    RampNOW
The experience was very good. It was fine. Everything seems to be alright. I haven't had a need to call back for any extra service. I would use their services again if I had another stairway, but so far I've got one. I don't know about their other services. I would use them again if there is any correction needed on this one.

Communication and Customer Service was great.  We got a few technical issues with the brand new lift chair but Carlos and his team supported us until all of them were resolved.  I am happy to recommend RampNow and would use them again without hesitation.

    APRIA HEALTHCARE
Only minor problems with equipment delivery.  Once they sent the wrong style mask, but it worked and I used it.  They sent the wrong size filters for my machine, but they are just foam and I could cut them down to fit my machine .  I eventually got them to send  HEPA filters. I gave the a low mark in professionalism because it was so hard to convince them that needed the HEPA filters because I lived on a main Chicago street under an O'hare airport runway.  Now that I am on Medicare, I have found out that the HEPA filters should have been replaced twice a month, and masks may be replaced every 3 months..  Apria should have know that, but if they did they never told me.  I think I got 2 filters every 6 months when I got a new mask.  Another thing I found out from Medicare is that if a mask has replaceable parts I should be able to get replacements when they wear out.  My mask has a gel filled pillow that touches the forehand. They often crack and let the gel ooze out. Apria wanted me to replace the $50 mask when that happened.  My husband bought the part over the internet.  Another thing they never told me was that I needed to have my CPAP prescription refilled once a year by a doctor, and most doctors want you to come in for a visit to get the prescription.  I see my primary care doctor several times a year, but fist time I was told I had to make an appointment with the sleep specialist was when I fired Apria (for reasons I will get to next) and went to a new Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider.  It was the new DME that told me not Apria.
Bottom line ... Apria provided supplies when they wanted to and had no customer support.
I fired Apria because of their billing.  Before I started Medicare,  over 2 years ago, my employer provided medical insurance (UHC)that paid 100%.  After Medicare, I was told Medicare  pays 80% and UHC pays 20%. That is what happened, but then, about 6 months Medicare and UHC had paid the bill,  Apria sent me a bill for my "20% co-pay"  that UHC had already paid.  This happened with EV ERY purchase from Apria since I started Medicare.  UHC had to convince Apria that the bill was already paid, before they  would admit there was a mistake,  EVERY time Apria said they had fixed the problem.  All they did was drop the bill.  They never were able to fix the computer that was sending me the bill . I wonder how many other seniors have paid the co-pay that was already paid by their secondary insurance.  Google "fraud and Apria" and see what you get.

I was recommended to them by Angie's List and they were very professional. They were good in communication, offered a lot of different services and made me feel comfortable during a very stressful time. They were really on top of things and made sure everything is taken care of. I would use them again in the future.

I think that I found them on Angie's List and I like them a lot. I was impressed by the attention to the customer. Their representative came over to the house to meet my parents and they put us at ease about taking care of some home care medical needs for my parents. They met with the whole family. We met their representative and she was very easy to deal with and very helpful. She was super nice and very good at putting someone at ease. I haven't met the other person but my mom had to hire somebody to take her to her medical appointments. They have a very good system of confirming that somebody is going to be here for the appointments, and that person took her to the appointment and came back, and it was a very pleasant and nice person. Their staff, from what we have seen so far, is very attentive to the patient. They are a little pricey, but everybody is expensive. They are very nice and I have recommended them to other members of the extended family.

Everyone they sent was very caring and wanting to help. But not every person was as skilled as they needed to be. They were very co-operative in sending someone else when we called and said that this person doesn't know to do certain stuff or is not aware of something. We did have one person who was absolutely fabulous, but he was not always available. They sent him most often and he was so fantastic. The others were very well-intentioned, but were not as good as the other person.

The care givers were superb and offered excellent advice that was very helpful. The care givers could not have done more and helped more than I can say. I would highly recommend this service to anyone having the need.

The office staff is wonderful. Everyone with whom I have spoken has been very nice. They understand what is needed for the patient and the family. They help find other services (hospice, visiting nurse...) when needed I recommended them to my neighbor. When hospice was needed, Right at Home had them in within a couple of hours. The professional staff has given me a great deal of help in advocating for my mother when she has been in hospital and nursing home. I could not think more highly of them. I feel that they know us and care about us and count on them to help us find the services we need.

They were wonderful. They were extremely well trained and helpful. The staff visited our home before they assigned someone. They took time to understand our needs. They were very efficient and pleasant and sent absolutely the right person.

My Mother became ill on Christmas and would have to be sent to a nursing home if it were not for Benchmark. Even though it was the Holidays and this meant 24/7 care they were there. I can't say eough about the caring people they employ.
