    Mold Pro Chicago
Mold Pros said they would do it in one day, but they would have to leave air filtering units in place on all 3 floors overnight. Everything was done exactly on schedule, and I was back in my house the next day. I have allergies, especially to mold, so I am glad they were so thorough for my health and safety.

    911 Restoration of Chicago
Ronnie and his team were thorough, professional, on-time and on budget. They completely removed the mold from our basement and a third-party conducted a test with the cleanest results they have ever seen. We highly recommend 911 Restoration of Chicago for mold remediation.

    Green Attic Insulation
Initially, I purchased a home energy audit through an Angie's List Big Deal.  I was impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection, which really showed me why we needed more insulation and where.  It also revealed a mold problem in our attic.  Ultimately, Green Attic had a price for the mold remediation that our condo association could live with (as opposed to others which were much higher), and our attic (shared with our next door neighbors in our townhouse development) was treated for mold.  We elected to have the insulation work done by Green Attic at the same time.
They arrived on time (a big plus in my book) and returned the second day of the project at the time I specified, so that I would not be late for work.  They covered the carpeting and draped plastic in the closet where the attic opening is, to keep the mess from entering the house. At my request, they also performed additional work to add caulk and other insulation around windows, in outlets, etc.
I felt like I was dealing with people who knew what they were doing.

Roy was professional and courteous. He was consistently honest, punctual and reliable , always available for questions.
His flooring contractors were hardworking. Their work was meticulous. We would be happy to recommend this company and would call them again if the need arises. Roy provided us with professional estimates that were easily submitted to our insurance company. II was a pleasure to work with this company. Our floors look beautiful.

    Henry's Duct Cleaning Specialists
the duct cleaning was to expectations, however, when reinstalling my vents, they all seemed to have been dented from an overly aggressive drill, thus when screwing everything back in, my vents were dented in at every screw hole.  also, i can't help but feel like there was bait-and-switch since I picked up an angie's list deal for $59, but was recommended to also spray some mold removal chemical which would bring my total up to $359.  I figured, I've already taken time off to have my ducts cleaned and have these guys out, might as well do the mold work so I asked for a discount and settle on $300.  I suspect that's what it would cost if I called anybody else, but didn't feel great about how at the end of the day, my cost was significantly higher than originally expected.  I guess if it sounds too good to be true...

    American Insulation
Rick came to the house right on time for an estimate about providing insulation to our attic, sealing the attic, installing ventilation and possible mold remediation. Rick was very friendly.
He brought a ladder but only stuck his head in the attic, never actually went in to fully inspect. I was a little concerned by this considering our attic is large and dark. I was worried about discoloration (possible mold) in our rafters that is hard to see from the attic entrance.
He told me that the discoloration is nothing to worry about, even though he saw it from a flashlight at a distance, but said he would put mold remediation in the estimate. Rick recommended five roof vents for help with ventilation.
I had to contact the company several days later because I never received the estimate. April, the contact for the company, stated that they must have gotten my email wrong. Sure. She sent it the next day. I thought the prices were quite high for doing a job that Rick stated would only take a few hours ($2,500).
We decided that this was a lot of money for us to pay at once. We could afford the roof vents now ($275), and would do the other parts in phases at different times. April stated that they will not come out for jobs under $500. REALLY?!?
She wanted us to sign a contract that we would have other jobs completed with 45 days. What a joke. This company basically refused to do a service that I needed because it wasn't worth it to them. Basically don't bother calling them if you don't have a $500 job.
I recently had a couple different roofers over to the house for the vent estimates and they both told me that five roof vents would be a waste for my attic since there was no intake. Maybe American Insulation should actually go inside the attic and figure out the real problem instead of peeking their head in with a flashlight. Glad I didn't use this company! I have all the emails to prove this company's lack of service if they decide to contest this review.

    Bella T Inc
We took advantage of an Angie's list deal on mold inspection and removal.  There was mold found in our basement and we negotiated a price for removal including all framing, drywall, and finishing.  They did a fine job on the mold removal but had not budgeted sufficient money for time and materials in terms of returning the basement to what they promised us.  The owner, who did NOT bid the job, is incredibly rude and nasty, and did not live up to what his employee had promised us.  Once they saw what the conditions were they demanded almost TWICE the price of their quote.  We were willing to pay them more because it was clear that there was more work than they had planned, but not double the cost.  We would NOT have hired them at that rate.  After some incredible nastiness and confrontations with the owner, we finally agreed on a price to finish the work that they literally stopped doing about 60% of the way through the job.  The final carpentry work is so sloppy that a beginner would be embarrassed by this.  The drywall was not sanded properly and is unpaintable, and the trim is so bad that one section was literally made up of five scrap pieces of wood that don't align and look ridiculous.  Should we ever sell this house we will have to replace pretty much everything they did.  We are certain that this awful finishing work was the last way for these nasty people to let us know how unhappy they were to have to finish our job.  Seriously, if you saw pictures of what they did you would NEVER hire these people.

    Mold Pro Chicago
Professional and great customer service from my initial contact to the end of the job.  Very pleased with the everything.  The service was prompt, thorough and professional. The mitigation team were helpful, gave me progress reports and allowed me to inspect the work after the job was complete.  They left the area clean.  Great job.

Brian was great to work with. He called the morning he was scheduled to come out to give me a precise estimate of when he'd arrive since he was coming, which I really appreciated. He explained every step of what he was doing and why it was important so that I had an understanding of what I could expect from the test. I am waiting to hear back on the results, but his professionalism gives me confidence that if we do have a mold problem, Mold Pro would be the first company to call!

    Fortune Restoration

We have used Fortune Restoration for almost 20 years.  They just finished painting the exterior of our house. Tom Fortune came for the estimate. He walked around with us and we identified all the areas where repairs were needed. He had a carpenter do some repairs and they glazed windows where needed and did some gutter repairs and mold cleanup. They did a thorough job of scraping and prep work. They carefully cleaned up afterwards. They kept to the timeline they had promised.  All the workmen are prompt, efficient and professional. It is very easy to communicate with Tom and the workers. The whole project went smoothly from start to finish. In past years they have honored their warranty obligations when some spots weathered faster. We have never had any problems with this company. We highly recommend them.
