Shaunuk was incredibly helpful in educating me on my woodpecker and siding issues and making multiple recommendations with my best interest in mind (including not using his services!). A true professional with high integrity.

    JJ Construction Ent. Inc.
They diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and were able to perform the fix during that same visit. Of course, we will not know for sure whether or not their fix will actually solve the problem until we encounter another heavy rain, but the problem they found was definitely a flaw that needed attention and seems likely to be the right solution.

    Cornerstone Exteriors Services Inc.
Had hail damage to my roof and a tree limb fell and crushed a small portion of my gutter. Cornerstone was doing work to home across the street from me and I called the number listed on the yard sign that they pull in front of that house. Representative from Cornerstone, Bill Jew, came out and estimated the project (about $9,000) and handled submitting the claim to my insurance. Got approval from some of what his company proposed and I cut them a check in early fall 2016, Was told that it was too late to do work for the season (saw them work on other home in the area for an additional 5 weeks) and that I was slated to be the'first one to get project worked on come spring'. Spring 2017 comes and I see houses in the area being roofed and call Bill Jew and ask when I can expect to have the work done on my home. "Too cold for us to work until it is 50 degrees and warmer for the whole day and night' was the initial response, then 'oh there was a disaster in the Union IL area and I am busy there, will get to you soon!', and then it was "we are so busy that we are working on the backlog of clients!' and then in JULY 2017 they do the work, well not CORNERSTONE, but a crew of sub-contracted people who did not want to talk to me or answer questions in any way except to say "call Cornerstone". These guys were large men (over 6'4" and 250 pounds or more) and they RAN from one side of my roof to the other for two days. When they brought bundles of shingles to the roof they threw them like they were shotputs and the result of all this was that they put a crack in the interior ceiling of my kitchen that is about ten feet long and cracked all the drywall around a skylight. They also places a LEAD BOOT over the PVC radon emissions stack on my roof that is 100% AGAINST CODE ON THE LOCAL, STATE and FEDERAL LEVELS. When CORNERSTONE was contacted they sent the salesman, Bill Jew, out to address the problem. His solution was to personally patch the drywall on the ceiling (do not think that he is trained or qualified to do so) in such a manner that my eight year old son asked why the guy would waste his time to smear goo on my ceiling in a way that definately will have to be redone. Call after call after call to Bill Jew go unanswered. Calling the office is futile since they schedule an "appointment for our field supervisor to come out and fix it right away!" only to sit waiting fr this person to so up and no one ever arrives, When called, no one knows anything about it, or the damage to my home or person that is to fix it......but they sure know to remind me that I still owe them $4,000! (which I cannot pay in good conscience since the project is not complete and I am certain that if they get another dime out of me, then I have NO chance to get this resolved) They keep having a 'public adjuster' try to bill my insurance company for additional things, including the cost to repair the damage that CORNERSTONE did to my home. What they originally quoted $10,000 for they are now at about $18,000 claiming to my insurance. (which I have advised to NOT pay or respond to) All in all, going on two years since I originally contacted them and I am at the point in which I am going to have the radon stack repaired by a REPUTABLE ROOFING COMPANY and have a PROFESSIONAL PAINTING CONTRACTOR repair the damage to the interior ceiling. hhhmmm, maybe I will see if I can hire the most expensive contractors I possibly can since I am just using the money that CORNERSTONE would be getting if they fixed it. Wonder if it is going to cost a few grand to repair this stuff. WORST COMPANY THAT I EVER USED!!! NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL, SCAMMERS!

    Seasonal Home Care
I will admit - I've used this company before and been perfectly happy with their service. This time though? Not so much ... It started with me agreeing to a certain price and scheduling the service. Pretty standard, right? Well ... after the technician performed the service he gave me a bill with a different price - which was $30 more than I had agreed to pay originally. So - I called to discuss this and the "manager" told me that the price was not what the technician suggested but $10 less (still $20 more than I agreed to pay. Not acceptable. He refused to honor the price I agreed to when I originally scheduled the service and we "settled" in the middle and I paid the bill. Not professional, not cool, and totally unacceptable. The price difference isn't what mattered - no one should be asked to pay one penny more than they were told the job would cost. And no - I was not given a "quote" - I was given a PRICE, which I agreed to. I refuse to work with dishonest companies who play tricks like this on their customers. I would not recommend them and I will certainly not be using them again.

Amruss Inc & Isabela Skalna Inc
Great service. I selected this company online to clean the gutters of my 2 story home. They contacted me via phone that same evening. My home has more square footage than their standard offer so I had a to pay a minor upcharge - but was still well below the rate I've paid other gutter cleaners. They were clean and left the invoice in my mailbox. I think thy missed 1 short stretch of gutter in the center of the house on 2nd story between windows, b/c that section is visibly clogged, but I have not yet called them - just noticed this a few days ago during heavy rainstorm. Would recommend them.

    LAKE COOK EXTERIORS INC
This is actually the second time we have used Lake Cook Exteriors. They replaced downspouts on a rental property. That went so well we decided to hire them for a siding replacement for our primary home. From start to finish the process was flawless. Don, the salesman, was professional, prompt and kept us updated everyday. He explained the processes and helped us to make more informed choices on what we wanted for the final look of our home. Jack and Jerry, the installers were the real stars as they arrived early in the morning and didn't go home until dark. The April weather was freezing cold, but they worked each and every day without stopping. The one thing that I found very interesting was they didn't rip off the siding all at at once. I have seen companies do that in our neighborhood. They only took off what they felt they could complete in a day, The attention to detail was phenomenal. They even surrounded the electrical outlets and the water spickets. They cleaned up each day and the final clean up was well done. The house looks amazing.

Windy City Roofing & Siding Contractors LLC
Ony was excellent. He dropped what he was doing to come look at my roof and was at my house within an hour. (Which was awesome, because we were starting a big interior painting project the next day. Fortunately, he didn't find any major problem and even fixed a loose piece of flashing for me and wouldn't take my money. It is nice to know that there are honest and professional people out there. I definitely will use Windy City for all of my roofing and siding needs. Highly recommend.

The estimate was done quickly, they listened to my concerns, kept me posted on when the job would be started and were prompt. Overall great service PLUS they had the lowest costs of the estimate I got,

    LandMark Exteriors
I can't comment on the quality of their work since they wouldn't contact us regarding an estimate. The company was recommended by a neighbor who is using them but when I called them for an estimate, I had to repeatedly call and email them to ask where it was. After about 3 weeks, we finally got an estimate but it was missing quotes for services we had discussed. I was told those would be addressed but after another 3 or 4 weeks of phone calls and emails and excuses, we gave up and moved on to another contractor.

    Attic Air
Awesome job. These are the guys to hire. They showed up 45 minutes early, got right to work. Kept me informed every step of the way. Only took them about two hours. Work was excellent, house was left clean. They discovered the issue with the exhaust fan collar and corrected it. Put eight additional inches of insulation throughout the attic and even more above our toddler's room, which had been very cold. We can tell the difference now as far as warmth. They also attached a block of insulation to the access panel in her room to further hold in heat. Company owner came by to inspect the work mid-project. They insisted I take a look at the attic work so I was satisfied. Honored the 5 percent off coupon from Angie's List. "I gave them a B on price because of the cost of the two small screens, charged $100 apiece, which I thought was a little steep.
