    It went very well. There was initial confusion about the list of items that needed to be done in my two-hour time allotment, but once that was straightened out it went fine. The confusion was between what the company told me about flexibility and what the company tells its employees about working through a particular list of projects. Juan did a good job with everything I asked of him and did it quickly!

    It went pretty good. I had a problem wit one system and they sent me a new motherboard. They where responsive and sent it for free. It was easy to install. It falls off sometimes when you put it on stuff but I guess you could put more glue on it.

    My wife and I met with the sales representative, Stephen Bronson, twice.  We had a lengthy conversations.  After both conversations with Mr. Bronson my wife and I walked away with the impression that we would have a 6 month cancellation period in which if we were unhappy with the product, we would be refunded and the system uninstalled.  Once beyond that it would go to the remaining 3 years of the contract.  
    After a few months my wife and I decided that we didn't need this system because the way it worked was not sufficient to alleviate our concerns.  The alarm takes 30 seconds to siren, and if you set it to 10 seconds or something like that you'd have to unlock your door in a frenzy to turn it off when you go grocery shopping.  So it seemed not sensible to us after all.  We called Stephen back to cancel, and he sad that we couldn't.  He said that we misunderstood the contract.  This shocked me because I made him meet with us twice before even signing the contract so everything was clear.  That was the end of it.  I was stuck with a contract I didn't want at approximately $42 per month for another 2.4 or so years and $700 worth of overpriced equipment (there are much much better bargains out there than this company).
    I am not an forgiving, forgetful, or uneducated person.  This salesperson and this business did my family wrong, and I waited the entire contract;s length to cancel (did so a month ago).  I hope all consumers avoid this business in its entirety.

    On Saturday we got a call from the installer saying he's on his way, hours went by, I called him, and they said they were set up to go to a different address, even though we gave them the correct one. They said they couldn't re-task the first installer to come to the correct address, and he wouldn't be able to come to the right one till September 11.

    The entire process from when we called Alert to set up an appointment to the present, which includes a period of actual monitoring operation, has gone smoothly.
    The initial contact we had with Tony of the technical sales team at Alert was a very positive experience. He took the time to explain many of the technical details of system operation. This orientation Tony provided helped us appreciate his solutions to challenges that are somewhat unique to our house. For example, since our house is a one-story ranch house with a relatively large foot-print, special attention had to be paid to ��position of sensors to maximize effectiveness. Additionally, the fact that we have a cat, means that special consideration had to given to its movements to insure that it would not be the source of any false alarms. ��During our discussions with Tony, I was impressed with how much attention was given to design features that materially improve the reliability, and security of the system, or make the devices simple, yet user friendly ��from an operational viewpoint. I appreciated the fact that ultimate system delivered provides a high degree of protection, while not resulting in our feeling that we are captives in our own house. I like the fact that the back-lit touch screens used permits a person to utilize the controls without requiring any room lights to be turned on. The messages and icons are very clear and easy to understand. ��To provide a back-up source of ��system information, a well-written and illustrated owner's manual is provided. Additional customer support is available by simply calling the personnel at the Alert office, which is a local company in Chicago. ��
    The installer arrived exactly at the selected time. He was very politic, and courteous. He worked very efficiently, and was very detail oriented. His work was very professional. We verified that all the components that were in the contract for the system were included in the bill of materials for the installation process. The installer provided additional subtle device placement input which resulted in our obtaining optimized component placement. When the technician was finished with the installation of the complete system, several hours later, he proceeded to test the system. He then gave my wife and me instructions on the operation of the system. He also programmed her smartphone to facilitate remote monitoring and customer control input to the system. ��
    With regard to the post-installation operation of the system, we are in the process of confirming that our property insurance provider will be giving us a slight reduction in rates due to the fact that we now have this burglary and smoke detection system installed. ��It's my understanding that the monthly monitoring fee for Alert is less expensive than one of the other major alarm system vendors. Additionally if the customer wants to terminate or switch service to another provider, the required minimum contract length ��is only 2 years compared to at least 3 years����for one of the other major alarm system vendors.

    My FrontPoint experience has been excellent. While the $299 special listed specific equipment, the friendly staff at FrontPoint were very flexible in providing the particular pieces I wanted so long as I didn't exceed the price. The polish and professionalism with which FrontPoint executes on their service is highly impressive and comforting. All of the equipment was thoughtfully packaged, each piece labeled clearly and pre-programmed into the control pad and website. The self-installation instructions were also prepared carefully and thoughtfully making them a breeze to follow. I had an instance where sensors fit awkwardly and FrontPoint sent out extra adhesive pads for free as they'd encountered and solved that problem before. I also misplaced a magnet for a door sensor which they also promptly replaced for free. The system has worked wonderfully - especially the iPhone app. I recently added a camera to the system which I can view through that app. When the house is secured, the camera will take photos of any motion it detects within its field of view. I can't recommend FrontPoint highly enough!!

    They were good. The alarm is a self-install. I got it in the mail pretty fast. They have good support team over the phone. I bought two other things but they didn’t upsell me, I just chose to buy them. It’s very do-it-yourself. They do what they say they’re gonna do, nothing more and nothing less. They’re very good about calling back.

He did a great job and was very neat and professional. Worked with Todd at their office when we had some initial start  up problem. Todd was very responsive and available.  I would recommend this firm for providing a superior package of service and technology
