I've gone through many physicians since moving to Lake County, and I finally found a keeper! Dr. Gamalski has always listened carefully to my concerns, treated me with respect, and made going to the doctor an (almost) enjoyable experience. He's obviously well-educated and knows his stuff, but he still appears to consider my input and opinions also. It isn't difficult to get an appointment at a time that works for me, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes once I've arrived at the office. The online patient portal is a plus, making it easier to ask simple questions and to check test results. And all of the other doctors and office staff have been pleasant and competent, as well.

He is very throrough and listens without making decisions for you. He will take time with you no matter who is waiting- which is why I don't mind waiting when I am there, I know I am getting the best treatment. In addition to his practice he is also a teacher. His office staff is great as well.

Jason Kramer is one of the best physicians I have known. I am retired from nursing and have worked with many over 25yrs. He is consciousness and diligent. If you have a problem he will find an answer. If you need a specialist he will refer you.He is is always courteous and I have never had to wait for my appointment time more than 10mins.
My whole family has used Dr Kramer. It is a shame he had to close his private practice in Gurnee, but he is with North Shore Medical in Vernon Hills. Not as convenient for my family , but we make the drive for the quality services he provides.

The fact that you can always get in even if it's acute care you may see a physician's assistant that's usually okay and its close by me and it works with my insurance and I found Dr. Clark and Dr. Kharasch if I need to see somebody who is more knowledgeable to be quite knowledgeable. I think the PA is doing a good job. The reason why I give them good grade because I usually research when I go see pretty well before I go.

He is friendly, he is thorough and he follows through, for example, I had the blood-work done and they called me and told me everything was normal and I could look at my results and I could see that he had looked at them because he puts a note at the bottom even if it's just to say everything looks fine. You can email him your questions and he will return the message and he will call you if he thinks it is appropriate or necessary to actually talk to you. And he does this in a timely fashion.

We choose Dr. Richard Troy/Dr. Goldrath because they were highly recommended by others and have done many, many prostatectomy’s (this is something you will want to know when choosing a surgeon). My husband chose the DaVinci robotic surgery as opposed to an open surgery, the reason being a quicker recovery time. However, depending on your insurance it can cost a patient approximately $2000.00 - $2500.00 more out of pocket for the robotic surgery. My husband spent one night in the hospital and was out of the house for a short visit with a friend by day three. By day six he ventured out of the house and went to the movies catheter and all. The catheter was removed by day 10. He was home for 6 weeks because his job requires a lot of physical labor, otherwise the average time off of work is 3-4 weeks. The pain was manageable with fairly low dose pain meds that were taken for about a week. So far his PSA is untraceable and he has to go in every three months for the first year to have it rechecked. After year one he will have to go twice a year for the PSA test. Checking the PSA only requires a blood test. Ask as many questions as it takes to make an informed decision. As far as availability, we make appointments in advance. Their office is very busy. There's a reason for that, their good at what they do.

He was professional in the way he handled me. He was thorough. We got into a bit of a thing over how he was wanting to handle pain/sedation issues. We disagreed about what was necessary in the way of sedation prior to inserting a chest-tube to rectify a collapsed lung. In the area of pain-management for medical phobic people, he is lacking.
