    Terrible experience. Didn't show up on time. Had to have job done twice because the first time the grout was still dirty. The dirt was sealed into grout. Sealer was applied to whole floor instead of just the grout. Now floors are very slippery and I fell and hurt my head and arm. The company will not answer email or calls. Owner Bill Shank will not take my calls so we can resolve this issue. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY they are a nightmare.

    Bill was fantastic. I hired Bill to fix a job that someone else did. I remodeled my kitchen and Bill had to come in and rip out the marble backsplash, put in new drywall and put new marble up. He was extremely careful with my new granite countertops and cabinets and did a great job with the installation. His attention to detail was very good, as was the guy he had with him. Bill was very responsive from initial contact and immediately came out to bid the job. He was able to do the work later in the week and cleaned up well after he was done. I had multiple tile guys come to my house to bid this work and I'm very happy that I went with Bill. I would definitely recommend him for any tile work you need. He did great with my marble backsplash!

    It went great! It took about 4 weeks to get it ready to move in. Another 2 weeks to do the basement remodel. Everything is gorgeous. I had a few unusual requests, but they were able to solve the problems and get the job done. I love this company...no problems and a beautiful result!

    They came out for an estimate, the person who came out was very nice, and was in and out quickly. We scheduled a date for the service during his visit, and I offered deposit, but he said with such a small job it was not necessary. Come the day of the appointment no one showed up. Of course not many of us are off of work at 8 am on a Monday, so I took personal time for the service call. I called and spoke with Jenny, who was nice and apologized for what happened. My issue is there was no accommodation made on their side for the mistake. They gave me one day and time during the same week that they had open and that was it. I asked for another day possibly, and I was told it was the one time offered or it would have to be the following week. This wasn't my mistake, I have an estimate with a scheduled date and time on it. Yet, I have to fit there schedule. You would think with such a small job, probably 2 hours at most, someone would be able to come and get it done when it worked for the customer. Especially considering I mentioned I had to take time off work for this. I'm sure they do good work, they are highly rated, and mistakes happen. My only advice is to make sure you confirm your appointment and don't rely on the estimator to relay the scheduling commitment. Otherwise you will be out 2 days of work, because they won't make any offer to help.

    I am a very fussy person and notice the smallest of details. Just like before with the hardwood floors, I couldn't have been more pleased with the work they did. They asked questions at the beginning of the job about how I wanted the tile to look (things I hadn't considered before) accounted for the lack of 'squareness' in the walls, and were true professionals. The best quality of work, great crew, on time and for a great price. I will continue to call them for all of my flooring needs hardwood, tile or otherwise!

    The work, as advertised, was to clean floor tile. I mis-read the services and thought the wall tile around the tub was included. It was not, but the crew was kind enough to do it anyway. The total square footage cleaned was still well below the threshold amount of 300 s.f. for the quoted price. My only concern was that they charged a $15 "service fee" which was in addition to what I had already paid, was not advertised when I purchased the service, and had to be paid upfront before any work was initiated.

    Job went exactly as planned.  On the first day, a five man crew trenched along the two walls where the drain tile was broken, replaced the drain tile, backfilled with stone, and leveled.  Crew installed new sump for sump pump and repaired cracks in walls. Crew then laid down the vapor barrier over the entire floor of the crawl space.

    On the second day the concrete floor was poured as planned.  Three man crew worked the crawl space leveling and floating the concrete.  Job went very well. Crew installed temporary cover over the open crawl space wall vent used for the concrete pump hose. 

    On the third day, a small crew was back to seal the two vent openings in the crawl space wall with concrete blocks and cement.  The backup battery operated sump pump was also installed and piped up to the main sump pump discharge line using appropriate check valves.

    All crews laid down protective cloth to keep family room carpet clean.  Crawl space opening is in family room.  All crews did an excellent job of cleaning up after work was completed.  Crews were very polite and professional and kept me informed of progress.  I was very pleased with the quality of the entire job.

    They came. We have a very uneven basement floor. We can see it even it's carpeted. We never realized just how bad it was until after the flood. They did absolutely great drywall work. It was a good price.

    The work was fabulous, way better than either Michael or we thought it would be.  Michael thought at least the first three rows of subway tile above the tub would probably be damaged or destroyed; we thought the entire wall of tile might come down.  Well, Jack and his assistants (a) arrived on time at 8:00 a.m. to the second, (b) employed the usual traditional way of removing a cast iron tub -- sledge hammers.  The tub came out in two pieces in about a half hour.  (c) The crew spent 20 minutes cleaning up debris.  (d) With great trepidation I crept in to survey the damage: to my surprise and delight not a single subway tile was damaged, all the way down to where the top edge of the tub had been.  (e) And the room was amazingly clean to boot.  The crew was gone by 9:00 a.m.  (f) And Michael's final total bill was half that of the contract we had signed.  He would have been completely within his rights to charge the full contract amount.
    Removal of the tub was necessary in order to access failing radiator feed and return pipes located underneath. Once they are repaired or replaced we will put the bathroom back together in a remodel.  It has always been our intention that Top Notch would do the entire project, both demolition and remodel, but I think Michael might have assumed he might not get the bigger follow-on job.  Well, now that all the old tile is still in place the remodel will be smaller, but Top Notch most assuredly will get the work.

    Complete Remodel. Removed wallpaper - patched walls as needed. Removed old shower, vanity and sink. Removed old light fixture, mirror, toilet, base trim and floor (linoleum). Built new wall and moved plumbing to accomodate larger shower stall. Installed new shower base, faucet, drain, shower surround and door. Installed new vanity and sink, faucet, drain, light, toilet, base trim and shoe. Installed new underlayment, ceramic tile and grout. Installed towel bars and toilet paper holder. Reinstalled mirror. Painted ceiling and walls. Hauled away bulky debris. This is the second bathroom Steve has remodeled for me. He exceeded my expectations. A pleasure to work with. Fair and honest. I wouldn't hire anyone else.
