Kasak Insurance - Health Insurance Brokers
Kathleen is wonderful. She finds out exactly what your insurance needs are including the doctors you see, the medications you take, as well as any other special medical issues you may have that might require certain specialists. Shes always done all the leg work and provided me with the best insurance options.

    K&B Financial, Inc.
Everything that my agent handled was done perfectly. She set me up with the insurance, with the automatic withdrawal for my insurance and was my advisor when I had questions. Her records are precise, and she answers all of my questions and we work together.

    Elite Medical Transportation
I went to Doctor Atia's office for intense GI Pain. The attending doctor at The Illinois Center for Digestive and Liver Health felt that I should be transported to Saint Joseph Hospital at 2900 North Lake Shore Drive for further tests. They contacted Elite Medical Transportation for transport to  Saint Joseph Hospital. 20 minutes later, Elite Medical Transportation arrived. Even this was not an ambulance nor were there trained EMT's on board, they made a medical decision that this was a medical emergency. Without my consent or knowledge,  they transported me to Wiess Memorial Hospital, which was out on my insurance network.
The major issue is they NEVER informed ANYONE where they took me.
My spouse was concerned about my progress so he called The Illinois Center for Digestive and Liver Health. They informed him that I had been transported to Saint Joseph Hospital for further tests. He then contacted Saint Joseph Hospital ER. They informed him that that had been waiting for several hours to arrive. They had already set up tests that my doctor from The Illinois Center for Digestive and Liver Health had called in.
Frantic, the only way I was located was through the use of the "Find My Friends" app on my iPhone. Only then did my doctor or my family learn of my location.
Their actions costs my family great concern and panic. Tests ordered at St. Joseph had to be repeated. All of my expenses incurred at Weiss Hospital were out of network, so was not covered by my insurance. I had to pay cash for all my expenses. My out of pocket costs came to several thousand dollars.
I will never use Elite Ambulance Service, even if my life depends on it.

    BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD

I found this from the company that I work for. I use them for different programs on different companies I work with. I am using a TPO package that is really good. That's better than other plans from my other companies. If you work for the government, you will find a most best package than us. Overall experience, I will give them an A.

    North Shore Health System
I thought Northshore Univ. Health System was excellent. The doctors actually talk to each other which I thought was fabulous. I went in with an unknown thing and it involved several different departments from infection control to gastroenterology. They actually talked to each other, consulted each other and figured it out. They did a fabulous job. The nursing staff is terrific. The food was actually restaurant quality. They had fresh vegetables, wraps and thighs of chickens. It's just really nice. I would have stayed longer if I wanted the menu. It was very clean and it didn't smell. It's good. They need to follow-up at the end maye just a little better at communicating with the person right before they were leaving. In their defense, they have an internet system where we can send questions to doctors. It will only go to one doctor but I have seen at least 16  different doctors. It didn't have all my 16 doctors listed which would have been nice.

    WALGREENS-Take Care Health Clinic
Since it was just a quick visit to a clinic, I wasn't expecting the same quality as a doctor's office. It was a bit confusing because there were three different computers. Only two of them were meant for checking in, but it wasn't clear that you needed to do this on the computer. I think I sat waiting a minute or two before I realized I needed to check in on the computer. The waiting area is like a bus stop with the plastic uncomfortable seats. For a quick visit, not a big deal. But I ended up waiting a while before getting seen due to a sudden inflow of patients at one time. Generally, the Nurse Practitioner was thorough. But I was disappointed by a few things. I came in for a sore throat. Nothing more. However, she felt the need to ask detailed questions about my personal health history that I did not feel were relevant. She gave me a lecture about my slightly elevated blood pressure that was most likely elevated due to the massive amounts of cold medicine I had been taking (we both agreed on this). Most disappointingly, she felt the need to lecture me on weightloss. This I felt was severely out of line. She NEVER got me on a scale. She has never seen or met me before and hence has never done a physical or drawn blood for bloodwork to look at cholesterol levels or diabetes, etc. Additionally, I was only there for a sore throat. Explain to me how being overweight is related to a sore throat? This is borderline malpractice in my opinion and I only say so because I work as a health practitioner myself. Her inferences were based on socially biased opinons and not scientific facts. She spent maybe 5 seconds looking at my throat and said it wasn't even red and shrugged it off like it was nothing. She should've started with that and simply let me go. The pain I had was bad enough for me to think I had an infection. I figured it was a virus but wanted to come in just to get it checked since I did not have a primary care physician at that time. She was a friendly person and I'm sure this was just an isolated misstep because she does seem very knowledgeable. However, needless to say, I will not be going back to this clinic again.

    Dominick's Pharmacy
They have everything that we need and they call us when the prescriptions are ready. They also opened a new pharmacy right around the corner from my house. So, I can walk and go, as it?s very convenient for me. It?s also on the way to my son?s school. They also help me find stuff. They are friendly and are good people.

    WALGREENS
It is convenient, and I love the drive through. It is the best thing about any pharmacy. If I am not feeling good, I can drive through and drop it off. They do call me if my prescriptions are ready. I haven?t had any problems with them.

    ST FRANCIS MEDICAL GROUP
When I initially checked in they were not very polite. I got in to my own seperate room very quickly. The nurses and doctor were polite and attentive. They seemed a little bit too busy to fully communicate. It was straight and to the point.

    Nora Medical Group
I've been going to them for probably more than 10 years. The service is great there and I usually get an appointment right away when I need one. I have had different jobs and so different insurance companies, but they keep up with it. The office is well kept and the nurses treat you well. They are informative and I've had a couple of surgeries where they have recommended to other doctors as well.
