapers, established trees should not be replanted due to potential damage to their roots.

    T & M Tree Service
Had contact on a Tuesday evening, though booked with jobs on Wednesday they were out first thing to get the limbs off that were resting on the house. They completed removing everything on Thursday. I appreciate the concern they showed for getting those resting limbs off ASAP even though they couldn't do most of the work until Thursday. Thought they were a tad pricey but was worth it for the immediacy at the time and the concern they demonstrated.

    SCOTT'S SPRINKLER SERVICE INC
Google reviews of his companies before using them. Scott's Sprinkler Systems and Naperville Pool and Spa. Both owed by this shady man. All reference terrible customer service and shady practices. We used Naperville Pool and Spa. I asked him to leave my house and paid him before the work was even done and more than contracted just to get him out of my house. I am reviewing the man you will have to deal with. He may put in a good pool or sprinkler system, but any little issue, LOOK OUT, again just google the reviews of him on google or yelp. Do not expect to deal with a logical or intelligent man,

    T & M Tree Service
T&M did excellent work. Four front yard trees needed trimming not only for the beauty of the trees but for the health of the trees. The crew arrived on time, did excellent work, and cleaned up all of the trimmings and yard. The trees look great! I would hire again and I recommend T&M.

    Dos Tree Service
Contacted them on a Thursday. Explained the work. Agreed on a price. Came out the next day to do the work. Arrived early afternoon with a crew. We went over the work again and discussed the shaping of several of the trees. They took down my birdhouses so I could clean them and hung them back up. All of the dead branches were removed and trees cut away from the house. Excess branches removed. Tree shaping was good. They brought a wood chipper on site. Clean-up was good.

    Dos Tree Service
Fernando came out the same day to provide me with a quote for trimming our large box elder and ash trees. His crew came out a couple days later to do the work and cleaned up afterwards. We had a storm last night which would normally result in dead branches in the yard, but this time there were none thanks to the work performed by Dos Tree Service. I have no complaints.

Paul Bunyon & Sons Tree Service Inc
These guys gave me a brand new property! Spent almost 10 hours working on my 5 tress, shrubs and cleaning up all the sticks and old wood on our lot. I had trees and shrubs that were so overgrown and half dead. They took the time to clean it all up and make it look beautiful again. Friendly, got right back to me early or late and answered all my questions. I would hire them again and recommending them to everyone I know. And their pricing was very reasonable. Great family business.

    Crazy Willow Tree Service
Not happy at all. The tree is down, yes. However I was left with a terrible, expensive mess. There were lies and talking in circles and the bottom line is I had to call the help of three other people to get this job finished. Our incomplete sentence estimate stated mulch and firewood would be left. have no mulch because he said it would break his chipper. (I saw no chipper in front of my home). A neighbor split the firewood for me, and took firewood in exchange. Another neighbor took a few large rings for landscaping decor. He tried to charge me for haul-away by refusing to cut the pieces small enough to be lifted byme. Finally a hauling company charged me $200 to take the rest of the super huge un-lift-able pieces away. Jose at CrazyWillowTree refused to cut the pieces any smaller saying it would break his chain saw. I said I would buy him a new chain if it broke, He said he was hot, tired and said he didn't want to do it. I said come back tomorrow and finish. He said "no". He pretended we never discussed leaving the stump low and flat for a flower pot. He wanted to leave it tall and jagged. He said"when did you say you wanted it short and flat?" I said three times. When I said I didn't want the stump ground up, I wanted it flat instead. It is not flat. Short, but not flat. Now I am trying to get reimbursement at lease for the $200 hauling fee. So far all I got was circular arguments from them. If you like a lot of extra expense, work, and frustration, then these are the ones to call.

    SALINAS IRRIGATION
I know why my two neighbors recommended Salinas & Sons. They responded to my call because my current system did not cover the lawn and plants well. Ishmael walked the grounds with me, gave me ideas to improve the watering at the lowest cost by saving what I could in the current system. The price for this service was very reasonable, and future broken sprinkler heads were half of what I was paying my former company. Fabian even reset my old timer to save expense. They are friendly, and terrific! --Carol D. Lisle

    Tree Concepts Inc
Steve and the crew showed up on time and completed the job quickly trimming 4 large trees. They did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards and just as I was about to get my blower out to clean up some saw dust from my patio, one of the workers was already in back finishing the job. We discussed in detail what I wanted to have cut down and they did exactly as we discussed. I would highly recommend them.
