  1/23/21 Great experience today at Chicago Lawn Mower/Show Blower on W. Montrose. My Toro snow blower wouldn't start. Steve diagnosed my problem: I had not fully emptied out the gas in the spring. This caused the carburetor to malfunction. He explained that it's best to run the machine until it stops in order to make sure the gas tank is completely empty. In less than 15 minutes, the snow blower was cleaned, carburetor flushed and some new gas added. Not only does it run beautifully, it looks brand new! The shop is clean, the service friendly yet efficient and the price incredibly reasonable for the work. I have used this shop several times before, In fact, I exchanged my old snow blower for the one I have now. It's a small family owned shop.   Excellent service, prompt, reasonable prices. One of the biggest problems with a a mower or blower repaired is getting it to some ones shop. Dave brings him shop to you. His man has all the tools on site. He has a hydraulic lift, a grinder for blades, lots of tools and parts and his owner power source. Great guy who knows his stuff. Dave used to work for one of the largest mower and blower firms in the country and knows his stuff. I'll be using him again in the future. Best way to reach Dave is to call and leave a message or to email him. He won't call you back in 5 minutes during the day as he is out in the field repairing some ones mower or blower

  While unable to repair due to cost of parts/labor (as much as cost of item itself) he was able to diagnose problem, turn in to company under warranty and within a week I had both my depost back from him and a new trimmer from Greenworks. Great service on both their parts. I thought his hourly rate was a bit high but I have not had any repair work done lately so hesitate to comment further on this as I did not have any repair work done and he quickly returned the deposit I had left for the repair since covered under warranty.
