    Superior Chimney Services Corporation
I could not wait write this review! I have nothing but praise for Superior Chimney Services, from start to finish. I knew that the top half of our chimney needed to be rebuilt. Making the appointment was a breeze. The response was prompt, professional and incredibly courteous. Nick was our technician and not only took pictures to document the status of my chimney, but explained everything utterly clearly. This was followed up by an absolutely beautiful job on my chimney! Anthony and Billy did all of the work. The brick matched beautifully to my old brick. And, once again, they were prompt, courteous, and completely professional. Anthony made sure to explain every step to me, and it was all documented with photos. I have not been so happy with a home repair in quite a while! I would recommend Superior Chimney to anyone looking for an inspection, a sweep or a rebuild. So happy with the whole process!

    Chase Roofing and Tuckpointing
The leak started leaking again after the first freeze. I called them back to repair the 5 year guaranteed work that was given to me in writing. After multiple no show / no calls, they started hanging up on me, answering my calls and returning my voicemails. I am now out the $450 that I paid for the repairs and a leaky roof. Do not use this company, they are not a good outfit.

    Barry Cargill Masonry
Barry did an outstanding job on my fireplace! He tore down the old brick and rebuilt the fireplace with a beautiful newer more modern stone that we picked out. I am very pleased with the job he did. He was very polite and professional!

Jim was professional and nice above and beyond from the start. We received 5 quotes from Angie's List top rated companies and Jim was very competitive. After his initial visit, Jim emailed a detailed quote with visuals. We gave him a date we wanted it installed by and they met the date, even though weather was really bad this summer. When they showed up to start, they had 5 people that worked nonstop from 8am-5pm each of the 3 days besides a 45 minute lunch break (and it was hot and humid!). Chuck, the foreman on site, was very good and kept us up to date. The slope of our yard was greater then expected, so they had to build a mound and sod on last day to make it look nice. They did that, as well as adding a step into the yard, for no extra charge. The patio is beautiful and all our neighbors, near and some far, stop and ask about it. We couldn't be more happy with the job. If we ever had another project within Arrowhead's realm, we would definitely use them again without question.

    Robert's General Masonry Repair
Our chimney leaked every time it rained. We tried 4 different companies before we found Robert's General Masonry. Robert expertly repaired and sealed our oddly shaped, 50 year old chimney. His quality work repaired our chimney and now we have no leaking for the first time in 11 years. I HIGHLY recommend his company for any chimney repair/masonry/tuckpointing. He is professional, friendly, honest and hardworking. I hope to not need his services in the future, but if I do, I will not hesitate to use his company again.

    ASW Restoration Corp
I was impressed with Adam's truthfulness in telling me that I did not need a masonry pro to do the work. He told me the name of the product I would need to do the work myself. If I have any other masonry concerns, I would not hesitate to call upon Adam again. Honest contractors are always what I am looking for.

    Gates Painting & Drywall
September 13, 2010, I hired Gates Painting to power wash the roof, clean the gutters, paint window trim and iron work and repair masonry to the exterior of our house. There were numerous problems with this job pertaining to poor standard of workmanship and incomplete work that we received in relation to the above job. See the following for the work we got instead: Items on Original Contract that was not done Brick work on right side of front steps not repaired at all. Storms/screens not put back on. Carelessly left on terrace. Number one reason for hiring Mr. Gates initially was to get the roof cleaned. In fact was number one line item on the contract. Mr. Gates tried to talk homeowner out of doing this after we hired him as he felt we were going to be "opening up Pandora's box of problems." A tiny attempt to clean roof tiles was made on a small section at the back of the house. Roof was not cleaned at all. Homeowner got the impression that Mr. Gates was not interested in cleaning the roof after all. Was not done at all. Several key areas of the house were missed and not painted. Gutters were not cleaned at all as was included in the contract. Homeowner repeated asked about when gutters were going to be cleaned. Brick work on back steps to terrace not done at all. Unsatisfactory work or issues Mess on front door step (vines, paint chips etc.) was finally cleaned up by landscaper after being left by workers, after several days. Was asked to ONLY remove vines covering windows for access to paint, with clippers. Two different size clippers were provided by homeowners as workers did not bring any and never did, to the job site. Vines were ripped away from house causing additional bricks to come loose from outside walls. WAY too many vines unnecessarily removed leaving large bare area on front of house. This was acknowledged by Mr. Gates upon a discussion with homeowner. Perennial flowers removed and trampled from front garden area under living room window, unnecessarily and without authorization. Front door painted improperly. Leaving scraped, white stripe along entire right edge from top to bottom. Homeowner discussed with Mr. Gates prior to work being done, that door was required to be open to allow for drying time. Approved by homeowner as she was going to be home all day. Homeowner was not made aware of when they were painting or asked to keep door open after the painting was finished. White painted overspill left on all the screens with no attempt to be careful or to remove was made. Large amount of white paint chips from scraping storms/screens was left all over the terrace which was eventually cleaned up by landscaper and homeowner. Brick work on the corner of the house near the terrace completed but is a horrendous job. No attempt to color match mortar was made or even close. Grey cement was used instead of white. Looks UGLY!!!!! Cement mess left everywhere. Just horrible!!!! All over foliage, patio, recycling bin, railings, window sill and hinges at basement door and on patio furniture. Huge hardened glops left on gate and ground at the rear of the yard. Dried and hardened cement smears left everywhere on the walls and steps near terrace. At the end of each business day job site was left a mess. Paint tarps left throw to the side or still laid out, on the terrace, open paint cans left for dogs to get into, and cigarette butts repeated left on the ground. Paint cans were put on furniture leaving paint on furniture. etc. Homeowner repeatedly, daily asked workers to be more thoughtful when leaving the job so that our dogs could not get into things (which they did every night). Homeowner constantly had to pick up after workers had left for the day. Multiple discussions on this were had by Mr. Gates and homeowners. It never improved. Because of open paint cans left at the end of the work day, our puppy got into paint and had it all over her and tracked throughout the house. Water hose was left on every day and had to be turned off by homeowner. Workers paintbrushes etc. cleaned at hose location and left a sloppy mess every night. Paint etc. killed foliage under where brushes were cleaned. Paint etc. Left to soak into flower beds. Homeowner works from home, on several occasions, workers could clearly and easily be heard several times using f-words and other profanities. Landscaper reported that he saw workers lounging and asleep in homeowners patio chairs with feet on furniture. On several occasions furniture was left carelessly in disarray after use by workers. Homeowner to clean and straighten up at night. Upon removal of old metal TV antenna, metal brackets were left screwed into the brick wall. No attempt to remove. Looks bad! The copper gutters over the patio area were severely dented in two areas. It appears that these dents were caused by leaning a ladder against them while painting the windows and not using any type of protection.

They did an outstanding job on the walkway. They were very good at paying attention to detail. They worked well with us. If we weren't outside to see the progress they were making or to OK a section before they went on with the work they would knock on the door to get us.
