Basement Waterproofing reviews in Libertyville

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
Their representative, Jeff Kowilik, was professional and very knowledgeable. He actually pointed out a couple of potential leak spots that the competitor's rep had missed. Their business is family owned and has a great reputation. Anyone I spoke with gave them high marks. Because I had the work looked at near the end of the year the work won't be done until mid January. One positive of their work is their warranty is transferrable to multiple future owners of the house.

    The Real Seal LLC
We are finishing our basement, and while we've never had any seepage, we wanted to repair any cracks that were going to be behind the drywall. Both the estimator and the repairman were honest, knowledgeable, respectful of our home and thorough in their work. We had a minor scheduling hiccup that the office immediately addressed, and everyone could not have been nicer.

    Aqua Doctor Plumbing
We hired The Aqua Doctor and they did the work. Last Saturday (October 14, 2017) was the rainiest 24 hour period in recorded history and we don't have any moisture or seepage in the basement. We are very happy with the work performed.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
I did get a call back. The last call back was a response from the above review and I hope to get another one now. We played phone tag several times after that review. When I finally got to talk to the person, he told me: "Sorry I answered your call. I thought you were someone else I have been waiting on I must clear this line so I'll call you back in about 10 minutes". This is a very busy time for them and I do understand how busy they are, but my basement is still unprotected because their equipment malfunctioned. I did not hear back from him so after several days I called again. We played phone tag - again. When we spoke, he was more concerned that I would write a review of the facts that looked bad when their system failed for a third time than the fact no one returned my calls and helped me out. Their own techs told me on each of the three floods that THEIR equipment was at fault and I want it replaced. He did offer to see if I could get by with a portion of the SumpPro being replaced and not the whole thing (maybe I did not need batteries and just the charger for a discount). That last conversation was over a 9 days ago. He told me he would get back to me that same afternoon. I have left 2 more messages since that last conversation. I am not at all sure why their usually great customer care has fallen to such a low level. I was happy with them many years ago when they fixed a crack and I see they have a good reputation here so I have given them the benefit of the doubt. Please contact me and get this resolved. I have been patient for the past 3 years but now I am growing angry.

    U.S. Waterproofing
Gary K. was prompt, personable, thorough, and happy to answer all of my questions during an analysis of our recently purchased home's drainage system indoors and out (and most importantly very knowledgeable). Highly recommended.

Concrete Crawlspaces & Basement Waterproofing Corp
This is a tough and dirty job. The crew was very polite and didn't even leave any mess! They dug trenches to the footing along all 4 walls of the whole crawl, set the drain tile and sump pump and vapor barrier, all before lunch! We had a 1 pm city inspection, no problems there, and then the concrete mixer truck showed up and they pumped in the concrete. My village required my sump pit to drain to the city's storm sewers, and trenching to the street would have cost a fortune. They were able to run an ejection pipe through my basement ceiling to where my other sump pit ejects. Village inspector was happy with the work and my crawlspace is now dry and looks amazing! Just a warning to others that concrete puts out a TON of humidity into the house. After 24 hours water was trickling down the basement walls and all our windows were wet and fogged up. We bought a 70 pint dehumidifier and after only an hour the basement walls were dry. We've been running it continuously so we capture whatever humidity the concrete loses.

    Atlas Restoration LLC
Atlas performed just as they promised to do, except that they brought in an extra crew and finished a day early. This was very much appreciated. There have been several rain storms since the repair was done and the basement is completely dry. I am very satisfied and would recommend Atlas.

    High Tech Waterproofing LLC
It didn't. Very poorly handled with communication and sensitivity to issue at hand as communicated at outset of service order. Didn't receive a call that he wouldn't show until the time he was expected to show, and no effort to expedite a reschedule or send a replacement employee instead.

    The Real Seal LLC
The previous homeowners had received an estimate from The Real Seal for fixing foundation cracks that were seeping.  I called and spoke to the man who did the estimate a few times with questions and he always returned my calls promptly and was more than willing to talk about what he saw and insisted he didn't think additional work such as encapsulation was necessary and simply recommended using a dehumidifier, so there was definitely no upselling and they were very honest.  They communicated well and called the week before my appointment to ask if my appointment could be moved sooner.  The man who came to seal the cracks was very polite and the work seems to have been done well.

    U.S. Waterproofing
The estimator was curteous and prompt, and discussed his recommended
solution for our home. He provided and estimate on the spot, but then
persisted on trying to get me to sign a contract on the spot despite my
telling him that I would not do that. After a few attempts, I told him
that if he did not drop it that I would ask him to leave. He asked me if
he could foillow-up, and I asked him to give me a week to gather some
more information. US Waterproofing proceeded to call me and e-mail me daily for the next few business days in spite of my request to not contact me. I sent them an e-mail to not contact me anymore, and that if I decided to move forward I would contact them. They have continued to call me and contact me. It's obnoxious and I would not recommend them. Not only have they used "hard sales" tactics, but I found other very reputable service providers that offer the same solution for much less. Now they leave me messages about giving me a "serious discount", and I just want them to leave me alone.
