    George Krinninger & Sons Inc
We hired George Krinninger and Sons to repair a rotted section of our house vertical cedar siding. Mike and RJ did an excellent job that included installing a water/ice barrier and having to mill each piece of cedar plank to match the interlocking contours of the originals. We are extremely pleased with the result and would not hesitate to use them again or to reccomend them to others.

Siding Group & Windows Group Ltd
Julie and Franz were helpful and flexible. Julie and I did a lot of talking about the color schemes. She is a good listener and took my desires into account. Her advice was spot on. They stored our siding over the winter when my cat got very sick in the fall and I did not want the noise at that time. Franz does the scheduling and keeps everything running smoothly. The workers, Franik and Viotek, were professional, on time, hard working, nice, always cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day and did an excellent job. Their mason, Jack, did a great job putting a stone sill under our bow window. We have gotten many complements from the neighbors. This company was not the cheapest quote but they are worth every dollar. The only bad news: Gandalf the cat died.

Shaunuk was incredibly helpful in educating me on my woodpecker and siding issues and making multiple recommendations with my best interest in mind (including not using his services!). A true professional with high integrity.

    Cornerstone Exteriors Services Inc.
Had hail damage to my roof and a tree limb fell and crushed a small portion of my gutter. Cornerstone was doing work to home across the street from me and I called the number listed on the yard sign that they pull in front of that house. Representative from Cornerstone, Bill Jew, came out and estimated the project (about $9,000) and handled submitting the claim to my insurance. Got approval from some of what his company proposed and I cut them a check in early fall 2016, Was told that it was too late to do work for the season (saw them work on other home in the area for an additional 5 weeks) and that I was slated to be the'first one to get project worked on come spring'. Spring 2017 comes and I see houses in the area being roofed and call Bill Jew and ask when I can expect to have the work done on my home. "Too cold for us to work until it is 50 degrees and warmer for the whole day and night' was the initial response, then 'oh there was a disaster in the Union IL area and I am busy there, will get to you soon!', and then it was "we are so busy that we are working on the backlog of clients!' and then in JULY 2017 they do the work, well not CORNERSTONE, but a crew of sub-contracted people who did not want to talk to me or answer questions in any way except to say "call Cornerstone". These guys were large men (over 6'4" and 250 pounds or more) and they RAN from one side of my roof to the other for two days. When they brought bundles of shingles to the roof they threw them like they were shotputs and the result of all this was that they put a crack in the interior ceiling of my kitchen that is about ten feet long and cracked all the drywall around a skylight. They also places a LEAD BOOT over the PVC radon emissions stack on my roof that is 100% AGAINST CODE ON THE LOCAL, STATE and FEDERAL LEVELS. When CORNERSTONE was contacted they sent the salesman, Bill Jew, out to address the problem. His solution was to personally patch the drywall on the ceiling (do not think that he is trained or qualified to do so) in such a manner that my eight year old son asked why the guy would waste his time to smear goo on my ceiling in a way that definately will have to be redone. Call after call after call to Bill Jew go unanswered. Calling the office is futile since they schedule an "appointment for our field supervisor to come out and fix it right away!" only to sit waiting fr this person to so up and no one ever arrives, When called, no one knows anything about it, or the damage to my home or person that is to fix it......but they sure know to remind me that I still owe them $4,000! (which I cannot pay in good conscience since the project is not complete and I am certain that if they get another dime out of me, then I have NO chance to get this resolved) They keep having a 'public adjuster' try to bill my insurance company for additional things, including the cost to repair the damage that CORNERSTONE did to my home. What they originally quoted $10,000 for they are now at about $18,000 claiming to my insurance. (which I have advised to NOT pay or respond to) All in all, going on two years since I originally contacted them and I am at the point in which I am going to have the radon stack repaired by a REPUTABLE ROOFING COMPANY and have a PROFESSIONAL PAINTING CONTRACTOR repair the damage to the interior ceiling. hhhmmm, maybe I will see if I can hire the most expensive contractors I possibly can since I am just using the money that CORNERSTONE would be getting if they fixed it. Wonder if it is going to cost a few grand to repair this stuff. WORST COMPANY THAT I EVER USED!!! NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL, SCAMMERS!

    George Krinninger & Sons Inc
Ie used this fir before with excellent results. Mike & RJ inspected job site and after determining the amount or demolition/reconstruction carefully described the extensive repair job and tthe cost. Materials were promptly purchased & delivered, and a staging area for construction tools was created. Work site was always orderly & kept secure at night. Mike & RJ are dependable & professional. Our porch will be standing long after the house to which its attached has fallen. Wre thrilled with the work. Detailed billing includes hours worked & materials used.

    LAKE COOK EXTERIORS INC
This is actually the second time we have used Lake Cook Exteriors. They replaced downspouts on a rental property. That went so well we decided to hire them for a siding replacement for our primary home. From start to finish the process was flawless. Don, the salesman, was professional, prompt and kept us updated everyday. He explained the processes and helped us to make more informed choices on what we wanted for the final look of our home. Jack and Jerry, the installers were the real stars as they arrived early in the morning and didn't go home until dark. The April weather was freezing cold, but they worked each and every day without stopping. The one thing that I found very interesting was they didn't rip off the siding all at at once. I have seen companies do that in our neighborhood. They only took off what they felt they could complete in a day, The attention to detail was phenomenal. They even surrounded the electrical outlets and the water spickets. They cleaned up each day and the final clean up was well done. The house looks amazing.

    George Krinninger & Sons Inc
Excellent. Mike and his team did exactly what they said they would do and made suggestions to improve the quality of the repairs. Mike is a second generation carpenter. The quality of the work reflected that experience. They were easy to communicate with and punctual with arrival and departure. We were kept informed of progress as well as unanticipated concerns. The work area was cleaned up every day and meticulously cleaned up upon completion of the job. Excellent value for the work performed!! This is the second time in 3 years we have used Mike and his team.

    Alchemy Construction
We had Mike start to install our kitchen cabinets and ended up calling another contractor in to finish the job. After 3 weeks of inconsistent work Mike stopped showing up and would not answer our phone calls. He was constantly late, would leave for hours to go get supplies and overall dishonest. Recently we noticed a pipe leaking in our basement and come to find out he had screwed a 3 screw into our waste pipe from upstairs bathroom while mounting the cabinets. We would never recommend alchemy construction to anyone.

    LandMark Exteriors
The Landmark crews were very professional and true craftsmen. The arrived on time, cleaned up every afternoon and kept me updated on the project. The completed job of the 3 season porch and the bay window were absolutely amazing. They looked better and were built better than when they were first built 28 years earlier.

    LandMark Exteriors
Landmark did a great job on our windows and siding. This is the second time we had them do work for us. Mike, the salesman, was very knowledgeable and low key. The first time, they just replaced the windows in the front of the house. We were very happy with the work and called them back to replace the windows in the back and to replace the siding. We went with Hardie siding and it is well worth it. We purchased wood windows which they stained and varnished. They matched the kitchen windows to our cabinets so it really looks nice. They paid attention to every detail and did quality work. They put finishing trim around the outlet outside, the dryer and kitchen vent, the compressor hose and around our lights so every thing has a nice finished look. Mike came out every day to see how the job was going. The installers were experienced and work diligently the whole time. They also cleaned up really well. The house looks amazing and seems warmer and quieter now. I would definitely recommend Landmark and would use them again if we needed anything else done.
