    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
I want to give a very good review to Manny R who connected our sumppump with Perma-Seal. He was on time and took time to explain what he was doing. Good job. Gretchen and Ralph Hane 6249 N. Maplewood Ave/ Chicago, Il 60659

    M&L Remodeling & Painting
We had a terrific experience with M&L Remodeling. From start to finish they were punctual, responsive, and efficient. Matts crew, led by John, were such hard workers, clocking in at 7 each morning and leaving at 5, plus half day on Saturday. The original time estimate was 6-8 weeks and the project was completed in 6. Matt was always available via text or phone for questions. We had already designed the floor plan of the new space so that was helpful in determining what the project would entail and we really got everything we had envisioned. I would highly recommend this company for any remodeling work. The work done included demolition of a small powder room, removal of a cast iron laundry tub, old galvanized steel piping, old electrical conduit and one short wall. Following that, a few small cracks in the walls were sealed and the entire foundation was painted with dry-lock waterproofing paint. Then framing of walls and ceiling for drywall, followed by plumbing and ejector pit installation, bath fixtures, shower, tile and flooring, electrical work, drywall of ceilings and walls, doors and trim installed, new glass block windows, new vinyl on stairs, painting of walls, doors and trim, baseboard heating, can lights and lighting fixtures, epoxy floor with vinyl chips throughout. We also had exhaust fans added in the bath, workshop and craft area which needed to vent through the exterior brick wall.

    Everdry Waterproofing of Illinois
I cannot speak to the quality of Everdry's work - actually I expect that it is top-notch. My problem with Everdry is that the salesman, and he was definitely that, arrived with an agenda to sell me a certain solution (at $20K), regardless of what he found. I have a leak in one corner of basement. I described and showed where it came in (behind drywall). He barely paid attention. He did his 1 hour survey of entire basement and outside. Then came the "presentation." It was obviously a prepared pitch (to me and my wife), with props and video and condescending, leading questions. Of course he was going to take care of my leak. Because he was pushing a "nuclear option" that should fix every single leak anywhere. For a big fat price. Let's compare that to ULB. The guy came in looked at the wall and told me: you need to remove the drywall so I can take a look. But probably it's about a $500 job. Then I called in my fav handyman to remove the wall. He went outside and looked closely at the area where it seemed the water was coming in. He noticed a hole drilled for the a grounding line and a couple of other things. He came back and filled it all up with some kind of outdoor caulk. So good. Rain and no water coming in. So watch out for Everdry. You will almost certainly end up with a dry basement and lifetime warranty. But was it necessary?

    Concrete Correctors
Wow, I can't think of a more knowledgeable professional than Grant when it comes to water vs. house issues. He gave me a lot of tips on brick "seepage", foundation penetrations, and roof/wall leaks. The estimate for repairs is forthcoming, but whatever it is, I can't think of a more competent individual for this work.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
They did an excellent job. They were professional and came on time. They double checked the work. They referred another company to take care of the carpentry work and a plumbing. I would use them again and recommend their service. It is guaranteed life.

    Everseal Basement
They did a good job and the price was reasonable. The workers were very nice, neat, and thorough. After they finished sealing the cracks, they made sure to clean up after themselves and it looked like they were never there. I would highly recommend them.

Michael Vecchione showed up on time, did all the checking, and gave an honest and professional assessment. He was punctual, intelligent, and professional. Also, helped create future service plan that's actionable and with concrete dates.

    Ulb-Dry Waterproofing Inc
The service man was on time and extremely professional.  He did a very thorough job and was willing to answer any questions I had. While he was working, he pointed out other cracks in our foundation that we hadn't noticed.  He made honest recommendations about what our house needed without trying to persuade us to contract more work.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
It didn't go really well.  They had to return multiple visits over the next year and a half to fix the problems made with the initial installs.  The concrete cracked and the basement started to flood.  They had to come out 4 or 5 times.  I had to be there as it was a huge inconvenience.  Our basement had flooded again from the same area that they supposedly had it fixed, so kind of an issue.  The number of workers varied according to the time, but they would send at least two.  They should have done right the first time.

    The Scottish Plumber
They responded within minutes of me reaching out to them via email and they called me in the middle of my scheduled time to tell me they might be late, they ended up getting there right at the last part of the time frame! Although it was a much more lengthy visit than I had anticipated, I am extremely happy with the quality of the work. They used quality piping and he ensured that all of connections were leak free. I will make sure to report back after my next appointment with them on Thursday.
