    Regency Garages
Amazing from start to finish. On-time, professional, very responsive when there were questions and did all the work as they stated they would. From the quote process, to the cement pouring, to the carpenters and electric installation; everyone that worked on the project did an amazing job!

    Danley's Garage World
We purchased a new home that did not have a garage. We received several estimates to build a garage from the ground up, and Danley's Garage World impressed us most with their knowledge and responsiveness. Their estimate game out in the middle of three, and they were flexible and considerate of our needs. My husband, a contractor in his own right, was off during the time they built the garage and watched their work every step of the way. He was happy with the labor and the materials used. Our garage is exceedingly well made. The time from estimate to permit to foundation to construction was 7 weeks. That is amazing. One of the other two companies wasn't sure they were going to be able to complete the project in this season. Of course, with every big project there are minor hiccups along the way. I expected that. What I really appreciated that whenever I contacted our Danley Garage World representative, he responded within a few hours. In each and every instance, the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. We are really really happy with the outcome. Having done a great deal of research, we know the price was on target.

    Kolin Group
They were wonderful. Mike S. came with his dad to look at the project, they arrived on time and knew what they were talking about. They did drawings, gave a detailed quote. Mike was very willing to work with me when I wanted certain specifics added to the quote. The work was done on schedule and looks beautiful.

    Better Built Garages
I'm the neighbor of the folks next store who paid wow 30K for a garage ( their perogative ) But they had to get in my yard to finish one side. No Problem ... But did they or my neighbor for that fact inform of the day or ask if OK to take a Saturday ... MY DAY OFF to Dominate my back yard... ( Not the Biggest Problem ... But you'd think a professional contractor make sure the neighbor informed me or if not knock my door as a courtesy to enter my property and make sure it was OK) But No... they just piled in my backyard threw all there tools materiels all over my yard and into shrubs at the back... and I let it go for a while but I'm seeing metal shards from the siding there cutting falling into my lawn and nails ... bags and plastic from materiels floating in my backyard...So I let them know I expected to find my yard cleaned up... I got scowls
So I had to leave and when I returned they were gone... I couldn't believe it... the bags were still floating in my yard ... I mean come on ... But the worst... siding shards and shards of metal and nails to fill a 5 gal bucket all embedded in my lawn ... so obvious they made no attempt to clean up one thing ...  a couple of shards were so sharp you could of slit your throat with them. I was furious... Then to add insult to injury I go into my alley to throw out there debre after I clean up for them ... and behind my fence in the alley where theres a small patch of grass they dumpped the wooded pallet the roofing shingles where delivered on... I pick that up to move it and under it all the metal strapping that held the shingles to the pallet under it....These guys are bad news if thats the way they do there work and you OK with that kind of professionalism god bless ... I called my neighbor to complain I called better built and left a message ... and they returned a few days later to something on another side and I walk in my alley to confront them about there mess they left... and one of the workmen was relieving himself on the other neightbors fence...He right away jump and stopped saying oh oh Im sorry... Listen ... These guys should of been fined or something and if thats there professional ethic and you want to give them 10's of thousands of your hard earned dollars Well ... Good Luck...Take my advice find another garage builder!!!

It was a good experience. We have recommend them to neighbors and they had them do their garage also.We did have some weather delays. Any snag we ran into, we would contact the office and everything got taken care of. We were happy with it. The owner came out himself when there was an issue and dealt with it.

    Neighborhood Remodelers
My wife and I purchased her grandparents' house earlier this year with the intent of completely remodeling it and bringing it into the 21st century. We had around 6 contractors come out to bid on what we wanted to do. From our first meeting with Luke, we were sure we were making the right choice in Neighborhood Remodelers. He scheduled two walk-throughs with us to make sure he understood our vision - one to get a sense of scope and to put a proposal together and a second to have his design team get a look at the type of work we'd need to have done. He had a proposal back to us within 2 days. Some of the other proposals we received were really vague and open-ended, sometimes only including around half of what we wanted to remodel. NR?s proposal was definitely the most thorough (and the most reasonable) and it covered everything we wanted to do, including knocking down a load bearing wall and completely finishing the basement.
This was a huge job but Luke, Mick (our project manager), Jill (our designer), and Erick (our foreman) were amazing from start
to finish. Everyone at NR was so great at communicating with us and making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The planning phase with Jill was a ton of fun and everything that we designed with her came out exactly how we envisioned it. Mick was in constant contact with us throughout the demolition and remodeling process. We were actually out of the country at the beginning of the demolition but Mick sent us pictures so we could see the progress. It was always reassuring to get updates whenever something was happening, since we were not on site during most of this process. When the ?finishing? work was being done, Mick and Erick made sure that we saw everything in person so that we could make adjustments or approve of all of the work being completed. And, if anything ever needed to be changed, Erick and his team were always willing
to do whatever we asked of them. Mick followed up even weeks after the job was ?done? to make sure that everything was up to our expectations and when something needed to be fixed they came back out to fix it.
We had planned for the entire remodeling process to take about 3 months. It did end up being a few weeks longer than that and we had to move in before the house was completely ready, although most of the time at the start of the project was held up by a delay in the permit process with the city. We also had a lot of additional work that we needed to do mostly because the house was built in 1950s (such as electrical and plumbing upgrades). In hindsight, the one thing I wish we had done was plan for more of these contingencies at the outset. Since we worked with a construction loan, it would have been much easier on us to get that all in the loan budget instead of coming up with more money out-of-pocket. However, Kerin in the office was awesome in coordinating everything on the payment side and making sure the bank got everything they needed to fund all of the work being done.
So despite a few minor hiccups along the way (getting delayed by the city?s water department, mostly), it was all worth it in the end. We have our dream house and it?s completely our design! We recommend Neighborhood Remodelers to all of our family and friends who are looking to update or renovate, and we will definitely call them first with any projects that come up in the future.

    Regency Garages
When my wife and I set out to locate a company to rebuild our garage, we agreed that quality would be the number one priority.
Regency Garages was the third of five contracting companies we reviewed. The owner (Rich) came out to the property to perform the estimate and immediately set himself apart from the others with the standard build quality that other companies charged premium dollar for. He's a hands-on owner and works onsite with his team to perform the work. The overall cost was on par, if not a little less expensive than the other four companies. He made a number of recommendations that we took into consideration.
Quality after the contract signing really set the bar. EVERYONE that I spoke with in the office were helpful and very responsive. My wife and I had a few changes that we wanted and one of the team members called after hours to work with us to ensure we got everything done the way we wanted it.
The finished product was nothing short of awesome... Our neighbors were even impressed with the look and style of the new garage.
Well done Regency Garage (Rich, Terry, and crew, you are all awesome)

I guess there are a lot of companies who can build a garage, but I doubt that there are any who would provide the personal service and stand behind their work like this one.  They were amazing.  I live in Lincolnwood and the Village, combined with Com Ed gave me a lot of problems that had nothing to do with Garage for You.  Nonetheless, they were helpful, supportive, patient, willing to jump through the Village's hoops - the owners actually kept me sane through the project.  They were EXCEPTIONALLY concerned with my satisfaction, communicative and always ready with a suggestion for how we could do things to give me maximum use of the space.  Their workers were all extremely polite and clean, willing to help out above and beyond building the garage (for example, prior to demolition there were heavy things in the garage that I could not move... they carried them to the storage pod for me, with a smile), and punctual.
The new garage is beautiful.  It is equipped with the most modern garage door openers (battery backup, key fob, keypad) and, as my garage leads to the alley in the back, they put in two garage doors, so we never have to worry if another car is on the driveway - we can always drive through the garage to get to work on time.
I recommend Garage for You 1000%.  My new garage is attractive, solid and it goes beautifully with the house.  Thanks Garage for You - you are the BEST!!!!

    Your Shed Builder
Great experience overall. It took a few emails and phone calls to finally schedule an appointment that worked for the company and my family. On the appointment was set a John and his assistant came out and measured the area where we wanted to have the existing (but falling apart) two metal sheds. They drew up a rough plan and provided us with several options that conformed to our needs and restrictions. They then emailed us the price for each option along with prices for various additions that we had discussed. Once we agreed to a final design the shed was prefabricated from wood at their location and they came out about a week later to assemble the components on location. The entire assembly took less than a day and we were able to start painting the shed with our kids that afternoon.

    AMD Construction
Andrej & Dominica Ostrowsko, who are AMD Construction, were very direct and honest with us, AND their price was the lowest that we were quoted.  (We had never heard of them before.)  Mr. Ostrowsko did the both the demolition and the carpentry work himself along with his helpers, while all of the other firms that we interviewed would have subcontracted the work out.  It was truly a pleasure doing business with them.

Mr. and Ms. Ostrowsko (and their young son) came to our house beforehand to finalize the contract, and walked us through all of the options and their prices, ensuring that we were clear on what we were buying.

We had been worried that the demolition might damage the beautiful garden that abuts two walls of the garage.  Unlike the other firms that we interviewed, Mr. Ostrowsko told us up front that standard demolition using a Bobcat tractor would cost $400, and would probably damage the garden because the old walls would fall onto the garden; while manual demolition would cost $1,200 but protect the garden.  We chose the $1,200 manual demolition, and he kept his word - he made sure that the old garage parts fell entirely onto the concrete and into the alley, preserving our garden and the neighbor's yard.  We were so pleased that we tipped his helpers $100.

(The sales representatives of the other firms that we interviewed simply assured us that their demolition subcontractors would protect the garden, for no extra price.  They also had less understanding of the Chicago building code, neglecting to tell us about the fire-resistant wall requirement for the property line.  In retrospect, we believe that we were right to be skeptical of the other firms' claims.  Plus, those firms' price quotes were no cheaper.)

The demolition was done in one day, and the erection in one more day.  AMD came on the days that they had said that they would.

The wiring was all done by AMD's subcontractor, correctly.  (I once worked as a helper to electrical contractors, so I believe that I was competent to judge his work.)  After everything else was done, Mr. Ostrowsko came back to install the two roof vents himself and to make sure that we were satisfied, which we were (and still are).
